The woes of the 2023 ALCS were not address as needed. The Rangers were not overpowering. The Astros pitching fell apart. And they left about 50+ men stranded in scoring position during the ALCS. That s...t has caught up with them.
Perhaps they all actually have a life. Why waste time when they lose? Sad that many people spend their good hard earned money and precious time watching their losing teams . Which is all but about 10 teams.😂
What happened to the basics? Like running out ground balls. And squaring up on grounders so you have a better chancing of knocking the ball down if you can’t glove it.
Astros had preciously won 5/6 while holding a 383-334 head to head record all time. Them moving to the AL was the best thing to happen to me NL central

They start with just Valdez and Javier, then Valdez goes down. They get Verlander back, and then Javier goes down. Verlandar can't pitch every single game and none of their random starters can get more than 3 innings, so the bullpen is toast too.
Cutters from a RHP cutting in towards a lefty. Seems legit to me. Also, I'm fine with an ump favoring one side of the plate as long as he is consistent with it, and that guy was. He probably calls that a strike so that left handed hitters don't get hit by so many pitches. Honestly he's doing the hitter a favor.
i would have to agree. Assuming the box we're seeing is legit. everybody gets bad calls but those were the two they showed. cubs barely won, but we won.
@@cambium0 In fairness, I wasn't able to watch the game so I don't know if he gave that same pitch to Houston pitchers, but when the Astros' biggest bat is up (Alvarez) who has a great eye for the ball and draws just as many walks as strikeouts (which is extremely rare), for him not to offer at that pitch shows his plate discipline. But with guys on base, that was a big (terrible) call. Props to your Cubs for jumping all over our young pitcher early. I hope my boys can salvage this next game.

He’s got a hole in his swing. Especially when he’s batting lefty. Dips his back shoulder badly and pops up more than any other batter I’ve ever seen. Swings over top of anything right down the middle. Hope he gets some work done on that soon
