For working professional time is very important.
If you feel you have very less time, then dedicate that for syllabus completion of fundamental subjects.
Dont give that time for newspaper.
When time is less,then prioritise..
Read Editorials and Daily current affairs from any reputed UPSC related website.

Sir what should be the approach that has to be given to the news articles of SC news and their Verdicts!?
Whenever a SC verdict comes, read news article to know what they have said in the verdict. No need to spend too much time in article.
If the verdict is very important for Nation, then surely editorials will follow in both Hindu and Express.
Read Editorials to understand and know the full background of the verdict.
Or just google, that case name and "UPSC".
thank you so much sir. it helps me a lot!!!!!!
Sir Text & Context column mandatory ? to read
Sir, what is the difference between article& news?
A news is a report of what actually happened. It's just telling the facts.
But an article can be a news, Explainer, Analysis, Opinion, Editorial.etc..
Thanks sir, very useful
Sir how to use one liner notes for mains purpose
News paper la endha edition best Naga irukura area la the hindhu newspaper madurai edition tha kedaiku thu it's enough for upsc
Thank You very Much Sir
Is it must Listen to ALL INDIA RADIO news? Yes means, How listen effectively beginner?
Just read Newspaper.
There is a programme called Spotlight at 9:15 PM daily, entire collection is available in their website. That show is enough for preparation. But not mandatory if you are regular with editorials.
The Hindu Chennai region..pothuma nga sir?...illa Delhi based follow pannanuma nga sir

Dear Sir,
1.) While reading e-paper (The Hindu) why should we read Delhi edition?
2.) Regarding Monthly CA magazine, should I have to read/follow every month or I should revise combined after Feb?
Kindly Reply!
1) Delhi Edition has "Text & Context" section which is relevant to UPSC preparation.
News and Editorials sections are same in all editions.
Only for Text Context.
2) Monthly reading is better.
Buy a monthly magazine, you have one month time to finish it.
It enables us to internalize the current affairs better and allows time for revision.
Bundling it after march is hectic and difficult to internalize and revise.
However when we dont have time studying everything in march is fine.
Now when we have time.. we can go monthly.
@@CuriousAdilsir this vedio really helped me a lot can I know which monthly magazine is easier to understand like now only I'm starting newspaper reading but I skipped June, july and August so I wanna cover those month current affairs and I don't want to read question and answer format magazines
@@thomasdefrancias9853 Read any reputed institute's current affairs compilation.
Vision, Vajiram, Rao etc..
Thank you sir
Appo, the new Indian Express padikka koodatha sir...!
Please suggest how to organize notes for prelims and mains sir
For subjects or current affairs?
Suggesting on both will be useful sir
Thanks a lot

நன்றி ஐயா...
Sir, how about text&content pages at the last..? And how to read editorial and make notes out of it for mains purpose?
How to read editorials, i ll post soon.
Sir, Now I understand How to read newspaper. But it took a more time to read and understand the concept😇😣. So I don't have time to read anything else. It's make feeling bad. I don't know what to do..
I think being consistent is a key once you got used you will get to know to read and make notes
Always keep upsc syllabus when you study news🙂
You can make notes and make note of the topic ex:agri, industry, dev, budget -gs3
So do this you all the best
Bro,,
News paper how many year data want to be read. Like last 1 or 6 month
1 Year is what everyone tells.
But be consistent from whichever day you are starting to read.
Sir.. how can I take notes from newspaper for my optional
Which Optional?
@@CuriousAdil Anthropology sir
@@bavanibavani5377 Well I can't advice for Anthro.
But general rule is relate the optional syllabus with current affairs and pick examples.
Newspaper will give you contemporary examples for optional answer writing.
@@CuriousAdil Ok sir.. tq
Anna..Irrespective of syllabus profiles column padikanuma?Illa syllabus relate panni padikanuma?
Always prioritise your time for Syllabus based reading.
Clearing exam is very important.
But to read profile section irrespective of syllabus will widen your knowledge and your understanding about the world.
Read profiles in free time.
📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌📌Sir. I'm just starting my preparation. So for upcoming one year ku verum statics matum padikanuma then next one year ku news paper involve pannikalama? Or what should I do sir??
You can do that, but have a habit of reading newspaper continuously for better gathering
70 % work on static use 30 % on current affairs
When ur going to give your attempt?
@@dhanyaanbalagan3821 tq so much for your support 😇
@@sathishkumar-rj3wl thank you ❤
Sir some articles or reports have lots of data/statistical data. Is it mandatory to memorise all those data to show uniqueness in mains answer writing? It is difficult to read such thing. Kindly explain this sir.
No need to remember all data.
Just note down those, which you feel is worthy in Answer Writing and more relevant to syllabus.
How to identify those?
It comes with experience and answer writing practice..
The more u do answer writing practice..the more u ll learn.
I also highlight Important data to be noted in my weekly Editorials initiative.
@@CuriousAdil why Adil sir restricted to only one class per week ? If it continues knowledge gained from you gets reduced...... kindly focus to increase the number of classes
@@GANESH-cq4ze It is just my time availability.
I am engaged in other works too..
Surely I ll make it two soon.
Daily reading newspaper but taking notes before 3 months of prelims is enough?
No. I said to take notes for entire year so that revision in last three months is comfortable.
