Just to make sure I understand, could you say that all fukyo forward pressure is technically fake? Outside of OTG 6H or 2S situations, Nago can never fukyo forward for free?
@@JpegDog well, not quite. if you're reacting to nago disappearing and he does fukyo back > 2S/6H, you could get blown up. however, thats only if he canceled 5H/6H/2H into the fukyo back, since that leaves him at +2. otherwise, even fukyo back will be negative, so your 5P/2P/2K will recover before he can smack you
The funniest part is I've seen low tier players fight Nago better than some high tiers because they are just forced to making the correct/optimal solution in order to even have a chance
Low tiers in general are more reliant on a good understanding of the game and solid mechanics since they don't have much else going for them, so low tiers usually have a better understanding of what's happening compared to their high tier counterparts at the same elo
@@Kdog-od2xr I just meant when you're char is so high tier that an even matchup is your worst matchup. Like H.C. is probably another 'bad' matchup for ram but really it just means that she can't just go ham and totally ignore the opponent's options.
Before I watch the video here's things I've come to understand why I lose: 1. Guessing wrong 2. Getting hit by random 2S, Beyblade and clone too much 3. Not being patient, rushing in and basically helping Nago getting my previously mentioned points. If I get the health lead on roundstart I can play around these 3 points at some degree. Avoid situations that forces me to guess, avoid clone and Beyblade by jumping and playing around Nago whiffing things. The only times I lose the lead is when I'm trying to counterpoke his 2S and he does something else or I messed up.
So I understand that you are great at this game, and you can afford to enrich scrubland, but why you gotta do the rest of us Nago players dirty like this? Don't tell them the secrets! Now imma get stuffed by someone who watched your video! 😆 EDIT: so that I don't get more people trying to coach me in YT comments, this is a joke. I thought the emoji would make that clear, sorry for any confusion.
The funny thing is that people on low floors don't really have the first issue since they will just mash the heck out of you They're not doing it with a gameplan obv, but it's interesting
Depends who uou play but I'll use Giovanna as my example since I play her. Usually if I'm really unsure of my opponents moves I'll instantly back dash or just play it extra safe and block low. If however I know they're gonna do an option, usually I would use 2D to stuff out 5K and 2HS since it easily low profiles those, 5HS to beat 2S since I win on frames, and usually just walk back and whiff punish if I see DP coming. For Beyblade I haven't found an exact punish yet but usually I just neutral jump or 5HS for a hard call out

@@ojamison8460 gios 5H actually beats the DP as well at roundstart. But it loses to 5K, the risk reward is in nagos favor on pretty much all round starts though, I main Gio and my go to roundstarts in the MU are backwalk and backdash, that way you force nago to start picking more greedy roundstarts if he wants pressure and then and only then do I start counterpoking at roundstart lol
When I look at Dustloop for Nagoriyuki it says fukyo forward is 1-25F Above Chest. Why is it saying 25F if its 28F and what the fuck does "above chest" even mean?
Some moves in this game have upper body invincibility, all the 6P’s have this property. If you click on a moves hurtbox tab in Dustloop, you will see a blue, red and yellow box on each part of the move. Those are the hurtbox, hitbox and throwbox respectively. Fukyo is upper body invincible meaning above Nago’s chest, it has all hitbox and no hurtbox. This means you can’t beat it with certain moves but you can beat it with low attacks.
The cancel happens on frame 14. If you Fukyo back, that's a 16f recovery before you can act and you spent a whole bar of blood to go nowhere and do nothing for 30f total.
clone>fukyo is a big commitment you have to think about that and play around that nago's can't afford to clone>fukyo all the times also the clone has to come before the fukyo so you see clone>respect you don't>answer.
It's not, use a fast low recovery button on reaction to the animation so that you won't get whiff punished if he does back fukyo instead. I do it with gio's 5P all of the time for very little risk.

Ram mains when they don't have at least a 7-3 matchup against you:
Reason 1: I’m bad
Reason 2: My opponent is better than me

Reason 2 doesn't exist. They're just using a broken character :)

reason 1: they listen to ULTRAKILL ost
Hotashi's nago is so fun to watch, it's like eyemusician with yoshimitsu.
As both a Yoshi main and Nago main, YES.
Really cool video. Love a counter-play tutorial that also includes what they will do to round things out when they adapt to your counterplay
Thank you for the vid Hotashi. Much love dood!
every time i stumble across ultrakill music in a video completely unrelated to ultrakill i feel like im getting whiplash
As a chaos main once you’re in the corner against nago it’s a fight to not drop the soap…
These are my favorite vids of yours.
The solution to every problem in GG: PRESS BUTTONS
My man out there assuming Ram players have braincells.
Please note who the video is about before you make fun of braincells
Super dig the ULTRAKILL music that shit is tight
that ultrakill soundtrack tho
good stuff
What music is being played when Ram is fighting Nago, I almost recognize that beat.
It’s from Ultra kill’s ost

how'd he blood rage at 1:28 he landed the super which to my knowledge STOPS blood gain.
It doesn't stop it like command grab, its a gradual decrease which means it doesn't override the amount of blood he spent in the first place.
it doesnt stop it, it decreases it by a large amount, then another chunk over six seconds
Aye hotashi. Did you know that you can delay nagos transformation?
As a chipp main, I do surprisingly well against nago.
I play Faust so fighting nago really isn’t that bad
7:48 well this aged poorly
So I'm wondering what a good round start v nago would be, cuz I'll be honest I'm always going to jump block
From what I've seen just holding back walks you out the way of the big scary DP but if Nago catches on they will play spicy rock, paper, scissors
