Thanks for the ride. I enjoyed that. Gave me a good appreciation of the size of the Oshkosh event and the amount of work that must go into organising it. Cheers from Melbourne, OZ. 👍
I didn't get to go, but I'm a trucker local to the area and run up and down 41 all the time. I saw you guys running the heli pattern and I thought it was a company doing sightseeing patterns for patrons. Thanks for the ride along!
Well you are correct in both concepts! There is a constant flow of helicopters from more out of the north end of the field, and then we're at the south end of the field between1130 and 1430 in the afternoon. Good chance you could have seen me!
@@captianhardy good to know. I hope to actually attend some day for the air show, but I've been on the field before. I participate in a yearly charity convoy for Special Olympics, and EAA is gracious enough to host the gathering at the end. Not everyday you see a couple hundred semi's driving around an airport! Lol
I just want to experience Oshkosh once.. I’m getting old and falling apart. Since my navy dad taught me about aviation, it’s been my dream but it’s fading. The best I can do is rc aircraft and kind of lost interest… then I fly a lot on all the simulators on pc… still wish I could go up and fly or visit somewhere.. did a couple of times in military…. I would drive to Oshkosh but don’t know if I would survive the roads… and funny I always forget about it every year then see the videos pop up saying videos from now 2022 of Oshkosh… then I smack my head.. I’m stuck in PNW which if I had a license or buddy is a beautiful place to fly over, that’s where all my flight hours in Cessnas on MSFS is spent. Anyhow thanks for the video and view from above!
I can sure understand the dreams. Don't give up on them, and you'd be surprised how many accommodations there are to handle us folks getting, or feeling on the frail side. I had one transport me twice today. More flying tomorrow! Thanks for the note!
@@captianhardy No sir, I apologize. There was a Yellow "Army" "Airborne" airship listed at an airport near you and I thought you snatched it up. I was also army airborne and it was priced right but the day after it was listed it was gone. I love all your content and can't wait to join you guys in the sky!
Kind of a funny concept. I'd rather swing a bit wide over the aircraft, for not only runway alignment, but also I'm not directly descending over the heads of many pedestrians! Just the rules we have to live by here!
@@captianhardy I believe they want to keep Ultralight Field traffic well separated from the often heavy traffic on RW18/36. Great video, I want to be there again some day!
Ok BI AL? (big deal?) Sorry, couldn't even find that in the text abbreviations lists. People were wanting to pay for rides!!! In something I built! Thanks for watching!

they don't call it "world's busiest air traffic control tower" for nothing
See you at Oshkosh again, hope you enjoy

@@captianhardy thanks for the reply, stay safe and have fun!
The algorithm brought me here. Guess there's a lot of Oshkosh coverage feeding in.
Thanks for the info!
tis the season
nice! haven't seen anyone land on that field b4
we've been given access to that field for some time. restricted to experimental 2 seaters. too tight for something big that can blow us around
I wanted that ship! You bought that quick!
I bought the kit about 4 years ago! It's always been mine. still thinking about the same ship?

Like . How much one of this helicopter?
Nice look around the airfield. No flying over aircraft: ever?
