I'm really perplexed as to why this hasn't been picked up by the algorithm and shown to a lot more people, this is really really well made! You're so friendly and respectful toward the people you meet, and your curiosity made me smile throughout the whole video! Hope you enjoyed your stay here :)
Thank you Davion. This was fabulous, Yes, Norways beauty is so majestic. I could not get over it. i appreciated the living history tour. we did not get a chance to do this but your coverage was a great way to experience it.
Great Video :) i lived in that village for a few weeks last year as an Viking was a experience for a lifetime :) after the gates closed to for the public we had some great bonfires and made food ,sang ,played the drums and lutes
Thanks for the video! I'm going in september for 9 days to Norway and make a roadtrip from Oslo to Trondheim and also take a look at this village so I'm even more exited then before.
I was there last August and you were fortunate to see all those working there. When I was there it was quite empty and the feeling was that it was only a park with actors... not real. But nice in any case worth a visit. On the other hand, both Flam and Gudvangen areas are spectacular in nature. I loved Norway!
Ahhhh I’m sorry t hear that:/. Yes it was very lovely when I went. I was very blessed to meet and get to know the people inside the village a little bit. I definitely want to go back and spend a week there for sure.
This was such a good video! I'm not Norwegian, but I felt strangely happy seeing you enjoy Scandinavia so much. I have to visit Njardarheim myself for sure!
Thank you for the kind words 🙏! Yess I was so in love with just the nature, the people. It just felt heavenly, I have to go back and try camping next time too!! You have to go for a visit!
This was an amazing video, and I’m so happy for you to have been able to take this trip. Even seeing it through a screen is amazing, so I can only imagine how it felt in real life. I would love to know the cost of a trip like this, so perhaps people could gauge planning for something similar. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for the kind words!! I will look through how much it cost and add it to the description next month. But yes this was one of my favorite trips so far!
Thank you for the kind words. Just trying to keep going and making videos to help others see the world. You should check out my website -davionwest.com, should be in the description.
@@DavionWest like gigantic ice sandpaper with sand and rocks at the bottom, and errotion the last 12-13000 years:) Nice video by the way. Next time go further north. For the midnight sun, northern lights, and even more beautyfull landscapes;)
To be a Viking was a type of profession aka piracy, not an ethnic group or culture. Better to say Norse or Germanic farmer tbh. In Norwegian we say: “å gå i viking». In the beginning, it was mainly trade, but then later when they discovered the British Isles they figured raiding villages, monasteries and killing monks was a quick way of getting riches. The majority of the year they would tend to their farms.

Why does Greg remind me of the local English monk, tolerated by the Vikings, sent from Lindisfarne Northumberland to convert the heathens? 🤔

What is the process of living here?
I’m not too sure at all. But I’m sure online you might be able to find someone who works there. I hope you’re able to find out :)
