  • DePaul vs Cincinnati 2nd round 1990 NIT.
This won't be everyone's favorite video because it's just a manager in the rafters of DePaul's Hall filming this 2nd round NIT game. It must not have been televised. A very long view of the court, no commentators, no way to see the score, but a good feel of being in the crowd for the game.
DePaul beat Creighton in the first round and then had this exciting 2nd round game against the Bearcats. For the 2nd time this season, Stephen Howard puts back a Chuckie Murphy airball with 1 second left on the clock gave the Blue Demons a win, this time 61-59 (the other time it happened with a dunk at Notre Dame a few weeks prior, 63-62). David Booth with 18 points, Kevin Holland with 15, and Stephen Howard with 13 to lead DePaul. DePaul saved its 44-game win streak at Alumni Hall with the last second victory. This was Bob Huggins first season with the Bearcats. Andre Tate had 17 points, Levertis Robinson with 16, and Louis Banks with 15 to lead Cincinnati.

And to think, just a couple years later, they would be in the same conference (Great Midwest, later known as Conference USA).....
