I named him 'General Spot'! 30 years on and there are still so many strays, but at least there are more caring,compassionate people now helping them. Blessings to you wonderful ladies!💖👸💖👸

Even in pain, suffering he met three Angels: the fantastic woman who fed him and alerted you, then Ermioni and her friend.....no dog could ever be more lucky !! Poor boy; he seemed gently happy and grateful for the rescue and care that he received. A job well done, and another animal saved from a life on the,streets, and from probable starvation and disease.
@JT Schnitz I never once saw him bite, or even snap at anyone. However, if he did it wouldn't be surprising; he must have been in dreadful pain. As it turned out he was a gentle soul. Many dogs need to be sedated after such a horrific event as being run over. The Vet couldn't be sure what injuries he had, and neither Ermioni or the Vet knew the dog's disposition at the time. It made perfect sense to muzzle him until they knew him better. He didn't bite anyone, and he only very briefly had a muzzle on, since the pain may have been too much for him to handle without lashing out. These people are experts at what they do; they were naturally being cautious.
Thank you again Ermioni and team. DAR and Takis are two of the best rescue channels there are. All those billionaires in the world should donate to save animals, it's such a worthy cause , and to needy people as well. God bless you Ermioni for making a difference.💖👍💓🥰🌝

As the owner of the channel mentioned, they only used it for a brief period of time. But, to add to that- Because the dog was still inside the box when the vet gave the sedative injection, she probably felt it was safer to just quickly use the soft muzzle before proceeding. Normally, vets will have a tech hold a dog in a non-dangerous choke hold, while they come from the back/side to give any shots, as even the sweetest dogs can react aggressively at the discomfort of a needle poke. With the dog still inside the box, and facing towards the vet (meaning the vet has to reach in right beside face of the dog to reach the area where the injection must go), the safest approach was to take the extra precaution.
The muzzle is often necessary if pain is severe and safer for the dog. It is not used for long clearly. And sedating the dog helped to get better xrays and proper diagnosis.
