Cost was 70,000 ugx (19usd) journey was approximately 13hrs, buses depart daily, I've only used 1 bus service, so there could be others that are more comfortable, but Volcano is my favorite because it doesn't make stops on the way unlike other buses.

we are trying to go Biwindi Impenetrable forest - was thinking of taking the bus from Goma into Uganda? It's a little tricky to find information.. if you have any advice!
Yes, volcano buses go to Goma and back to Uganda. Come from Goma to Kisoro, then go to Kabale, then get small mini bus from Kabale to Kanungu- then go to Buhoma which is where Bwindi is. But Bwindi is big. There's Kisoro side (Mgahinga) and Kanungu side (Buhoma) choose what you want.
You were my source of information when I was looking to move to Kampala, now you are in Kigali? I wish you had visited when I was there so I can ask a lot of questions - The one week here I found out that Kampala is so expensive that I thought! Please do a market tour and we compare. Sometimes I ask myself which contribution do people like mayor bring to the development of Kampala?. Remember those days when Jennifer Musisi was trying to organize Kampala, the lord mayor was the leader of those who were opposing her.
In uganda the city politicians are the one who have blocked the organisation and. Cleaniness in the city. Rwandese had to endure alot of discomfort to make the city clean, but here whenever government comes up with an idea of upgrading and organizing that's when u will be seeing every politician coming to oppose them. That's why the government is reluctant. Until we get politicians with objectives, Kampala will change

Beautiful Kigali! The filth and Dust in Kampala is second to none!! Absolutely dirty city if only the mayor or the people decide once and for all to come together as a community every other weekend to clean the city, get rid of crazy bodas and just take pride in the city… the countryside is great but the city of kampala, nope, Good for Rwanda though.
