- Episode 8, called Ever After, ties up everyone's loose ends.
Frances (Melissa McCarthy) and Tony (Bobby Cannavale) leaves Tranquillum after the police arrives and heads to the nearest Four Seasons to have dinner. She gets inspiration to write a new book.
Yao (Manny Jacinto) and Delilah (Tiffany Boone) joined the Peace Corps. Lars (Luke Evans) ends up writing his story for The New Yorker and got back with Ray. Ben (Melvin Gregg) and Jessica (Samara Weaving) takes over Tranquillum House, while Carmel (Regina Hall) is helping other people in therapy. The Marconi Family (Michael Shannon, Asher Keddie and Grace Van Patten) take a family road trip. Tony is back in good terms with his daughters and is implied to be in a relationship with Frances. They also adopted a retriever. Meanwhile, Masha (Nicole Kidman) is seen having Frances' latest book called Nine Perfect Strangers (way too on the nose there, guys) on her dashboard, driving off into the sunset with Ben's Lamborghini while hallucinating her daughter.
Personally I liked the finale. Great acting from Michael Shannon and the way they filmed the early scenes were unnerving. Masha made me cry. Thank God for Frances and Tony.

My beloved brother died last week, and this past Saturday we buried him. My mother and I started watching this in his last weeks, and I watched the finale last night. I wish I could let all the actors know how profoundly this last episode, in fact the whole series, affected me.

💚
I had the same experience my friend.I just had to separate his memory from that day. Finally after 6 years I let all out.A big puddle on the floor.Liberated me.Thank you
Perfect song selection and ending to this show. Queensryche - Silent Lucidity
Ah- I hoped, that somebody would name that song. Liked it as a teen, forgot about it and searched for it after I saw the final. Thank you, I wish you a perfect day with joy and laughter 🌻
Great song !
Man I was hoping I want alone in thinking that this song combined with this ending was sheer perfection!
When I heard that fist riff of Silent Lucidity I was just floored! Perfection pure and simple.
@@robhughes8516 right there with you
I am pretty sure the director built the whole sequence around this song. I mean, the pace, rythm and melody of the images and sound is pure majesty… bravo !!!!
Man, when I heard the first note of silent lucidity all I could say was wow, this is perfect, completely perfect. Silent Lucidity playing through this shows final minutes was so incredibly and perfectly fitting. This whole series was justified in the last 4 minutes of the finale, bravo people in tv land and actors and actresses in this series…. and of course Queensryche (Geoff Tate: Chris Degarmo) for one of the best songs to ever be recorded.
Agreed 100%
This song is a true masterpiece! Love this song❣️
I love when Tony reconnected with his daughters, he’s shown to be drinking a glass of water while they’re drinking wine. And he shaved his beard, shows how much he’s grown.
Bobby Cannavale said he chose Tony's look because he thought the character wouldn't want to be seen so he wore that bucket hat, the ill-fitting clothes and grew his beard. Now, some people think the ending of the characters was just Frances' imagination so if that's the case, it's a big jump from her saying that same morning she's scared of them either working out or not because she doesn't know which is worse. And I think that's wonderful.
Beautiful. He let all the baggage go.
This whole series profoundly affected me. I'm reminded of my best friend who died. He loved this song. And to forgive myself. So many years I hated myself. I abused drugs for years. This was an outstanding show and this song is one of my favorites...ever.
this is perfect
I read the book before this and loved the series every bit as much.
All of the characters journeys were so compelling and I love how they all in their own ways found peace of mind and their happy endings.
I just finished reading the book! It was pretty good. Have only watched little clips of the show because don't have Hulu.
Great show. And 100% true. Working w/ Ayahuasca changed my life. Helped me save my marriage, forgive others and myself, take my career and health to new heights. Was pleased to see this show explain the possible results but what can go terribly wrong as well. Thanks for posting
Hi. Glad I've seen your post. May I ask where did u try ayahuasca? If not much too ask of course.
@@cristinamunoz8455 Actually the majority of times Ive done it is at a retreat center in Florida called Soulquest. Its a wonderful community there. Ideally I think the experience could be much better in South America in a more traditional setting but Soulquest has medical professionals, spiritual help before and after and a pyschologist on staff to be there to help integrate the experience if needed. But more than anything they do a great job of setting up a safe and beautiful backdrop for you to work with the medicine by yourself.... but steps away if you need them. I wish you well.. They are easy to find online.. if interested call and see if its for you
Thanks so much. Very kind of you for respond
I just thought ayahuasca was illegal in most of the countries. I ll keep on eye on that. Cheers.
I do not regret watching this but I will caution those who have lost their Children (as I have ) and siblings that it is gut wrentchingly painful to watch.
The show was a little nutty, but this ending is great
Life is a little nutty. We are not in control
Tranquilium house. Nathaniels kiss. Masha. The herbal drug cocktail. Starlight nights. This was a good read. Had nice psychedelic or spiritual experiences in my life. Really healing. Have met a lot of real Mashas. ♥️. Love. Trinity and Neo.
Season 2
Awesome song
That relationship was the most unrealistic part of this show 😂
Cool
💜💜💜💜
Yeah none of that was real, it was all Frances writing her story. Notice when her montage ends it goes back to the table and it shows Tony nodding off like he is on something. All of these happy endings were part of her story
Well, Frances isn't a baby killer. She doesn't even wound her characters!
In the book he moves in with her and his grandchildren start calling her grandma.
@@DragonflyandTheWolf in the book it is also implied that it is a figment of frances imagination. she begins to write and the ending of the book proceeds
No that would be a stupid ending, it would undermine the whole story.
It's hilarious to me that people believe this since, in the ending of the book, Moriarty pretty blatantly makes fun of people who hate happy endings.
❤️
Perfect 😍
great song but they are not even playing backgammon correctly
Nice song ending to a strange show …
Queensryche!!!
