I applaud Kaleb Johnson for his years as a Hawkeye and all of his amazing contributions. His legend will forever be celebrated and remembered in Hawkeye lore. Thank you Kaleb! Thank you choosing Iowa and carrying this team on your broad shoulders for a few years now. Best of wishes at the next level I truly think you will be great!
KJ2 is such a great human. Stellar example of what it means to be a Hawkeye. The RB room is going to be fine. Moulton is a great back, Patterson is right up there too.
Kaleb Johnson’s announcement showed what an outstanding human being he is. His talent is obvious, but to take the time to thank the community like that, shows a level of class that should make us all proud to be part of Hawkeye nation. He’s not lauding himself but acknowledging everybody who was part of it. Hope he becomes an outstanding NFL running back. Everybody should root for a guy like this.
Writing from South Dakota --- you've been so fun to watch, Kaleb. I'm a huge Hawkeye fan. Best of luck to you in your future on and off the field. You're a fine man.
Kaleb has been amazing this year. He deserves to go pro at position that has a shorter time frame. Good luck Kaleb thanks for your years. Hope he becomes a Viking?
Lester choked the ISU game away with being ultra-conservative and almost cost us the Nebraska game. When you aren't a threat to pass, it makes the margin for error very small and this gets accentuated in the red zone. Some of the worst red zone play calling I have ever seen--complete lack of creativity all season minus what Sullivan was able to do. No illusions of competing with the elite programs, but Indiana is showing this isn't a science project that takes multiple years to create.
@ well he had Kirk crying to him about not passing too much and he also had to deal with Brian ferentz’s players. He needs to improve the athleticism and skill level of the players executing the plays
Just my two-cents, but portal dollars and attention should be on d and the o-line. No RB or QB matters if you can't run and pass block. 130th in passing ahead of the three service academies. Lester was underwhelming and that is being kind.
@@FromtheHawkeyeoftheStorm Agree to disagree here. Iowa is a one trick pony. They look decent if they can run, but awful if they can't. MSU, UCLA, and ISU, and Nebraska loaded the box and dared Iowa to throw (knowing they can't / won't). Nobody is asking for air raid Iowa, but do you think going 0-10 on 3rd down conversions against Nebraska and getting stuffed at 1st and goal from the 4 points to dominant run game? I don't.
@@user-en4xq7en6e Are we talking about Friday's game or the entire season? Are you aware that Lester DRASTICALLY improved Iowa's 3rd down conversion rate? 41% on the season.
Can't really critique him when he's been given so little talent to work with outside of his running backs. Iowa needs average wide receiver and QB play, which hasn't happened for years now.
As for the long pass run against Nebraska, I think if you slow down the play it looks more like a lateral than a forward pass and if that is true & changed, he has another 100 yd game and his per carry avg is improved.

I think Kamari has the potential to very good, and the OL will be underrated if Dunker & Stephen's return.

Hopefully he will come to Tampa instead and be a buccaneer
Vikings need a better back would be awesome to get Johnson
Best of luck to him!. Had a great career !
Let's see what Tim Lester can do this off season

Big Ten leader in rush offense makes Total Pass Offense a much less meaningful stat.

They need a QB

None of that really matters...except to you.
What's your point??
How about those cyclones
You know Kaleb wrote that with chat gpt! 😂
I was kind of thinking the same thing...then he/someone probably finessed it a bit to not sound so chatgpt-ish.
