The plot line was not believable. Whose parents would leave their daughter alone and overnight after kicking out this obviously evil predator? There had to be a way to make it more understated that this man was going to do her harm & why would she want to be alone after the clues she found? It could have been written better. I did love the acting. It was worth a watch. 🍿
"It gets a little chilly at night" the beach/shore is the most amazing place to be when u want to get some good sleep. It does get chilly at night, that ocean air will put u down 😂 i love it.

I look for the spoiler alerts before I watch a movie 😂 I can watch the movie and still get into whatever leads up to the end. It's all the small details, from beginning to end that does it for me. I pay closer attention and analyze the characters and storyline through the whole movie, because the people that already know the ending can't even figure out what quite happened or why lol.

They make crazy stuff up, show the ways to do it, influence people's minds, and some people just play along by executing those crazy things in real life: The serial killer dressed as a Joker who shot many people in a movie theater some years ago, etc. It's VERY distressing. Movies & books should work for making people better, not the opposite.

The mom only "wised up" because she was jealous that her old fling was trying to move in on her daughter. Before that, she was singing his praises. Thank You for sharing a dramatic thriller movie. The cast of actors and actresses played their roles very well. The storyline was a bit of a slow build up until the end. SPOILER ALERT. I think. This clicked into place for me after sleeping on it. I was trying to figure who really killed Hanna and was trying to make it all fit together with Catherine being the killer bc she never really got over Paul. Now I think I get it T. No one killed Hanna. The box was filled with the props Used in the photo session Catherine did with Paul years ago where a woman was decapitated. I couldn't figure out the kettle bell until I realized it was nothing more than an object that fueled Emma's imagination. For us, it threw us off-kept us in line with Emma's thinking. Emma was the one with a truly dark mind, not Paul. With him, it was simply art. Maybe I'm just slow. Anyway, I quite enjoyed it, even though critics didn't seem to be too crazy about it all in all.

The only part that needed to be fixed in this movie, is the fact that she reads and writes without her glasses, while she wears them on the top of her head. lol Sad that the little girl doesn't realize he is old enough to be her Dad.
I think she said she uses them for distance. If she is old enough to drink, she is old enough to experiment. My parents are 17 years apart and were married until my Dad died. I get it though, I am just playing Devil's advocate.
Second time watching this movie, rediscovered ending. Think like I said before that "that thing" out from shore is called a breakwater to reduce size of waves coming to shore. At beaches people try to swim out to there and get tangled up in the seaweeds. Good Morning. Cautionary Tale. Always swim with a buddy, there is a legit term for that.

Anybody assume like i do that what Paul meant about "figuring out" was he likes to do kinda bdsm (sex and violence). Using fish net and chocking wasnt meant to kill his sex partner. But that's not Emma'assumption though, and stabbing in the middle of that activity. Finally Emma found the net still in the house, which mean there's nobody drown the sea using net and weight. But Emma gotta hide what she's done, and finally she herself got idea (from her imagination before) to drown Paul's body using the net. If that so, poor Paul.

The movie depicted a typical summer in the Hamptons. Food shopping, swimming, grilling and a lot of wine except for the murder. Fun to watch.

Anyone else think that it was crazy that she didn’t just use the obvious self defense as to why she stabbed him? I know it wasn’t the point… obviously. 😂 But the guy was indeed choking her. Irl that would be motive.. breaking in, strangling.. js
Anybody assume like i do that what Paul meant about "figuring out" was he likes to do kinda bdsm (sex and violence). Using fish net and chocking wasnt meant to kill his sex partner. But that's not Emma'assumption though, and stabbing in the middle of that activity. Finally Emma found the net still in the house, which mean there's nobody drown the sea using net and weight. But Emma gotta hide what she's done, and finally she herself got idea (from her imagination before) to drown Paul's body using the net.
If that so, poor Paul.
