Fred here: I have farmed hundreds and hundreds of divines doing this strategy, maybe north of 500 or so. The great thing about it is how flexible it is. The point is to go fast and kill lots of things. You'll get more looks at uniques for dusting (and you know, the good ones), more looks at seers for scrying and uniques, more nameless altars, etc. He mentioned it here but here are some things you can do if it suits you:
1. Run 8 mods, but if you do, unspec the chisels for map effect point and instead of magic pack scarab run the cartog scarab that gives map drop chance for map mods. It will help map drops.
2. Run the map you want, I run Toxic Sewers because you don't have to do more than go straight ahead at all time to get gold. Definitely not as good of a map for your mappers since the div cards are kind of crumby but you get a ton of toxic sewers back and you can vaal your own 8 mods and feed the scraps to your mappers and almost sustain your own 8 mods. It drops that many t16s.
3. As mentioned, use a gold flask and swap a link for rarity support. 500-600k g/h is not unreasonable with a quick build on toxic sewers, 1:45-2:15 per map on TS.
4. I take deli mirror chance which helps with rarity and your build might like having the extra monsters for clear. Mine does.
5. If the boss spawns on a ritual and you have the rarity, run it, it shits gold.
6. Consider skipping Orichalcum, Verisium and Amber mines, they're slow as fuck.
Also, if you're in softcore, Omen of Return is a defensive layer.
@@keith4282 or portal + cast on death
Do you feed any kind of rare T16 to your mappers? I've noticed that harder maps have significantly lower completion rates and tend to give less useful loot.
I'm trying running ~12 mod maps with a couple scarabs of risk, + the keystone that adds modifiers. Sometimes I get bad layouts, but sometimes I get 80+% packsize and > 200% quant. Not sure if it's worth it compared to just running good layouts though
I have a couple of questions about 8 mod T16 maps. Is there a way to search bulk exchanges for these on the normal POE trade or do I need to use 3rd party services like TFT? Could it possibly pay off to use cartography scarab of corruption to get these using this strategy, or is it too expensive for what it pays off?
And that's why I appreciate you and your channel so much. It's strategies with no strings attached. Sure, there are content creators posting more profitable strats but often times its when you actually try to replicate those strats, you realize you already need to be extremely well geared to do them efficiently - or at all.
For anyone wondering running singular focus i found 0 t17 maps from 20+ runs best to steer clear.
This is some good shit, and "graduates" super easily to 3-4x Risk + Cartography of Escalation (+ Influencing of Conversion if you feel like it/don't want +4 uncontrollable mods) -- as you make money and upgrade your own gear, you can pretty seamlessly start scaling maps for even more profit.
tl; dr excellent vid and strat.
IF it's a king in the mist ritual, the name will always be "nameless ritual"
I've been doing the gold farm you showed on stream that was very similar to this and it's been excellent. Going to try this out today. Love you Aer0
What off-meta strats are out there that I should explore?
Crop Rotation + Harvest Doubling + Twist of Fate + Cartography of Risk. Packsize gets like up to 100% on some maps. Only altars on the way to haverst, find harvest do it, out.
@@TR1D0Mwhy the twist of fate?
Also, t17 with max packsize roll, packsize chisels, harvest doubling, magic packsize and.. Not sure the rest, pick ALL cr nodes minus one small yellow for better distribution.
thx much for this input Sirs aer0_ and Fred, needed something exactly like this to push for a chase item without spending too much, gonna give it a go, keep up the good work and get well dude.
Why Singular focus affects T17 drops:
Singular focus turns other map drops into basic currency. So you get less map drops.
Less map drops means less maps are actually converted to T17.
@@havelthesock well that makes sense!
Got it rolling. Thanks! It works!
This is my first time playing POE and having an absolute blast. Got pretty far without investing time into a guide but really felt like I was wasting my time in end game.
First 20 or so maps with your strategy and I have hit a few div cards, a bunch of t17s and divine. All while farming that sweet sweet gold. Thanks for the strat which I will be using to sustain gold for the gaps in my playtime and you earned yourself a sub.
@@bravos4304 glad to hear it!
What favourite maps slots do you use ? all dry sea and 1 mesa ? 50-50 ?
All Mesa and 1 dry sea
Hope you’re feeling better brother.
cool guide. you think i can run this on 2 voidstones and ur ice trap of hollowness build? and how would you compare it to farming blight?
I wouldn’t run this without four voidstones since maps are the primary currency.
@@aer0 gotcha. just got my third one and looking to beat maven with ur ice trap trickster build
@@lloydlibrando2555 good luck! Then this strat will be great currency. I have a slightly updated tree in my twitch chat and recommend running toxic sewers. Type !atlas over there for the latest (id grab it for you but im in the hospital LOL)
going to have to give this a shot!!!
The fortunate is 1/6 of a divine. It gives you 2 per 12 cards. But this is a comfy strat no doubt. Don’t forget. Do your rituals if they are nameless.
Fortunate drops are not the goal of this strategy, I want my mappers getting them since they get a lot of div cards
@@aer0 I know. You just said it was 1/12. Just doing my due diligence in completely watching and analyzing your videos like I love to do.
@@BurningOne1 ohhh right right yeah that’s a mistake haha
pob for the build being used in this video?
replace hunted traitors with titanic scarab, it like 4xGold from Elder Portals. Makes Map Boss tough, but traitors is like waisted scarab slot.
interesting. Going to give this a go. Hunted traitors are natural to the map though and drop gold.
Traitors definitely isn’t wasted and titanic likely takes this out of “anyone can do it” territory but I’ll probably test, thanks!
I tried this, and although I only ran about 40 maps or so, I think the map drops were worse. I did happen to drop an almost perfect Squire though so I will cosign the approach. Less maps, more uniques.
one random t0 unique drop from 40 maps is not a very good basis of a quality strategy
@@kernoleary1394 no shit
Looks comfy I'll give it a go
It is important to favorite a map or I can do whatever 8mod corrupted map ?
1.4M gold over 100 maps is 14,000 gold per map, which is essentially what you'll average if you just alch and go.
Thank you for guide! Quick question: The video mentions 100% chance for Ritual but I only see 90% on the Maxroll atlas...
@@ILoveMyBGE base 8% chance as well. Not sure if I have blocks in this atlas I’m not at PC
@@aer0 Ahh, I always forget about the base chance! Thanks!
Hey guys, interesting Video, especially for me as a newbie!
I have 2 questions:
1. How do you specifically get so many mesa and dry sea drops? Like how do i tell the game that i want just These as map drops? Or did you just count mesa and dry sea seperat?
2. How do you connect 2 maps and what does it do?
Thx guys!
Connected maps are maps that have a line between them on your atlas and have a higher chance to drop. Favorited maps are slots on the left side of the atlas that are unlocked from killing various endgame encounters, maven, shaper guardian, Feared etc.
I'm a newbie so I need a little help here. How is your mesa map a higher tier than mine? I see it under T4.
@@dorout1 void stones come from fighting certain bosses, and then socketed into the atlas to raise the level of maps. Do this first!
@@aer0 Thanks for the reply. I really do appreciate it!
What build are you using in this video? It looks very fast and fun
Cold bv max block occy. Working on it on stream, video soon
Ive been doing similar start but with 8mod scarabs + map drops + traitors + magic pack. But running Fields so I can get tons of 8mod Defiles cathedrals. Already got an apothecary from my mappers. Pretty sure the div card rates on mappers is cranked up cus they seem to get more than I do. But maybe that is cus they are running through so many maps. I would try running Defiled cathedral.
question does mappers respect nameless seered maps? like if i put mesa on toxic sewers, if my mappers do toxic will they drop fortunates?
I was starting the video and then put the phone aside to listen to it while working.
Just realised I wasn't really listening to what you explained but rather just to the voice. Guess I just have to re-watch it later on to understand what the video is about😅
Ha, thought I was the only one that puts Aero on for ambient soothing talking background. Made a playlist of all his videos, just plays all the time while WFH. He should start doing audio books... Oh my heart.
Why do you aim for having Ritual Alters in the maps? I've done a million of them, and I don't see what you get out of them or why I would stop moving and stand there to do it. I was just curious what your reasoning was.
you add ritual for the mobs it comes with and not to do them unless it's nameless ritual
Haha yeah I mention in the video they are just for added mobs and not to complete them 😬
@@aer0 Still learning "end game" stuff. I took a break for a while and I'm just coming back. I've never really learned how to make money or had a bossing character. I've never been able to get the voidstones, and unlock favorite maps etc. I just make it up to T16 maps and just click and repeat. I burned myself out doing the same thing over and over I think. Most meta builds I think a majority of players can't afford, so I have to look at the next best thing or find mapping strategies that'll pay out.
I've found 5x cloister on 8mod jungle valley to be easiest 10d/hour, just watch some show on second screen and mindlessly farm. Also super easy to liquidate since most of the currency comes from stacked decks and scarabs which sell quickly.
But click click click click click
@@aer0 monkey screen click click click... always reminds me of that when i'm doing this strat...
@@aer0 that's true, lot of clicking
@@pseudipto I did it for a while, sold off 2500 decks and said that was probably enough for one league haha
On maxroll it shows scarabs for more incursion mobs but you don’t have alva scarab or atlas passives?
idk how you're getting so many t17's but I've only gotten one in the last hour and a half using your atlas, scarab, and map setup.
It has nothing to do with time, just maps cleared.
Possibly dumb question--how do I use the trade site to find 8-mod maps in bulk?
Use path of exchange, the maxroll hosted trading site!
Stupid question, but how do you bulk sell maps?
@@michaelcraig4129 path of exchange site. Crouching tuna has a great video on it

I have a few t17 maps but i thought they were to difficult like the valdos maps. So i skipped them. Am i wrong? You send to be sued farming them!
Edit: sorry for the autocorrect... I meant "you seem to be speed farming them (t17s)"
I farm this strategy to *acquire* t17s to sell
I’ve made a stupid amount of currency farming for t17s they sell instantly with a lucky apothecary drop I’ve made 200 divines in a few days of farming.
nice what build do you recommand i kinda have bad build rn
@@PEAKENTV anything that can clear juiced t16 maps efficiently. Doesn’t have to be anything special. I’m playing Archmage Spark at the moment. I wouldn’t recommend Spark but the more meta Archmage builds will be fine, any of the slam build would work great. Just pick a meta league start skill and rock out.
Thanks for this strat. I was looking for something a bit more chill to do for farming maps. Just for anyone noticing the lack of map drops and want's more sustain and to see more T17's frequently - Switch out one or two of the scarabs for Cartography ones. This is, definitely as stated in the intro, Gold First, and any maps + T17s as "rarer/nice to have" drops. I'm not too sure what's going on with this strat for map drops, but I've come across more maps just doing random, non-map specced, non map scarab, exp farming (Breach+Beyond+Shrines) and tend to get one T17 every 10-12 maps while I was levelling form 90-95.
What level do I need my mappers to be? All lvl 10?
9/10 works for t16
Hello, new player here. is this still viable? at this time in the league? Thank you!
It’s great still!
@@aer0 Ok thank you! followup question sir. Do I need all 4 voidstones to run this as well as 132 atlas points?
@@dragon501000 you definitely need 4 voidstones, you don’t need 132 points. Drop extra connected map nodes.

i did everything in the video but i take the keystone twist of fate around 27 to 40 k gold per map
Farming unique maps - some have decent gold drops. Never imagined farming Poorjoy's Asylum ever. Not sure about Hall of Grandmasters tho - haven't touch it since they removed it from the Atlas.
Grandmaster sucks in gold. Poor joys is get in gold. Been trying the Glacier/torment/titanic strat. Very deadly but it's about 50k a run
@@tphuynh85 if you farm Torment, Delirum, Anarchy or Titanic for gold then do this in yellow tier maps (preferably 8+ mods with 100+ quant) - you still get plenty of gold, but it's more managable.

got me on the WOOF WOOF :D
1.4 mil from 100 maps is what I'd make by just alc and go with no scarabs though
Did you even test the comment of "the mappers bring home a lot more per map than you are it seems". So far my mappers are barely giving any fortunate cards. Maybe 1 or 2 per 36 maps ran by them.
I said that my hunch that mappers bring in a lot of div cards is why I wanted to try this setup. I am having the same experience as you
This strat gives like 20-25k gold a maps whereas rogue exiles with titanic scarabs give like 50k min.
Most people can’t farm rogue exiles. The goal of this strategy was approachability, not perfect efficiency for top end builds. I tried my best to explain that with the title, thumbnail and video.
1.4 million gold for 100 maps is terribly low. This strategy is clearly not for farming gold. 14k per map is less than almost any other strategy on T16 maps. It's better to spend another 80-100с and farm 25-30k gold than to waste time on an extra 50 maps
This strategy is designed to be available to any player with any build. Also it’s not JUST for gold farming, it drops a significant amount of easy to sell loot (namely T17s).
The goal was to share an easy and accessible farming strategy. Thats all this is, and i plastered that information all over the title, thumb and content of the video.
where is timecodes?
really bad gold farm strategie :/
The whole notion of playing animal crossing lite to increase my currency and constantly feeding that … just no. PoE really taking a wrong turn.
*any build that can run T16 maps
It isn’t a “build” if it can’t complete the basic core of the end game. I feel like the bar is pretty low here.
@@aer0 endgame starts at T16?
@@near--zero currency farming strategies? Absolutely yes.
@@aer0 so basically endgame builds, not 'any builds' lol
@@near--zero this is so weird
i've been doing pretty similar thing, but a bit higher budget, 8mods + carto scarabs ( additional map mods, inc map drops per map mods) but that was really rippy due to lack of control over map mods, from my experience: Red Altars = more general currency/higher difficulty, Blue Altars = much easier map sustain [map duplication altars] / possibility of jackpot/ generally easier but less overall currency
PS. If You run strat from this vid but use 8mod maps and farming T17s is main goal i suggest using 1 Cartography scarab of escalation somewhere in setup instead(80% inc map drop rate is really nice)
