I've been dealing with really bad anxiety and depression for....god, ever since I can remember, like, maybe since I was 12? I'm 25 years old now, and things don't really get easier, you just get used to the weight of things, but it doesn't mean it's not heavy. The idea of suicide has always been lurking around the corner of my mind somehow. I guess sometimes you just get so, so tired, you just don't have the will or the strength to keep on going. Emotional exhaustion really can get the best of you, and I've been in that dark, hopeless place more times than I wish I could say. Life is indeed very hard, but it has it's beauty and little things that makes you want to stick around, and that's what I've been holding on to, what's kept me here.
It's not easy to admit to yourself when you're struggling, or when you're not in a right place of mind, It takes a lot of courage, and you're incredibly courageous and brave, Wendy. Your resilience has always amazed me, ever since I first stumbled upon your channel a little over 2 years ago, you're very inspiring, and how you choose to see light, even if it's just a little blurred, uncertain speck floating around space. You're a wonderful woman, and I hope you know how badass you are :)

I have been there myself. Im Bi-polar. I have very highs and very dark lows. Just remember you are not alone. There are millions just like you. Just remember tomorrow is another day. This day will not last. You have a chance to change it and not dwell on it. Keep you head up!! Hugs!!

As far as the trolls go, they are sick. At the same time, they think their hero's behind a keyboard. I can bet almost 95% of those trolls wouldn't have the courage to say the things they say to you're face. The internet and false security gives them nerve to think its okay to be cruel and hateful. All we can do is scroll past and pray for them. If the roles were reversed, they would of felt the same way you did. Keep you're head up Wendy! Many people love you're videos and wisdom/thoughts. Greetings from Los Angeles, Wendy. I happened to see your video about your life with Bree while looking for something else on RUclips. I thought I'll watch a minute or two and see what it's about, and ended up watching the whole thing and then going to your channel to find out how you're doing now. I'm so sorry about the loss of Bree. They really do take a bit of you with them when they go, don't they? A hole that can never be filled.
When the invalid mother of my neighbor passed, my neighbor then sat in her car parked out front of her house for nearly two years because her purpose was suddenly gone and she didn't know what to do with herself when she was home. My own story is different, but I understand her desire to sit in the car.
I'm rambling, but really I just wanted to say how amazing I think you are. Thank you for sharing your story.
As far as the ugly things people say on the internet, just remember that you are being judged by people who don't have their own shit together. It's called “Performative Cruelty”

@@WendyGilker I didn't know what to call it, but I see it everyday! Especially surrounding our current political issues. People come here to pick fights, shit talk strangers just because they disagree, and I can't stand it! The performative cruelty needs to stop, it will only lead to our detriment.

Lord, help me to love others and delight in honoring them. Help me become humble, gentle, patient, and to bear with others in love. I’ll do everything in my power to keep peace in my relationships. I’ll bless those who speak negatively, and I won’t pay back evil when someone has been rude or ugly to me. God, with Your help, I won’t let someone else’s actions dictate my behavior. I’ll encourage and build others up. I’ll exhibit love, be patient, and be kind. I won’t be jealous, boastful, proud, or rude. In humility, I’ll consider others as better than myself. As much as it depends on me, God, I’ll live at peace with everyone. In Jesus name Amen.

Thank you Debby, I keep posting info when I get help from a young college student. I am always learning and whatever info I can share that will make someone's else's journey easier then it is all worth it and it carries on Bree's legacy as she continues to be my motivation. I do get challenged by the trolls though. It is hard to understand how they can be so mean.
You are such a wonderful and inspirational person. I definitely look up to you. Life can be hard, but pushing through with a positive attitude is the best way to live through any hardship. I am battling stage 4 breast cancer for the 2nd time and I amaze my doctors with a good attitude. I think it’s part of my physical healing process. You really shine with passion, insight and love. You really do. Bree was amazing blessed to have you as her mommy.

If there were parent of the world you would no doubt win it for all time. I now live each day to the fullest so that I honor my son who passed when he was 19 years old. God bless you both💖💖.

Thank you for sharing your life and your daughters life with us. You are a special woman. I too am a special needs mom, going on 20 years. My son was born a micro preemie weighing 1 pound. He has Cerebral palsy, epilepsy, blind, and wheelchair bound. He is 100% care. He recently had surgery to have a Gtube placed and that took me 19 years to decide. It was the best thing I ever did. He is my special boy and I dont know what I would do if he wasnt here. I am a caretaker, mom of 3 boys, and a wife. That's all I've ever known. But it's the best job in the entire world. I would love to purchase your cookbook on Amazon. Could you tell me the name of it. I dont have pay pal.

There is this story about two men who get stuck in a cold cave inmits a snowstorm. One of them passes out, so the other one rubs his hands, his face, his chest, his legs to keep him warm and a live. The next day, they get help and both are brought to the hospital. The man who passed out survives and the other man says to the doctor:" I'm sure he would be dead if I hadn't rubbed his body for hours and hours to keep him warm." And the doctor just says:" So would you"
As I heard this story, i immediately thought about you and Bree. There seemed to be almost a necessity for Bree to come to this earth special and rare for you both to fulfill your true potential. And the warmth that you two divine souls have generated, the warmth that you spread by just taking about your life, has the potential to keep a lost soul, such as mine alife. So I can't imagine how strong the heath of healing, of epiphany must have felt for you. For all the soul's that are ready to feel and see the light your doughter brought to the world, she is a blessing beyond words. You are the embodiment of a Mother, a teacher, one of the world's most gifted students and I honor you, I kneel bevor you.

Wendy my cousin has cerebral palsy and she cannot walk speak or move . Seeing bree gave me the inspiration to be a caregiver for my cousin .
I to have a disability low muscle tone but one day .my hope is to help her meaning my cousin even at 76 to walk.

I lost a child five years ago..trust me..you find strength you never knew you had. I myself felt like my life looked like everything was underwater and in slow motion. Do things at your own pace. Some days are worse then others. Breathe. Pray. Scream. Cry. Repeat.

Is that a pack of cigarettes on the table? Also, with the trolls, most of them are young and don't realize how immature and hurtful they are being. It's sad but that's youngens for you .
I do not smoke and barely ever have even a glass of wine. Yes, it is actually more sad for them that they only have a negative manner of expression.
As much as they may joke, I wouldn't put a bad name on all "younguns" because some of them have a good heart, you never know some of the trolls could be any age.

My brother got me to Ecuador, I got covid there, moved 5 times and spent 2 months in quarantine. Just did an update today.

I am so sorry for you losing Bree. I could say so many words, but I don't thing they will change anything. I can say that watching you with Bree made me see what real love is. I hope you don't feel lost but I understand if you do. I can only say that you made me a better person. I hope someday I will be a 10th of the person you are. You are amazing.
Thank you, Bree was such a blessing and she made me a better person. I am still feeling lost as the absence of such a great soul in one's life leaves a huge gape yet I move forward honoring her by sharing with others. I have moved 9 times since Bree is passed since she was my home base. Yet all is well and I receive signs all the time of her presence.
