Hawk fans will need to adjust their expectations around this team. They will not be the run and gun, high-scoring CC led offense they're accustomed to. But with the ascension of Addie's game, backed by Ava, and with Hannah at the 4, they will be one of the best paint teams in the B1G. And this is a tougher team in many ways, and playing better D than we've seen in years. It will be interesting to see how Stremlow and Guyton develop; with T having a great all-around game, but maybe not a pure PG, and so far not a reliable shooter. Guyton looks a little quicker, and can score. But will she be able to assist like Stremlow? Iowa's outside shooting/ FT's perked up in this game, and if they can continue that trend, the Hawks will be hard to beat. Also important is whether we have a good back-up to Hannah at the 4. I see Mallegni as more of a 3, but looks like Jan is trying to develop her as a 4 out of necessity. At any rate, as these freshmen develop, this Hawkeye squad has a decent chance to shatter a lot of pre-season expectations after losing CC and 3 other starters, and Bluder as well. To me, they're looking like a potential sweet 16 squad.
