Chef John I have been following you since 2008. I was single back then, my waist was narrow and my mind was broad. I have tried dozens of your recipes and you have really helped me up my cooking game. Even to date every time there is a notification, I drop everything to watch your video. Gone are the days when I could eat like a pig and not gain a pound. Some of it I am blaming on you :)
EDIT:In 2010 I married a girl who was rather quite impressed by my cooking skills. Chef John had a lot to do with that. She has bore me 2 wonderful daughters. Waist may not be narrow anymore. The back and neck may not be hairless anymore. But life is quite wonderful.
Are you complaining - or bragging? You are, after all, the Liza Minnelli - of your expanding belly.
Ehhhn-joy! 😸
I assume you aren't single anymore, thanks to all the cooking tips you learned from Chef John? Truly inspiring.
@@TheStockwell Am I complaining or bragging? The answer is Yes :)
Liza Minnelli and expanding belly sounds so much better than Andrew Tate and expanding waist. 😀
As always Ehnnnn-joy!!!!!!!
Hat's off! Someone who knows when he's got it made! Wishing you continued blessings.
Uh Oh Getting the dad bod like the rest of us. lol
I just came home from the Farmer's wife fruit and veggie stand.
I bought one gorgeous Peach that cost $1.50.
I checked my phone and there you were making Peach fritters, 😲 OMG !!
You are using only one peach, YAY
So, what's for lunch today?
That's right...
HAPPY ME
🥰
I worked at a bakery as the Fritter King. I made fritters out of everything I could find. I used natural juice over any liquids, but I did use a couple tablespoons of buttermilk.
Did you use yeast?
@@Trblsum96fritters have yeast?
@@lucapeyrefitte6899 that’s what I was asking genius.
HAIL TO THE KING 🤴 🙌 ❤
Why
I just so happened to have literally every ingredient for this. I immediately got up and made these, and holy hell this was beyond amazing! Legitimately one of the best deserts I’ve ever had. The bourbon syrup is going to be going on so many things from now on as well!
You are (after all) the Tex Ritter
Of your Bourbon Peach Fritter!
I honestly don't think I've ever had a peach fritter. Apple fritters and i think even pineapple but now i desperately want to make this. Looks wonderful 😋
I'm buying peaches when I go shopping this weekend. As always thank you Chef John.
This recipe is just peachy! 🍑
I made these tonight along with the bourbon glaze and my family raved about how good they were! I had 7 small, fresh peaches left over from a recent trip to the farmers’ market so I doubled the recipe and it worked out great. Thank you, Chef John!
I always make your apple fritters during the fall and they're amazing. I can't wait to make these - probably tonight!
what type of apples do you use?
Pureed banana/overripe plantain + nutmeg, cinnamon, tiny bit of salt + flour and baking powder. Banana fritter Cameroon version.
I made these this morning, and they’re absolutely fantastic, especially considering how easy they were. Thanks!
The only way I could see this looking better is to serve with homemade peach ice cream! 😋
As much as I love apple fritters, I think I'm going to love these too! 😘
Thanks for sharing another great recipe!🤩
Happened to be gifted a box of peaches shortly after watching your video! We quickly got to frying; thank you for the recipe!
Try peach mousse (I think it was Bon Appétit, v good)
Thank you! I made these tonight - delicious! Lots of compliments 😊
I'll be trying this ASAP. Thanks.
this is wonderful, I cannot wait to try this! Thanks Chef!
Looks fantastic!! Great idea! Must try this peach season. Thank you, as always, Chef John.
Perfect time for this video!!!!! I have a bumper crop of peaches coming off my tree this year- thank you!
I made this tonight, thank you so much; it was delicious!
Such a delight, and the fritters look good too.
There's a place near me that makes really great fritters, these are on par with those and maybe even better. This one will go in the recipe box. Thanks Chef John!
Those look absolutely delicious. 😍
The comment section here is wholesome. I love your videos
Just wanna say thanks for all these great recipes. You've never led me astray and you're a staple in our house
I just made these. My God. They are amazing. Absolutely eat these with the syrup and ice-cream
So brilliant!
Dude! As per usual, you're recipe is spot-on and yummy! I doubled this batch and was a little nervous that it was too dry. You're a wonderful host because you said it would look dry, so I kept the faith. The batter came together just like you said it would. These were really, really good! The Burbon syrup is a really nice touch too! Thanks! You are, you have been, and continue to be our family's favorite recipe author!
they look so good and easy to make...
These peach fritters sound so awesome, and it’s peak peach season now! I think I like your bourbon simple syrup, but for simplicity (that means cutting corners) I think I’ll try it with maple syrup or hot honey simple syrup (just dilute the hot honey with a little water just to make it thinner.) Honey on vanilla ice cream is awesome, but I’ve never tried the hot kind.
Thanks again Chef John! This is a good one.
Dear chef John,
As always, your the best~!
You have provided me with the answer to one of my life's yearning, a better peach fritter. Gracias
Those Peach Fritters look absolutely delicious ❤
Yeah.
I'm making this on the weekend
john: you're in rare form today! you had me cracking up all through this! 😄 i do enjoy your humor, but today it seemed to come out of nowhere, lol!
YUM! Must try!
Our peaches are so good here in Georgia that I can just take my fingers and pill the skin off and the juice is unbelievable. Yumbo!!! Making these tonight!
Georgia peaches are legendary, but we do have a certain area in Colorado known for amazing peaches.
Not trying to take your title, you grow FAR more than we do; but the area around the small western-slope town of Palisade, CO has the soil and climate to grow excellent peaches, which we are known for.
Our real claims to fame are the Cantaloupe melons grown near the town of Rocky Ford, on the high plains east of Pueblo; and the Pueblo green chili pepper, which is the feisty brother to the New Mexico Hatch chili pepper.
@@kennethcook9406 - I believe it. Actually, the pockets in Georgia that have good peaches are hard to come by these days. They don't grow as much as they used to. I've had some great peaches from different states. Can't wait to head out to that Palisade area in Colorado and try yours. When's the best time for those peaches? And the best time for the canteloupe and green chilis? Those sound great too!
@@knowledgetracker Summer for everything. June through September.
Although chili peppers can be grown indoors year-round.
Also, you can get a Rocky Ford Cantaloupe at almost any Kroeger-affiliated store in the state (King Soopers, City Market)
@@kennethcook9406 - cool! Thanks!
@@knowledgetracker The eastern half of our state is considered as "high desert" so the area around Rocky Ford forces the cantaloupes to concentrate their sugar in the melons; while Palisade is in a strange intra-mountain area that creates a good climate for a lot of different fruit, including peaches, cherries, and wine grapes.
In fact, if you can name a berry, we can probably grow it (or something like it) somewhere in Colorado.
For example: the big juicy strawberries that are sold everywhere in every store, are total garbage when compared to the tiny wild mountain strawberries from an appropriate environment.
That looks like a prize-winning recipe!
omg, very awesome and decadent and delicious looking too!
Delicious!!
I am in awe of your culinary talent!😍 This peach fritters recipe highlights your creativity and expertise in the kitchen.
Well done!🤩
Looking forward to your upcoming recipes 🙏👍
Looks delicious 😋
these look outrageous
Living in Palisade Colorado known for peaches I will be trying this recipe soon, very excited!
Looks great 👍
OH MY! My mouth is watering!
Can’t wait to try this!:)
thank you
lol...i love your sense of humor
Thank you. Bourbon... and peaches, YEAH Kentucky! God Bless and stay safe.
Just picked the first few peaches off the tree. Great timing!
I would actually purchase a deep fryer just to try this recipe. Looks amazing. Thank you, Chef John.
An electric fry pan should also work just fine, plus be *WAAAY* more versatile.
Yum, thanks.
Perfect Timing, I just got 6 fresh in season Peaches!!
Chef John, I made these tonight. So easy and delicious. Big hit with my wife.
I don't have a fryer but I think my local Long John Silvers would be glad to put peaches into some Hush Puppies for me!
I am an original GA Peach and all I can say is YUM!!! Will have to try for myself.
My dear sweet Chef John.....you are my best therapy on this 104 degrees humid day in #Illinois . 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
It is absolutely stupid hot in Illinois today!
Grasias por conpartir
Become the master sushi chef we know you are.
That looks delicious 🤤.
You could probably use plums or nectarines as well. I think it would go with some fresh firm pears.
Yeah, but the peaches have that unique thicker syrup they exude when you add sugar, and you need that to make this work, just like some fruits have pectin, some don’t.
Nice Dish
Chef John, try starfruit jam with vanilla ice cream! Sweet, tart and creamy!
This is perfect for my dinner dessert. Was making a peach cardinal but now I shall serve a hot fritter ball over slices of poached peaches and raspberry compote 🎉🎉
Ha, I was just imagining this with a raspberry coulis a la peach Melba…
Peach mousse is also amazing!
You are after all the Chef John Ritter of your Three's Peach Fritters
Really, Chef John? You went through an entire peach recipe WITHOUT singing: 🎼Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, Peaches, I love you, oh🎶
😜
Mmmm...peaches!
You should give dutch fritters (Olie bollen) a fry, a treat we usually get to enjoy around new years eve.
First “like” on the video . I’ve only been trying to do that for 6 years on this channel.
What
I want!!!!
yummy
Chef John these look delicious, would it also work with mango?
So enjoy your dad humor.
I don't deep fry at home, but this recipe really makes me want to.
I'm wondering how well this would work pan fried.
You can easily shallow fry in a pan.
@@foodwishes Merci, that's what I was thinking.
@@foodwishes Going to be trying this with persimmons.
Cooking those peels in the syrup probably would've been good.
Fresh peaches are in down here in Texas. And this video dropped today. 😮
looks killer.
people that wig-out over the ice-cream not being perfect may want to reprioritize their life's choices :D
Thanks for the awesome vegan recipe!
Love that this is dairy and egg free! I'm always looking for great recipe ideas for my gastro-limited friends. Thanks Chef John!
thanks! I have a few peaches that I can make this delicious dessert.
Yum!
Peachy keen Chef!❤
you are the best
Haha, this was the last place I thought I'd hear a microdosing reference but here we are.
I'd love to see you make a zucchini fritter video too.
I think I'd drizzle over a little bourbon white chocolate sauce with these. I bet that would be a great mix.
Excellent recipe. Works well with mangoes, too. And some other stone fruit as well, I suppose.
And bananas and pineapple
Super
Being winter currently in Australia I will be using canned, so since most likely it will be in syrup I would say maybe 2-3 tablespoons of the liquid from the can? I will test it tonight, they looks great!
Oh snap!!
Time for a trip over to Brentwood or a local Farmer's Market. We certainly can't get great peaches in our supermarkets any more. Hybridized to increase shelf life and reduce shipping damage losses these hard as a rock in the market "peaches" suck. Thanks UC Davis.
I'm in!!!!
When i was on holiday in Japan, i found a popular drink in the vending machines that was simply called 'Peach Nectar' it was the best peach juice i had there. So sweet and tasty. I brought some back and made jelly (Jello in US) with it. If i had some left, I'd try adding it to make batter 😊
You can get peach nectar in the US, check the Hispanic isle of your local super market.
Its basically just heavily sweetened peach juice.
@adamoliver2643 ooh nice, I always look for it in the Asian supermarket. I don't think we have a Hispanic market near me (I'm in Scotland) but I'll look into it, thank you.
@xxPenjoxx yep, Goya should have it. Pear, as well.
How close are you to Aberdeen? I'm guessing shops are a bit more international there
YUMM
Yummy 👩🏻🏫😋🥰‼️
Grateful for my peach tree
That’s some top level niceness I’m sure.
The truth about deep frying: if there’s plenty of bubbles, what you’re cooking is not absorbing oil. It can’t absorb oil while it’s steaming off.
Not quite how that works.
Solid food doesn't absorb much oil, but any coating you put on it absolutely does.
It does not matter if you remove a battered/breaded item before it finishes cooking,(and before the bubbles slow down), the coating will still be oily, because it absorbs oil.
The air fryer commercials leave out the fact that you can't put breaded or battered items in it.
Air fryer commercials only tell you the difference between a coated deep fried item, and an uncoated air fried item
Gonna try these with apples! Not sure if I can extract the juice from it the same way though. We'll see!
It would go well with clotted cream as well.
Hell yeah lets go
I bet this would be amazing with a creme anglaise
