You are an awesome guy with a great understanding of snakes, I definitely look up to you. I'm not into venomous snakes but I really appreciate how you handle them and treat them with respect, and make sure you really know what you're doing. The reptile world/world in general needs more people like you.
I'm only about 8 minutes into the video, but I think this is my favorite Viperkeeper video yet! I just love the little Forest Cobra, and the way you interacted with her. I've been watching your videos as much as possible since I discovered them on April 11th! I truly admire your work, and I admire the way you work with your snakes. Keep it up Mr. Viperkeeper, I can't wait to see more of you and your lovely family! :-) Also, very excited to see the upcoming video featuring Pink taking a stroll!
Loved the video! That baby Forest cobra is utterly charming and could trick one into believing it just wanted kisses! Elvis is such a pistol!! No mistaking that he was totally in attack mode. Had me leaning way back in my chair to get away from the monitor. Ha Ha, like that would help!
When Elvis leaves his tail outside his house it reminds me of my cat who stops just inside the door and leaves her tail in the door. I tell her: "Take your tail with you." LOL Animals are funny sometimes.
I admire the way you treat your animals. Cooler heads prevail, indeed. I cringed when Elvis made contact with the bottom of your jeans. Stay safe, man. Cheers!
Very interesting following the exploits of Mr Viperkeeper. Excellent insight to the life of a snake keeper and snakes up close & personal. Thankyou for the education, I wish you many years of bite free snake keeping.
Do you still have this Forest Cobra? I have looked at a lot of your videos and you seem so very very happy and in a good mood with this little Girl Forest Cobra. It's so sweet. She is very adorable. Of course Elvis just cracks me up. Do you still have Elvis? Sorry, I am new on here and I noticed a lot of these videos are a few years ago. You have been blessed with a very wonderful gift. These snakes seem to be really comfortable around you. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Take care.
I can't believe you remained on your knees whilst that cobra was intent on giving you a bite, it's very hard to move quickly and efficiently from that position. Very dangerous stuff, i can't believe it never got you
I am not worries if it gets out of the cage, that's happened before. My main concern is "can it get out of the room?" That answer is no. When setting up a facility I use a fiber optics scope to look into areas I cannot normally see. I plus even the tiniest holes & cracks with expandable foam. If need be I will "neutralize" any animal that has the potential to escape by any means possible, up to and including use of my shotgun.
I think that was the first time I have ever seen you not talk to your snakes whilst handling. The absence of your voice I think transfered some of the tension in that room to my seat hahah Good work!
Loved your wife, when she goes in the most calm voice ever, i am getting very unconfortable. You have the best "Camera Man" in the World awesome video! :D
Wow! Those were some close calls! Maybe you should have named him King Henry the 8th! (off with the mouse's head!). The Forest Cobra baby was refreshingly docile in comparison to the other cobras which are usually so defensive.
That little Forest Cobra is so damn cute! Knowing how humans are, I'm sure we have tried to "de-venomate" venomous snakes. What happens when one tries to carry this out? Does it mean death for the snake?
That melanoleuca is damn cute, and she has Twitchy's hood pattern! I just got a pair of Pseudoxenodon macrops and a Pseudoxenodon bambusicola, bringing my venomous count to 4 with my Boiga dendrophila. Keep up the good work!
oh wow... I saw the facebook post about this feeding, but I didnt think you got any of it on film. That king is REALLY pissed that you took his food away. He really looks like he was trying to kill you for it. I am throughly impressed with your sword fighting skills. En garde! Have at you!
Those babies are a delight to watch...so inquisitive and happy to see you It's amazing that Elvis doesn't simply spit out the pink and pick it back up again...I don't think I understand why he won't do that or why you have to make so many adjustments for them. BTW...do snakes also shed/lose and renew teeth in addition to fangs and skin?
Wow...That Forest Cobra was extra cute when she'd pop her head out of her hide, ready for another pinky. It was funny to watch the Popcorn cobras on crack. I couldn't get over the aggressiveness of the King. That boy was latching on to anything. Including your shoes! Yikes!
Al, I think very highly of you and enjoy the hell out of your vids. I know you know what you are doing, and you are the man. That being said, I saw some complacency in this video while handling the King. Be careful man, we don't want to lose you!
You know I dont think i gave you all the credit you deserve until i saw this video and how you delt with one pissy cobra. My sincerest apologies AL. Thanks again for all the hours you share with us here.
I have to agree with viperkeeper, if you want a snake you can handle get a non venomous snake. If you like Cobras check out Hognose snakes. I think you will enjoy them.
Oh, sorry Al...I meant do snakes also lose their regular teeth. I know they lose and re-grow their fangs and skin. I was just curious about the regular teeth they have and wondering if they lose and then regrow those as well.
I was just looking at some of your merchandise (T- Shirts etc). . .have you ever thought of doing a T-Shirt with the same design you use of the Coffee Mugs? Or maybe a similar design? I think that would be cool, and I'd definitely be interested.
the little forest cobra is a cutie makes u almost forget that she is deadly :/
"that's your ass" ...lol
You are an awesome guy with a great understanding of snakes, I definitely look up to you. Loved the video! That baby Forest cobra is utterly charming and could trick one into believing it just wanted kisses! Elvis is such a pistol!! No mistaking that he was totally in attack mode. Had me leaning way back in my chair to get away from the monitor. Ha Ha, like that would help!
You're faster than you look! Well done sir.
When Elvis leaves his tail outside his house it reminds me of my cat who stops just inside the door and leaves her tail in the door. I tell her: "Take your tail with you." LOL Animals are funny sometimes.
those little forest cobras are just the cutest haha
Elvis, he acting out today. I love watching , and his personality too cute
I admire the way you treat your animals. Cooler heads prevail, indeed. I cringed when Elvis made contact with the bottom of your jeans. Stay safe, man. Cheers!
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! thanks for the upload!!!
Another great video Al. Thank you.
Dang man, Elvis is being a real toad here... I admire the way you stay calm... He must have some short fangs...lol
Your videos are inspiring. I hope to be a fraction of the keeper you are, someday. Endless respect from Portland, Oregon!
Very interesting following the exploits of Mr Viperkeeper. Excellent insight to the life of a snake keeper and snakes up close & personal. Thankyou for the education, I wish you many years of bite free snake keeping.
What a stubborn snake XD He's cute. I love watching Elvis videos.
So let me get this right.. You want to hurt and terrorize animal by having it's venom glands & ducts ripped out so you can have a "pet" .
Very nice video. The King is growing so fast.
With the forest cobra thats the first time I heard you fawn over one of your snakes that much :D ultra adorable
Lol that lil forest cobra being a sweetie, all the others...
I love Viper Keeper T-shirts now available. In my mind hahahaha. Tx for the video
I was just getting over a cold. Thanks!

Yes, I still have them all.
I can't believe you remained on your knees whilst that cobra was intent on giving you a bite, it's very hard to move quickly and efficiently from that position. Very dangerous stuff, i can't believe it never got you
I have to say, Mrs. Viperkeeper has some serious guts!! I admire both of you!
WOW. Elvis was not happy. Good thing your shoes are thick! That forest cobra was such a beauty!

Al, wow do u have balls, u had me flinching all the way here in NY...... that was one pissed off Cobra....
I am not worries if it gets out of the cage, that's happened before. My main concern is "can it get out of the room?" That answer is no. Forceps, it's what's for dinner. ;)
Man, he just did not want to give up on those forceps. Great vid Al!
Hope you and your cold and warm blooded family are safe,in the chaos in the east.
:D
wow i dont know how you do it but sure do a amazing job of it.
So cute and curious, up until those teen years. Then it's like Twitchy the Second...
Wow! Those were some close calls! Maybe you should have named him King Henry the 8th! (off with the mouse's head!).
The Forest Cobra baby was refreshingly docile in comparison to the other cobras which are usually so defensive.
Mr Keeper is it a good idea that I thought of to reach down and pull the snake from my leg?????? If I’m able
Awwww she's adorable :)
adorable and deadly.my favoit
king cobra is being awesome
I know he is a dangerous snake, but that video was so funny, he was mad!
Al....this video is fantastic as usual. Keep up the good work, get to feeling better, and ignore the idiots. Thanks for all you do.
oh wow... I saw the facebook post about this feeding, but I didnt think you got any of it on film. That king is REALLY pissed that you took his food away. He really looks like he was trying to kill you for it. I am throughly impressed with your sword fighting skills. En garde! Have at you!
I love your snakes
and that last cobra is crazy should name it twitch haha
Which type of snake would you say is the most easy going? One that will still explore, look around, but typically won't try and bite.
that forrest cobra is a cutie
Aw it's sad that the king needed help and didn't understand that's what you were doing. Glad you and the misses are safe after that ordeal!
Elvis is getting big!
Bitis...my fav has to be slinky
Most babies are like that.
Thanks! Not the first time they came in handy to defend myself.
Yes, fangs are replaced on a regular basis.
Not currently, The A/V is quite expensive and made in small quanities.
love the forest cobra
Elapids get fed small meals every 7 to 10 day. Viperids small meals every 14 to 21 days.
the forest cobra was super cute
Yes, I'm sure they do also.
shes adorable!
VIPERKEEPER ROCKS.
Baby Forest Cobra section reminds me of the baby scene in "Alien Resurrection", but she's actually very cute.
Those babies are a delight to watch...so inquisitive and happy to see you It's amazing that Elvis doesn't simply spit out the pink and pick it back up again...I don't think I understand why he won't do that or why you have to make so many adjustments for them. BTW...do snakes also shed/lose and renew teeth in addition to fangs and skin?
what do you think a good first elapade ive handled all kinds of cobras at work but i want one for my privet colleection
If someone took my food I'd be pissed off too. I know this is an old vid and Elvis trusts you a lot better now.
Elvis was in a true frenzy.Sure would not want to be alone with an adult that decided to Frenzy that hard.
Wow...That Forest Cobra was extra cute when she'd pop her head out of her hide, ready for another pinky. It was funny to watch the Popcorn cobras on crack. I couldn't get over the aggressiveness of the King. That boy was latching on to anything. Including your shoes! Yikes!
Don't know and don't care to try either.
Al, I think very highly of you and enjoy the hell out of your vids. I know you know what you are doing, and you are the man. That being said, I saw some complacency in this video while handling the King. Be careful man, we don't want to lose you!
What a stunning snake. I'd love to get a Forest Cobra but they are way out of my comfort zone. Too advanced for me.
It was not eating anything, I got him as a hatchling. Took a year and a half to get him eating rodents on his own.
Are there any venomous snakes you refuse to deal with? and do you keep any non-venomous snakes as pets?
Yes
The forest cobra looks similar like a king cobra.. Like how the neck and good part.
hey viperkeepr... i was wondering how many mice an average snake need? and on average how many snakes do u feed in total?
That was terrifying to watch, but I love it!
What a peach! She is just darling. :)
She is a dolly!!! She is a sweetie!!!
You know I dont think i gave you all the credit you deserve until i saw this video and how you delt with one pissy cobra. My sincerest apologies AL. Thanks again for all the hours you share with us here.
She is a little cutee, if she wasn't venomous, I'd give her a kiss on her 'lil nose!!! =D
They are really really really rare! Therefore very very very expensive.
Good to see his Highness is being naughty as usual :)
Geez Al man, you sound kinda rough. Thanks for making the effort to stick up this weeks Friday installment. Get well soon.
Yes, 3 species
how much food do all your snakes go threw a week?
love the baby forest cobra
I think he's about 7 feet now.
I was just looking at some of your merchandise (T- Shirts etc). . .have you ever thought of doing a T-Shirt with the same design you use of the Coffee Mugs? Or maybe a similar design? I think that would be cool, and I'd definitely be interested.
I didn't know Cobras could be so nice :o
I could only wonder what snake attacking you directly when you open the cage??
