  • Let's make a gingerbread house! I have a confession, I have actually never tried making one of these before and I was a little intimidated to try- but oh my lordie. Soo much fun and so much easier than I expected. I think the cookie cutters really do help since they puzzle together and hold nicely :)
I used the gingerbread premix, royal icing premix, gingerbread house cutter, gold rush sprinkles and premixed christmas sprinkles all from the lovely people over at @mydreamcake. You can find all the above tools and more at the my dream cake website listed in our bio or here: bit.ly/rosiesdessertspot

Rosie, your gingerbread house looks absolutely beautiful. You're simply the best, my friend. I sent you Christmas wishes, sweetie.

My German-Dutch grandma used to put molasses in hers- she always said it’s not gingerbread without brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice, clove, vanilla, MOLASSES, brandy and a little cardamom. 😂
I’ve slowly started doing variations on it but it’s a pretty good recipe.
In recent years I smoosh it into home made ice cream, turn the cookies into little balls and dot them through the ice cream and this year I’m going to smoosh gingerbread cake into my ice cream instead.
Good recipe and the house looks cute. 🙂
