But we can't cheer for someone doing that. Unnecessarily dangerous in an already dangerous game. I think ejection and one game.
Its not against the rules to fake going out of bounds. WR and RB do it all the time. As a defender its up to you to make sure the player is still 100% in bounds before you light them up. If theyre out of bounds youre getting flagged. Its called spacial awareness..just like WRs having to know where their feet are during a sideline catch to remain in bounds.

@@SteelCourage Has nothing to do with justifying dirty hit. - If his name was DTR (Dorian Thompson Robinson), nobody would give a xhit about the hit. - If his name was Sam Howell, nobody would give a xhit about the hit.
It sucks because you have incidents where Mahomes tip toes the sidelines and gets an extra 5 to 10 yards and complains when someone hits him. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. The defenders job is to stop you from getting extra yards, and QB’s have been abusing the protection they get from the league for some time now. You already can’t hit them in the pocket without the likelihood of a penalty happening. If a QB runs, they’re a runner and need to learn how to protect themselves
Or when Brady gets tapped on the helmet and they call roughing the passer? You people slow bro, and if that single play by mahomes is your only point? Yall just talking to talk, you can’t even go back 15 years of the game with players doing that, FOH
Lol, another Texans fan that thinks a leaping forearm to the face is acceptable retribution for scratching a few yards. Hello, they all bend the rules! How do you not know that? 😂
Because it has nothing to do with this play? Trevor was clearly sliding; it wasn't a late slide, a fake slide, etc. It's not relevant to this play and it's dishonest to equivocate the two
Take the sliding away. Once you're past the line of scrimmage, you can't be protected. If you want to protect yourself as a qb, then you can dive, which is much safer IMO
They should just do away with sliding. It puts both the quarterback and defender in a bad position. So if you gonna run take the hit or throw the ball away.
Yes I know. I'm saying you throw an incomplete pass or throw it out of bounds or try to run in which you get hit like the rest of the nfl. But sliding should be banned. It causes more harm than good.
If the rules of defense deem that I have to tackle you in the chest and you slide late putting your head at chest level, do you know what you get? A vicious hit to the head of a defenseless player that it didn't need to be. Slide earlier or take the hit. This hit specifically was bad but the conversation itself was valid. Which you would have heard if it sounded like you watched more than 10 secs of the video
@ he didn’t slide late lol the defender knowingly went for the head area and he lead with his forearm that had the brace on it so let’s stop making excuses for a dirty hit .
@ I watch football since 1982 lol 😂 and that was a dirty hit you wanna make excuses for by bringing up BS like fake sliding when it’s simple guy led with his forearm brace and launched at his head when he could have made a simple chest tackle so facts are facts .
@SteelCourage if you have truly watch football that long then you would know defenders tackle like that in every game. Forearm and shoulder tackles don't make a hit malicious. It's easy to dissect it in slow motion after the fact. In real time both guys were moving at full speed to either get or prevent a 1st down. Trevor could have slid sooner but chose to push it for a reason. You want to say he led with the forearm and brace but I guarantee he isn't thinking about that in the moment. His only concern is preventing the 1st down and a chest tackle takes longer.
The Josh Allen one annoys me. He clearly does a juke. It wasn't like the defender stopped, he just did what happens when most db's try tackling Allen and got shrugged off.
there may be a rule to QB sliding but if enough QBs fake slide then defenders will not adhere to rule since they will be fired for being ineffective at stopping the run
I just saw today that Trevor was sliding for the first down marker. You shouldn't slide in that situation because you're leaving yourself open to the possibility of a dirty hit. It's also up to the QB to protect himself here and slide early enough. If you decide to go for the first down, then you have to just run and put your shoulder down and take a hit like a football player.
Mahomes and Allen know that they have that bias, Caleb Williams tried it and Dan Campbell told his guys that if he isn't going out or sliding, to HIT him. Plain and simple, you get out the pocket, you get hit.
I was going to say this. On the St. Browns brothers podcast. Amon-Ra said exactly that. Because Caleb tends to act like he's running out of bounds, and then stay on the field of play. Dan Campbell stated just that. And D.C. also told the refs before the game, what was going to happen. Amon- Ra had me laughing as he described it to his brother, when he saw that Jack Campbell hit on Caleb.
Make a rule fake sliding and fake going out of bounds results in 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty. Late sliding should not have defender penalized. Implement two step rule like late hit on QBs. If defender hits QB within 2 steps its fair game
110% agree that this is a consistency issue. He should have had 1 or 2 games. If a hit to the head and KO concussion is 3 weeks, then it is 3 weeks for every occurrence. Star QB or backup special teams.
You can’t say that when the dude has been fined over 7 times for Late and dirty hits, you can miss me with the “it’s too harsh” cuz after 7 warnings it’s clear dude jus doesn’t get it 😂😂
I just wish ppl would just say they don’t like TLaw. Because let it be Mahomes, Burrow, Jackson, Allen, Herbert, Tua, Love, or any other QB these media outlets fawn over. They’d have different takes. It’s clear TLaw was sliding, so miss me with “it’s a bang/bang play”, “what is the defender supposed to do?” Azeez had clear intent and he’s a repeat offender for blatant cheap shots.
@kdubbss0583 That same player (Al-Shaair) made a similar dirty play on Caleb Williams back in Week 2 with a late hit out of bounds. And then when Bears players proceeded to confront him for it, he hauled off and punched a Bears player in the face who was standing on the sideline and had nothing to do with nothing and wasnt even involved in any of it. Guess what the refs did ? Looked the other way. No flag on the late hit, no flag on the unprovoked punch to the face. This dickheads karma has been way overdue and I'm glad he's finally getting it one way or another
he’s not a blatant offender, even that is misleading. there have been stories all year about players getting fined for routine penalties. look at azeez’s list and you’ll see one on there was for a facemask. i’m sorry that shouldn’t count against him. if getting a facemask counts towards your “record” then half the league has an extensive record and needs a longer suspension if they do something. its just dumb. the chicago thing earlier this year? the hit on caleb was fair he didn’t get out of bounds, the punch after? yeah he should have got a game. that’s one event. the rest on there are all for penalties the NFL randomly started fining for. there have been running backs getting fined for hitting defenders this year. when do they get suspended?
@@pluginpandawhat about grabbing Brady by the throat in ‘22? Moreover, even if you believe his list of infractions are bang/bang plays, the fact he’s been warned MULTIPLE times to clean up the behavior? And he still didn’t.
Any player that leads the hit with the elbow to the head is intentionally premeditating an injury and should be held accountable, including being charged criminally.
Basic rule for the Defensive Players...Dont go for the Legs/Knees...Dont go for the Head. You can literally end a players career, with such a hit. Its really not that complicated. Azeez Al-Shaair looked like he was trying to decapitate Trevor Lawrence. The suspension was justified. Period.
That makes no sense the game is played at a high speed. Some guys can’t be tackled unless you go for their knees/legs(Derrick Henry). So the defense is supposed to let the offense score to protect them???
How about we put flags around the waist ? If you ever played the game the things you are saying is harder than it seems . Trevor Lawrence is 6’4 210+ . I wanna see you tackle him in a safe way .
Just make it so runners have to slide earlier or make it penalty for a late slide. At some point we have to put more blame on the runner instead of totally on the defensive player
3 game suspension for that is crazy to me. I didn't know about his prior offenses but I agree with dude in the blue jacket, he should have definitely been suspended for some of them and definitely that punch thrown in that Bears game.
I’m a defensive guy my job is to hit the Qb.. All that sliding late and fake sliding and even fake running out of bounds to give yourself up has to be stopped cause idk any 4.3-4.5 runner or even an 300 plus pound lineman that can stop on a dime
Hate seeing guys get injured but, When the QB slides that late what are you supposed to do? Late hits, facemasks, roughing the passer are penalties that have been in the game forever. those things happen. The whole qb slide thing is way more than that. How is a defender supposed to know when a qb is sliding or not if they wait until the defender is running full speed? genuine question I mean no harm. Im not a "real" football player but I played in my youth. even then its hard to pull back from a tackle. you are taught to run thru the opposition not hold back. So IDK man. It looked to me that he really wanted the first down then last second decided to slide. I could be very very wrong here as well too.

I'm all for rules being implemented to protect the players BUT in a lot of these instances...the defensive player is watching the offensive player initiate the slide and they still keep coming to hit the player. As a defensive player you can see the other player dropping to the floor and pressing the eject button.
According to Texans fans commenting here, a illegal forearm to the face is legal retribution for someone trying to scratch a couple more yards. Which makes sense when Texans players have never, and will never, bend a rule 😂
You're not smart. If you actually watch the film instead of being an emotional child, you'll see that he hit him in the shoulder first and then he slid up to his neck because that's how movement works. Don't be a girl or a child and this won't be so difficult to understand.
Josh Allen did this once and it was more of a stop start to change direction than fake slide. Josh Allen does a fake throw more on the run...that's it!
Most QBs don’t fake slide so it’s pretty ridiculous to me. Fake going out of bounds thing is more of a thing than fake sliding, even with the plays some claim are a fake slide it’s very arguable imo
If it was Vontaze Burfict nobody would be debating the dirty play. If it was Mahomes no one would debate the slide. It was a dirty play hands down. Sliding is a dumb thing but until the Tush Push is gone this will still be accepted.
You can use as much word salad as you want. But that Forarm shiver to the helmet was intentional and deliberate. It wasn't close to the sidelines. He wasn't trying to fake the defender out. The defensive player had a choice and he made it.
Al-Shaair on the field is putting other players health on the line when it isn’t necessary. He is irresponsible and dangerous. Off the field is completely irrelevant. Guy in white shirt was on point.
It's concerning that an NFL GM doesnt know that hit is illegal.. Its more concerning that he would act outraged when this player has had at least 7 fines/warnings for dirty play leading up to this incident.
YOu are missing what he is outraged for. His issue is consistency from teh league. As has been said, their are similar hits that were fined or suspended at all and the only reason he got hte harsh penalty is because of what happened to Lawrence. The penalties have to be consistent regardless of who made the hit and who got hit.
@@chriskay1449 That dirty hit will get flagged and fined every time. This guy has consistently got himself into trouble for his dirty play.. Very consistently!
@@JamesKennedy-t9h You are missing the point. When talking consistency we are talking consistency across the league. As I said it has been brought up that similar hits were not flagged or fined. The hit should be fined regardless of who the player is. NFL seems to pick and choose who gets fined for the hit and bases it on who you hit.
"We can't play defence any more." Incorrect. You can't play clumsy defence and needlessly injure a player because of being clumsy. This isn't tough, it's reckless and low-skill.
The qb sliding should have to protect themselves. The sliding right before you get hit is crazy kinda. It’s alot like in hockey when a player turns right before getting hit and creates a hitting from behind scene. Games to fast to stop on a dime
@Saberwolves84 I agree the timing of the slide was too late. I don't think Trey realized how fast he was coming. If a player is coming at you that fast a QB start running towards the sidelines and cut.
I don't buy the idea "You can't play defense anymore" The BEST defense in the NFL is the Philadelphia Eagles. And guess what? They are BULLIES. They hit hard, but they play smart. They aren't dirty. They are physical and they will out physical you. Its more of a lack of Defensive coaching talent in the NFL than the inability to play defense because of the rules...
I concur, I can't remember any of our players make an egregious or dirty hit over the last 5 yrs. Our players have made hard hits and great plays but rarely anything dirty. I can't speak for other cities but Philly has a great front office and the professional character flows down from the owner and GM. Houston clearly doesn't have this, how can they defend Al-Shaair?
Couldn’t agree more . Physical =doesn’t dangerous . What Azieez did was try and put a man in the hospital . That’s not skillful , physical , or good defense . It’s just bad .
@@chriskay1449 What? You mean tackle him? Get out of here you clown. There isn't a sane person out there that thought there was any intent to hurt him.
QBs need to be forced to slide sooner, many seem to invite the foul because 15 yards is huge in a close game. The hit was wrong but no running the ball 'to the edge' either.
the Azeez illegal tackle shows plenty of interesting things : - this type of hit has been before the time when freaking defensive players like Ray Lewis or Suggs played very very rough, to crush offensive players down. The NFL hadn't said anything for years before about this kind of tackle. Why is this a controversy now ? (I know mentalities and all sorts of things have changed) - the sliding rule for QB is a very concern. QBs like twist the rule but never break it. But on this perspective, if the QB has to be protected, his best and first protection comes from himself. You can't made thoses slides and when defensive players come legally or illegally hard on you, go complaining on referees to throw flag for penalties. It's your own responsibility if you push out the pocket and run for first down. -the statement of the NFL's vice president of policy & rules on Al-Shaair is very troubling. It sounds like treat players who go hard and made illegal hit or have unsportsmanlike conduct the villains against the NFL. Nick Caserio have a something right in pieces of his statement. It's unfair to paint a picture of Al-Shaair to turns him on villain based on multiple hits and not on personality, attitude and football skillset standpoints. -I love Jeff Saturday said about being rough on football field. These hits be part of the promotion of the NFL. they can't play f**kin flag football. This flag football is soft and sucks as f. Football is about plenty of things but not on cuddles or touching gently players. It's about playing tough and hard LEGALLY on the field with sense. Like the Eagles right now, be BULLIES
Not one of you can produce footage of Mahomes fake sliding.. Not even once!. As far as skirting the sideline to get a couple more yards..every WR and RB does it to, its part of the game. If they're still in bounds when you hit them you wont be flagged..if theyre even an inch out of bounds then its a penalty and its going to be called. Its up to defenders to have awareness of where they are on the field before they hit.
@@Tom-q6b Theyre treated differently in the pocket..the NFL has decided that for the safety of QBs..but once theyre a ball carrier that protection is removed. The very same hit would have been a penalty against a RB or WR that gives themselves up and slides. You may not like it but its the rules. So go wine to the NFL rules committee..not to me just because you dont understand the rules or dont agree with them
It looked to me that Lawrence started his slide after the defender was coming at him. It was more of a bang bang play. Lawrence was trying to use the slide rule to his advantage.
If you leave the pocket and are running in the open field in my opinion you are fair game. You are a QB. Not a running back. Should the QB be allowed to slide sure. Doesn’t mean you should get an special treatment. Then you can limit this kind of BS. Let the defense play defense. We remember all the great defenses of years gone by not bc they were nice, but because they were fearsome and you knew they were going to bring it.
Dude lead with his forearm. This is a non-story. He would not have been suspended if it was just about a late hit. Dude is a dirty player and threw a forearm at someone’s head.
The call out of Kuechly was great. I wish there was more of that conversation. Our favorite and probably best LBs probably have fine records that look insane. He defintely deserves a suspension but 3 feels excessive. I wonder if the league over-shot it knowing he'd appeal and then it comes down to a more reasonable suspension. We're talking about Azeez knowing that Trevor was sliding but where is the conversation about Trevor seeing Azeez coming in and not protecting himself? We see the viewpoint from behind Trevor and assume that Azeez had more time. Have we seen the viewpoint from behind Azeez to say maybe Trevor needed to slide earlier?
@tribadist He got suspended 3 games because this is stuff that he does REGULARLY but consistently gets away with it, and apparently the NFL was just fed up with it
Good guys off the field don't make egregious hits like that on the field. PERIOD. There have been lots of players that hit hard and made great plays (Ray Lewis, Brian Dawkins, etc.) but it'll be hard to find clips of them making the types of hits Azeez has repeatedly made. This guy has no respect for the game and for fellow players. And bad optics for the Texans GM defending this guy. It's refreshing the NFL had the backbone to call out the bad character of this player.
Days leading up to his suspension every analyst said he should be suspended. Now I hear complaining. QB's are protected, we know this. As a fan we do not want to see the star QB go down to a hit that could of been prevented.
Not defending the forearm...But Trevor Lawrence was running full steam ahead, completely upright. From the moment he showed signs of sliding to when the contact happened - less than 1 second. Ask the defenders that let up on Mahomes only to see him go past them.
Al-Shaair was already going low in the video so he KNEW Lawrence was already into his slide. Even if he was a running back going into the slide, Al-Shaair clearly was going for the head with his left forearm and right fist. It was a DIRTY play - period.
Nick Caserio is so full of sh't.. Anybody who knows football and has eyes can see that Lawrence slid a good 3-4 yds before the hit. Al-Shaair had to even nosedive downward to make sure he made contact with his forearm shiver..Dirty hit dirty player and now we know they have a dirty GM
It was a forearm to the face/head=never legal. There's nothing to argue. The guy already punched two other players in the face this year, the GM was being a fool...
@therocket280z7 And one of those players he punched after he made a dirty late hit on their QB and got confronted for it. But he's so dumb he punched a random bystander instead of the players actually confronting him SMH
Seems relatively easy to solve. If a defender has to go down, towards the QB, then that is cause for fine/suspension. The QB is down/giving up. “Down” is the operative word. Player no longer vertical, he’s given up. Defender has to lower his body to hit that player seems to be a foul.
Just like the court systems instead of just fining someone 20 times for money. Make an example from the start instead and they won't think they can pay their way out of it..
The defender did NOTHING wrong. Once the target has been locked in, and he has committed to the hit, there is no pulling back. The QB needs to be responsible and (1) slide earlier and (2) don't leave yourself exposed as you slide. The NFL is getting ridiculous with the way they are rigging the game towards the offence. They are making the game indefensible.
Never ejected? Then this is mostly on the NFL! If he was ejected or suspended for a previous violation it’s possible he would have changed his play on the field and this wouldn’t have happened.
There’s a very simple way to fix this. When a qb crosses the line of scrimmage with the football they leave all there qb protection at the line. It’s not the job of the defense to protect the offense
Ownership is not going to allow their highest paid players to be violently hit by defensive guys. Fans don't come to see defense, they come to see offense
I am from Texas, became fan of Texans with new coach and GM and QB. After seeing how they have protected the type hit, I am no longer a fan of any of them! Been athlete all my life. Never liked excuses for plays that go beyond sportsmanship! No need for that kind of play in football!
QBs trying to get away with late slides isn’t the case here lol. He was still standing when Trevor started the slide. It was a bad hit. He got suspended. Moving on
"Aiming for the neck or head area"? No. He was aiming for the mid-section. Trevor Lawrence, who is 6'6" tall, brought is head from over 6 feet above the ground to 3 feet above the ground (or mid-section height). What does he expect will happen with a late slide? If TL was running like any other runner, he would have been tackled in the mid-section.
@@SwayPromo It's not about being soft, it's about playing with respect for the game and for others. Brian Dawkins of the Eagles used to make the hardest hits, but you'll never find a clip of him making the type of hits Azeez has been guilty of.

That and everyone's against aziz because of his religious preferences. I miss watching those big hits in football, but now we're closer to soccer.. it's sad how soft men are now days.
Frankly, Azeez is a dirty player, it is not the first time he has done something like this, if he had not been suspended before it is irrelevant, since what he did is indefensible. And the league should definitely start putting more restraints and fines on dirty players like him. The physical integrity of the players must be protected.
QB's have to follow certain guidelines to. If you're going to slide, slide. DO NOT fake slide, period. Trevor was sliding, no doubt, Aziz had plenty of time to pull up, he didn't and went for the head. Valid suspension. I don't give a F what you're like off the field, this was a dirty hit.
He didn't have to hit him. Simple contact would complete the play. The coach is mad but honestly he sounds like a child who got in trouble with their parents
Did you not see the videos of Josh Allen hesi-sliding??? They didn't even show Mahomes and all of his clips because they have to protect their golden boy.
You’re an idiot. He slid late because he was trying to get extra yards.. the defender already going full speed…he can injured himself just like the ravens player tore his acl trying to stop a hit because the qb slid late as well…. The rule needs to be made. Once you hezzy to stutter step before sliding then the play is over. No more fake sliding
It is a problematic rule. Fake sliding should be a huge penalty. What are defenders supposed to do? They try to pull off when a QB starts to slide, however QBs wait too long to slide and it is next to impossible to pull off. Then there is the fake slide, a QB fakes the slide and the defender pulls off and and then the QB keeps running. The fake QB slide is possibly the worst play in football. When a QB does that it should be treated like a turnover because it is that serious. If more QBs do that then defenders are going to stop trying to pull off and hammer QBs everytime and understandably so. Just take the slide rule out of the game. If a QB runs you get hit just like every other player in the game. It's football, not pattycake!!!!!! I hate the slide, nothing more boring in the game. There should be risk to a QB running.
I think the rule should be simplified. If the QB starts to run, he turns a runner and is treated like a runner.
That’s already the rule. Any runner can slide or take a knee.

Bad take. People don't need to be celebrated for in today's game for this. I think 3 games is BS and there needs to be rules against QB's fake sliding or pretending to give themselves up. You’ve never played a high level sport and you’re telling me a guy who does, fakes went out of bounds? Yeah go to work dude, stick to what you know.

Take the sliding out of the game. Don't run the ball if you can't get hit. Go down! Defenses are handicapped
Go down? That’s what sliding is.
Sliding is going down…it’s going down in a way that’s often considered safer than falling forward
It's literally going down
You probably should have slide more dude sounding like you have some serious brain damage
He was trying to stretch his run for a first down. The defender was trying to stop him. He could have slid early but didn't

They eventually gonna get mad at Greeney for skipping the commercial breaks ever morning
They just put it somewhere else shorting another longer segment
Greenie has been warned several times about this...at some point he needs to be suspended.
You cant throw the ball away once you're passed the line of scrimmage
Yes I know. I'm saying you throw an incomplete pass or throw it out of bounds or try to run in which you get hit like the rest of the nfl.
But sliding should be banned. It causes more harm than good.
Sliding rule needs to be removed. You should be able to hit the QB
Sliding is not the problem it’s just typical people looking for excuses when there is a dirty hit
You clearly don’t watch football and are only talking about this one hit when it’s a wider discussion
THANK YOU! HE LITERALLY STOPPED AND CHANGED DIRECTION! NO INTENTION OF SLIDING! People just hate on Allen because he is Allen
That’s exactly why making fake sliding a penalty is a dumb idea… define a fake slide from an uncoordinated juke
Why is Kimberly Martin on this panel?
Idk
i know many disagree but I still dont see an issue with the Al-Shaair hit, it got news because its a QB
QBs are the only players that slide bro. If it was a RB it doesn’t even happen.
Because there is a rule that once the QB enters a slide they are down.
there may be a rule to QB sliding but if enough QBs fake slide then defenders will not adhere to rule since they will be fired for being ineffective at stopping the run
Because it was head hunting. The timing of the hit is mostly defensible. The style of the hit is indefensible.
Once you cross the line of scrimmage, you are no longer a QB, you are a running back!!
Watching mahomes run clearly out of bounds to stop the d only to cut up the sideline for 30 makes me sick.
The rule for fake sliding already exists, it’s too hard for refs to judge intent most of the time.

I'm all for rules being implemented to protect the players BUT in a lot of these instances...the defensive player is watching the offensive player initiate the slide and they still keep coming to hit the player. As a defensive player you can see the other player dropping to the floor and pressing the eject button.
Hahaha act like we don’t have eyes. Texans handling this terribly.
Sliding is dangerous. It puts your head in the target zone of the defender, without the ability to protect yourself. We need to ban the slide.
This is actually a solution, I’m not sure the NFL will do it as they prioritize QBs but this would make it easier on defenders.
I have to add that any position can slide as well though so that could cause an issue at some point
How is attempting to break somebody neck playing defense?
Lmao you’re a 🤡
According to Texans fans commenting here, a illegal forearm to the face is legal retribution for someone trying to scratch a couple more yards.
Which makes sense when Texans players have never, and will never, bend a rule 😂
@ I’m a Texans fan. And if cj tried to get some extra yards like that the defender should try and take his head off too….
Trevor Lawrence sliding puts his head in a dangerous position. He slid too late.
Easy way to stop the debate, make a rule where QBs are no longer allowed to run beyond the line of scrimmage. Problem solved.
Okay James, we can tell you let your son paint his nails😂
YOu are missing what he is outraged for. His issue is consistency from teh league. As has been said, their are similar hits that were fined or suspended at all and the only reason he got hte harsh penalty is because of what happened to Lawrence. the Azeez illegal tackle shows plenty of interesting things :
- this type of hit has been before the time when freaking defensive players like Ray Lewis or Suggs played very very rough, to crush offensive players down. The NFL hadn't said anything for years before about this kind of tackle. Why is this a controversy now ? (I know mentalities and all sorts of things have changed)
- the sliding rule for QB is a very concern.

Yah he pretty much launched himself. That's the problem I have with it. I think the consequences were fitting.

Not defending the forearm...But Trevor Lawrence was running full steam ahead, completely upright. From the moment he showed signs of sliding to when the contact happened - less than 1 second. Ask the defenders that let up on Mahomes only to see him go past them.

@therocket280z7 And one of those players he punched after he made a dirty late hit on their QB and got confronted for it. But he's so dumb he punched a random bystander instead of the players actually confronting him SMH
If QBs cannot be hit, they should never be allowed to run past the line of scrimmage.

The sliding rule is bs. I've seen multiple qbs fake slide and make game changing plays
There’s a very simple way to fix this. When a qb crosses the line of scrimmage with the football they leave all there qb protection at the line. It’s not the job of the defense to protect the offense
That's already the case.
Don't launch. I obey the rules. Protection matters
@@cuencaguy9799 so you mean to tell me if a running back did that you seriously think a flag would’ve been thrown?
Ownership is not going to allow their highest paid players to be violently hit by defensive guys. Fans don't come to see defense, they come to see offense
Quarterbacks who take advantage of the protection rules have nothing to do with this specific situation. Why does everyone keep bringing it up?
They're making a "boy who cried wolf" argument essentially.
People that continue to defend dirty players blow my mind.
We understand you’re soft. It’s ok
@@SwayPromoyou’ve never played a high level sport in your life foh
@@SwayPromo It's not about being soft, it's about playing with respect for the game and for others. Brian Dawkins of the Eagles used to make the hardest hits, but you'll never find a clip of him making the type of hits Azeez has been guilty of.
@ like I said… soft
Have you? Basketball at the local park doesnt count
Trevor Lawrence gotta take responsibility for not giving himself up earlier ..the suspension was excessive and prolly was based that it was Trevor who got hit
Bull
That and everyone's against aziz because of his religious preferences. I miss watching those big hits in football, but now we're closer to soccer.. it's sad how soft men are now days.
@ u said so much bro 🫱🏿🫲🏾💯🫡might as well play two hand touch or flag football
Frankly, Azeez is a dirty player, it is not the first time he has done something like this, if he had not been suspended before it is irrelevant, since what he did is indefensible. And the league should definitely start putting more restraints and fines on dirty players like him. The physical integrity of the players must be protected.
Take your soft opinions over to soccer.
@@crazycatlady4391 hahahahahaha take your BS to your self
QB's have to follow certain guidelines to. If you're going to slide, slide. DO NOT fake slide, period. Trevor was sliding, no doubt, Aziz had plenty of time to pull up, he didn't and went for the head. Valid suspension.
I don't give a F what you're like off the field, this was a dirty hit.
Terrible coaching. And for a grown man with a well functioning brain to go out there and still try to hit the QB after he is down. It’s even worse.
Sorry your dad wasn't around to teach you to be tough.
Just subscribed to Alemio Network's channel. Looking forward to more updates on this project
Kimberly Martin opinion does not matter get her off the show
and yours too.
@dreddmann6532 lol funny gal
Hawkins said " habitual line stepper" like Charlie Murphy called Rick James.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Simple fix. If a QB runs, they can't slide and the defenders can't tackle from knee below.
3 games? Should be gone for the season. Make the consequence severe enough where we never see it again.
Once QB gets out of the pocket and runs they are fair game imo, it is up to them to protect themselves.
If a qb leaves the pocket he should be considered a running back. That’s a clean hit this is a violent game
He is. It's already in the rules. It's not the timing of the hit; it's the style. That was a cheap shot with a forearm to the head.
You know a running back can slide right?
@cuencaguy9799 At that point in time his only other option was using his helmet, he made the right split second choice.
