The Best Secrets are Hidden in Books | Reading Motivation

I've been thinking about how the best secrets in often hidden in books. There have been so many generations of people that have lived before us and they've left behind so much wisdom or thought to life's daily problems. It makes sense to tap into that experience by reading what they've left behind. I really think the best way to keep a secret is to publish it in a book.

I think a main reason everyone has to search for "the meaning of life" is because there is not a meaning to life. There is only our meaning we find. i think everyone has to find there own meaning.

Thanks for the comment. I agree that everyone has to find their own meaning, but I do believe we are searching for very similar things, whether it's to live a life that has meaning or impacts people, etc.

There is so much truth to that. However, I think it is more than just looking into books. It is also adapting and using what you learn from the books. I do believe that every piece we read leaves its mark on us but so many people are not acknowledging that at all. And of course realizing that you maybe are where you are supposed to be at this moment in time and be content with that is hard.

Thanks for the perspective. I agree that we have to use what we learn or experience from books and apply it to our lives. Maybe that's part of why people like talking about books. Through discourse, we are able to navigate our ideas and bounce them off others.
