I love your Florida kayak videos. The best place for exploration in some calm back water. Just not fond of sharks lol, I'm sure you agree with what I have seen.
The only place the sharks worried me was near Bahia Honda Bridge. Really big aggressive bulls. Mostly lemons and blacktips where I normally fish, but there are some nasty ones too.
Do you ever tie on a bite leader? Sometimes when I am concerned with getting bit off for the line weight I have spooled, I uni-to-uni a short section of heavier mono (6-8") to my flouro. I prefer flouro but the mono seems to hold up better for abraision resistance and being a little stiffer than fouro it has added benefit to resist getting snagging hook when using erratic baits or in wind.
I don't because I'm also targeting redfish, and I don't want to go heavier than 30 for those. I normally use 40 for snook and do OK, although I change leaders frequently.
If on Long Island, the Autopilot because I need spotlock for tog and drift control for fluke. In Florida I mostly want the ePDL for how I used it in this video.
the sigh at 28:43 was so real lol. Dolphins and loud music. "yea im outta here"
great fun out there! nice work
You get so many beautiful sunrises like that one lifetime
Great trip john looked like a blast. Nice size trout. Thanks for sharing.

John. What’s the main line to leader knot that you are using? Can’t wait to be back in SW FL in Feb. Love your videos!!!

Some of those catches looked strikingly similiar to Weakfish
What Bob Ross was to painting, you are to fishing!
Of the three kayaks you fish if only could fish one which one would you pick?

Eagle was on top of the pole. Pterodactyls, AKA Pelicans, were in the mangroves.
What was that John ?
You mean the Dolphin?
you don't worry in the back canals for gators? I was down at my parents in Cape Coral and some locals had me shook. were they overreacting
Day 5 of asking to fish with you when you are back in Long Island
