I mean they probably don't jam a jack Daniels flavored finger in the babies mouth, but they do use vanilla extract (which one of the main ingredients is 35% alcohol) to soothe the pain on infants gums when their teeth start to grow in.

It makes me so happy and so sad to watch this because Sam sees in Dean the future he will never have and the past they had together.
