Gundam says beam saber
This line has certainly come a long way from the appalling MPG-01. This guy has some wacky proportions but aside from that seems pretty good, easily the best of the set. The engineering for those chest sections on sliders is a really cool effect
After seeing emgo with the saber I want him to do a Gundam so I can see his reaction to beam sabers. It'll be great for emgo builds stuff!
Ok this is funny as heck but I swear the front of the train looks like a face off of one of the animated transformers😂
I guess they put the Autobot symbols on his hands to make him not predictable and is a toy reference maybe

I'm guessing you not going to get the 2 alternate members then? I do have to agree that Kaen seems to be the best of the base members looking forward to seeing how Masterpieces first combiner looks tomorrow.

Obviously they might’ve made these so they could make version 2.0 with the long life design sticker on boxes only time will tell. honestly I can’t believe that MP-44 is $850 right now twice what he was originally pricing is supposed to go down every time they do re-stocks on the mold right? They did for other masterpieces

i say Kaen contribute to the combine mode even less than Long Haul , atleast Long Haul form a short pant and waist of Devastator while Kaen is just form...a tiny speedo that barely visible in combine mode while the rest of him is just junks in the trunk
I get they wanted to make these ox scale, but it seems so weird compared to other masterpiece figures. I am not too concerned in general with alt mode scaling, but this could have been a little bigger and maybe baked a little longer.
Moon studios definitely has its drawbacks too. I just think they could have done better and should have done better with this.
I am ok with the Takara trainbots. Are they a bit small for a Combiner? Yes, but I understand the reason being that Takara was sticking to HO train scale and the primary audience was for the Japan market and not western markets. To me the MS Raiden set is simply too big and rivals the size of Metroplex, which to me is a turn off also. Now, if future Master Piece combiners are going to be this small like Raiden, I will have an issue with that. I think 16 inch combiners are the sweet spot, at least for me. In terms of visual design, I prefer Takara Raiden over the simplistic design cues of MS. Can’t wait to see Emgo transform this set into combiner form. I’ve seen some terrible transformation videos that are nothing more than propaganda hit jobs against Takara. I have also seen some Japanese videos showing the combined transformation being sturdy. Let’s see Emgo’s take on Takara’s combiner transformation!

Was feeling satisfied with MS versions, but just a little thing they gave him a lightsaber has piqued my interest
I never really understood the idea of being a TRAIN transformer. As a car you can at least go off-road and all, but a train? You're stuck to the rails. Train wheels get no traction on streets, or worse, off-road.

Is it pronounced "Kai-En" (like kayak but ending in -en), or "Kay-En"? I've always said the latter.
The original toy commercial pronounces it like the former, so I go with that

Because it’s a good figure? Idk, the combined mode may suck, but both the robot and the train modes are pretty good.

The individual modes are fine although pricy for what it is. Still think they scale better with chug than masterpiece scaled
