- We've done a few Martin Scorsese films on the channel, but I've always wanted to watch Taxi Driver and of course Robert De Niro absolutely kills it; such an intense movie!

One of the greatest movies ever made.
I loved the secret service guy. What he was really saying was: If you give me your name and address, we can do a background check and probably send some people to pick you up.
Most haunting role De Niro ever did. A brilliant performance.
It was the character of Iris played by a young Jodie Foster that was the beginning of John Hinckley 's obsession with her and to his attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan trying to impress her much like Travis Bickle. Hinckley obsessed over Taxi Driver and thought himself an anti hero like Travis Bickle
The main musical theme in this movie emotes "a dark, haunting loneliness". One of the greatest musical pieces written in the late 20th century.
Recommendation for you to react: Dirty Harry (1971), this movie is classic.
Scorsese and Deniro collaborated on so many classics. Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, Cape Fear, The King of Comedy, Mean Streets and The Irishman
Great movie, unfortunately you two overreactors ruined it.
LOUD NOISES. Just watched 2 Bricks completely misunderstand a classic film.
You guys should check out "Cape Fear" (1991) De Niro was scary and amazing in it.
It's heavily implied that Travis is a Vietnam veteran:
"You talkin' to me?"
13:31
The overhead shot of the carnage was absolutely genius film making.
I love how Travis casually says "hey, hey" before callously murdering the robber😂
The guy who had told him he was doing to kill his wife is the director himself in a cameo, Martin Scorsese.
Something that I love about this movie is that it doesn't openly explain you nothing.... All the details are there, is up to the audience to pick them up (like Travis taking his date to an adult cinema because he's uncapable of normal social relationships, or the fact that he adds bourbon to his cereals)..... The movie trust in the audience intelligence to make their own minds and doesn't treat you like an idiot, and that's something I allways admire Scorsese for.......
I watched Taxi Driver a few years ago on Netflix (partially in preparation for Todd Phillips' Joker) and I haven't forgotten about this movie ever since. Dark, eerie, moody, atmospheric and gritty with a menacing and mysterious vibe, and Robert De Niro's portrayal of Travis Bickle is unforgettable. I'm not surprised Todd Phillips cited this film as inspiration (and Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck's a modern day Travis).
Easily one of the greatest films of all time, calling it an experience hits the nail on the head.
The score is by Bernard Hermann, who scored "Psycho" amongst others,"Taxi Driver" was his last film🎩
