Just a hint I got in Canaries; when possible give a tip to a hand. If you tip to a jar or leave it on a table it could end up in a pocket of a place owner.
This is my first all inclusive vacation. And first trip to Mexico. Since cruising isn't happening for a while. Thank you for the video, it will be very helpful in a few weeks.
I always tip at a resort. It depends on what for but I also leave a tip for the cleaning staff. I probably over tip but that’s because I was a waitress when I was younger :)
Excellent info. If you plan to sit in the same area, I like to tip big at the start. But even if you dont tip in Mexico the service will always be great.
We just spent almost 8 thousand for a one week all inclusive to the Dominican Republic coming from Canada! However we have direct flights & a 5 star resort we plan on taking a 1000 candian & transferring it too pesos for tips!! Do you think this is to much or not enough!! It equals out to be 44 thousand pesos
I plan to visit Mexico for the first time next year from the UK. Thanks for the info. Mostly in Europe you don't tip at all inclusive hotels so this might be interesting.
Never been to an all inclusive resort before so trying to find out what’s the etiquette, for tipping in Mexico as we’re coming from UK where tipping isn’t the norm, so fingers crossed I get it right
We've been to about a dozen all inclusive (at least 4 star) resorts, (Cuba, Dominican, Jamaica etc) for the last 15 years. We've found that 15 years ago they appreciated it much more than they do now. Servers, have actually waited beside my wife and I for 5 minutes waiting for another tip for the second cup of coffee we requested. Some have actually asked for a tip. We generally tip $70.00 US per week and sometimes it doesn't seem like enough as some expect more. I've also found that I've tipped to get better service in a 4.5 star resort in the DR.
Thank you for your comment! It's always good to hear what others leave for gratuities and their experiences with tipping at the different resorts and destinations they have visited. I've been to the Dominican Republic recently and didn't have the issue of getting a different service level at the resort if my wallet wasn't out. Thanks for watching!
Awesome advice with leaving a note for the worker plus the extra tip. Preferably in Spanish, google translation for Me encantas Dos Equis XX…I love Dos xxs
How much do you tip at an all-inclusive resort? Let me know in the comments!

Why aren’t hotels paying more to the staff especially when they charge $500usd a night??

Why you don't tip in Europe?
@@D-Ogi WE dont have enough money basically
I agree with tour amounts. Thabk you for this informative video this was very helpful. Do Mexican workers also appreciate gifts as in Cuba?

Yes you should TIP! Do you technically have to? No, but you’ll probably look like a cheapo. Tip and you’ll get treated like a King! 👑
Thank you for watching!
Tipping right away should get you better service. Maybe tip when you arrive to the beach. They will make sure you are well taken care of.
i would love to know the suggestion for tipping a butler at an all-inclusive
I don't tip whatsoever. I am a notorious cheapskate.

We all should tip more especially nowadays with the pandemic that affects all walks of life. Thank you for the video.
Absolutely!
