As a 7 years old boy who was a huge fan of the first movie, I waited months for the movie, the first day I went to see the movie in the cinema. But I was so scared during the cube scene that I told my mom and dad I wanted to go out within 10 minutes, and I couldn't watch this movie until I was 12. It was a big disappointment for me.

Man, now that I look like it this movie has *a lot* of potential to be an actual masterpiece of a spy movie, and this scene shows a lot of quite dark potential it had. It actually featuring an *on-screen death* of one of the good guys, especially such a gruesome one, is pretty insane. Also, we were ACTUALLY introduced to the character that died, unlike the car shown as a compressed cube in the beginning of the full movie. Also, a spy chase sequence set in Prague just sounds very cool, the tight and charming old city streets of it make for a pretty enjoying chase all around, and even this proof of concept sketch animation looks decent.
It should've been some kind of a more mature spinoff? Idk how to word it but yeah you get the point... people would have been A LOT more accepting of this movie that way. This is def not "Cars 2"

It made me feel like this was a movie "for the adults" and kept me on the edge of seat waiting for the plot to develop. I'm noticing a pattern with a lot of delete scenes in animated kid movies. They're dark as hell compare to the final product. Like how Steel from Balto suffocates in a coal pit and how Lightning McQueen from Cars loses his body in a dream.
I mean... is the limit for G one onscreen named-character death? Because Rod Redline dies brutally and McQueen is in mortal peril for a pretty long scene

At first when I was as kid, and I see that agent Finn found Agent Lelond, at first, when I first see that movie, I thought it was a block of candy instead of seeing agent Lelond, I remembered those scenes

Cars 2 is one of the cars movies that has a LOT of cars that died : the blue American agent, Lelend turbo, all the terrorist cars in that scene where gun mcmissle exploded all the barrels in the spiral, those few cars at Japan and almost lightning McQueen, Mater and the Allinol guy

When I saw him in the cube form in the movie, I couldn't understand what that was. 13 years later, I only discovered now it was him after discovering this horrifying scene that got deleted (thank god), I will never be able to watch that scene the same way again..

It took me 7 years after seeing cars 2 to even realize what had happened to Agent Turbo in the final film.
Still not worse than the actual scene of the agent car catching on fire and blowing up in his death
Rod and Healey’s death are both brutal, Healey’s is actually worse since he literally gets crushed into a cube. That’s more pain than Rod’s death. Rod had a quick death than Healey
@@Someone33390 not really, you can tell Rod was hurting by the face he was making during the demonstration. It was only until the professor used the max power that he exploded.
They both sound terrible to me. Imagine being slowly crushed in a meat grinder and getting cooked alive by a microwave weapon

Even the bad guy in the deleted scene was a Tucker Torpedo, the forgotten futuristic classic. 😱

The plot for Cars 2 is great. Maybe if we wouldn't have complained about it, we would have gained this scrapped character and agent to be the next villain of Cars 3 instead of some cr@p.

I read in the reviews about the G rating since it was one of the things criticized and I agree with people that Cars 2 should've received a PG rating because the amount of violence and rude humor exceeds the G rating limits
If Zil design is 117(short wheel base) that could be more badass as villain
