i remember being told Mario Maker’s creation was inspired by them having fun with their own level build tool so perhaps some of these and the plethora of Mario Wii content are remnants of said fun, when they have nothing to do they just make levels
The moon coins were meant to be nothing more than a stylistic variation of the star coins which I actually thought was a pretty good move on Nintendo's part. It's cool to have star coin variants.
Speaking of unused content, On this game they did reuse a few unused concepts that were meant for nsmb wii...like world 2 on wii was supposed to feature a ghost house, world 3 was supposed to be the beach world and world 4 the snow world, the mega mushroom. (World 5-6 from NSMB 2 looks like a Lost level of world 6 from NSMB WII...originally world 6 on wii was supposed to have another level.) etc.
When you realize that all of this is just whats left of someone who got paid to do Mario Maker style levels a decade ago for NSMB2🗿🗿 7:52 *Imagine paying for this in a post 2008 world💀💀 15:34 Ah hell nah this is clearly just Jermas Lair under his house in Las Vegas?? Didnt know he was involved with the development of NSMB2 while being a streamer?? Crazy world huh😪😪
very very late to this, but i suspect the moon coins were meant to be an alternative to star coins so that world star could have collectibles without actually counting toward your star coin total (like they do in the final) maybe they needed to come up with something to put an extra star on a complete save file and that's all they could come up with?

Damn, this cutting room's got a real big floor...
Hey! Will you release these levels or nah?
why is this on parallelskawo now
Because Nintendo blocked it on the main channel.
@@Skawo Wow💀💀
@@Skawo I thought I had already seen this a long time ago.
the nsmb2 elevator gimmick is kinda lame. could’ve been improved with lifts that move in a specific direction
