Back in 2003, hearing the George Bush words at the beginning of a song criticizing his war politics was very rebel back then, and "The God Bless America" at the end was so awesome.
Just hearing that sample of the National Anthem brings me back to when I was six years old playing this on the GameCube. Without a doubt my favorite soundtrack of all time!
it always creeped me out as a kid especially the beeping and i could def imagine hearing it in my dreams and waking up at 5am screaming but its even creepier as an adult with all the conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11 and bush
I HATED how they censored the version in NFSU2, also for those who don't know, this version of the song is actually "Psalm 23" from the album "Houses Of The Mole (2004)" by Ministry
Not really, in fact it's a hidden track on the original pressing of Houses of the Mole, called Psalm 23, they just cut out part of the intro until Bush starts talking so people didn't get bored fast.
[Verse 1] If this is really living Then why am I so unforgiving Half the world is down the toilet Half is on its way Well if I had a dollar for Every time he hollers: "Trust us with your hearts and minds" Or I'll make you pay [Chorus] Trust, trust, trust me Trust, trust, trust me [Verse 2] Ask me why you're feeling screwed And I'll give you an answer There's a Colin, Dick and Bush Just a-hammerin' away Ask me why you feel deceived And stripped of all your liberties It doesn't take a genius To explain that today [Chorus] Trust, trust, trust me Trust, trust, trust me
I stopped listening to ministry after psalm 69 but some of their later stuff is damn good. Do yourself a favour and listen to the 2 episodes the heavy with Andrew and Don did about ministry and al jourgensen
Mine started like 2003 or 2004 with the Burning Inside video. There was a mainstream metal program called Junkie TV which played lots of industrial metal and nu metal kind of stuff, the VJ, Lauretto always dressed like Uncle Al with the cowboy hat and the shades.
When you realize that this was in two games, both named Underground 2....
NFS cut out the intro though.
Lmao i was thinking the same
:-0
@@SoheiJayce Because It’s the regular. This is No W Redux
@@SoheiJayce The original intro was O Fortuna, this game seems to be the only instance of Star Spangled Banner.

This song is such a relic of the early 2000s
That makes it greater in my opinion

"Games are too political now"
Tony Hawk in 2004:
Shut up
Wasnt political just had political music
I rather hear this version than the one on the official video. This one has that awesome solo!
I extremely agree.
I still prefer the original O Fortuna versión

which version of the national anthem is that?

Beautiful times 💜
By far the coolest song and the coolest version of this song
The intro with the star spangled banner singing for a couple seconds used to give me nightmares as a kid. It’s so haunting sounding
Oh definitely that intro always stuck with me.
it always creeped me out as a kid especially the beeping and i could def imagine hearing it in my dreams and waking up at 5am screaming but its even creepier as an adult with all the conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11 and bush
The intro gives me such a nostalgic feeling.. its warming
This version came from Rock Against Bush Vol. 1 CD (released just months before the game came out.)
I HATED how they censored the version in NFSU2, also for those who don't know, this version of the song is actually "Psalm 23" from the album "Houses Of The Mole (2004)" by Ministry
Man thug 2 and need for speed underground 2 were my favourite childhood video games
Ministry + Shrek + COD + True Crime + Kickflipping = This Game!
The goddamn airport...
first level I thought of when I heard this, holy shit
I thought of the school level
Dude same
Casino 😂
I thought the nfsu2 airport lol
Not only did I remember this from THUG 2, but also NFSU 2 xD
I think it fits much better on Need For Speed Underground 2. It's more of a song to drive fast to rather than to skate to.
Need Tony For Hawk Speed underground 2
Both games called undeground 2
Haha this was also in Need For Speed Uuunderground 2
+Razor Callahan yes this song is in Underground 2 too
+Alex Botkin (Psyguy08) EA's older games got some pretty kickass soundtrack, this and especially most wanted

The intro used to scare me playing TH: Underground 2 but it doesn't now, song is badass lol
I'm sure bush scares a lot of people
Brandon Michaels bush and that welsh guy Tony bear are war criminals
Right? It sounds so fucking creepy. I went through the entire soundtrack just because the intro noise before bush talking has always stuck with me.
Fr I used to think we were gonna burn up like in Terminator 2 Judgment Day
2:49 to the end... MINDBLOWN, LIKE THE CAT.
Thank You, Goodnight, *GOD BLESS AMERICA*
Merica
I love ministry and never noticed this was the first song I ever heard of theirs
I seriously prefer this version of this song with that George W intro much better than the 'O Fortuna intro
love drifting to this shit, lmao wrong game
Wow! this was ministry? use to remember that intro all the time as a kid.
When the song gets going with the temp I'm usually on a rail at that point
Driving in Bayview with an Evo 8 GSR or GDB-D WRX STI.
I've been looking for this song, for soooooo long. It reminds me of the 1st level
When you use a car in a skateboard game

It's weird because this game came out 16 years ago but I remember the first time I played it like it was yesterday
This game & video are some of the only ways to hear this version of this song
NFS UNDERGROUND 2 Had Their Best Soundtrack
ministry is just awesome
Seems like this is the only instance where this specific version was released.
Not really, in fact it's a hidden track on the original pressing of Houses of the Mole, called Psalm 23, they just cut out part of the intro until Bush starts talking so people didn't get bored fast.
Fuck all these THUG 2 songs taking me back to my childhood 😈 \m/ Best game back in the day
New Zealand song ! :D
[Verse 1]
If this is really living
Then why am I so unforgiving
Half the world is down the toilet
Half is on its way
Well if I had a dollar for
Every time he hollers:
"Trust us with your hearts and minds"
Or I'll make you pay
[Chorus]
Trust, trust, trust me
Trust, trust, trust me
[Verse 2]
Ask me why you're feeling screwed
And I'll give you an answer
There's a Colin, Dick and Bush
Just a-hammerin' away
Ask me why you feel deceived
And stripped of all your liberties
It doesn't take a genius
To explain that today
[Chorus]
Trust, trust, trust me
Trust, trust, trust me

I always think of playing as Jesse James on that jacked up scooter in Boston when I hear this song.
What version is this? You cant beat this intro.
does anyone know which speech from Bush the beginning was taken from
I believe its the war declaration speech he made at ground zero a few days after 9/11.
