A large part of the charm of these lovely videos is Kirsten's voice. I could listen to her voice all day. Kirsten, I think you would do exceptionally well reading children's stories for Audible. Not everyone has a voice so very pleasant to hear.
What a lovely surprise to see you in Montgomery, I have family connections there and have been many times. My grandfather was born there in 1887 and lived there up until the start of WW1. I'm sure if he was still here and walked about the place he would hardly notice any change apart from the cars of course, just timeless and totally unspoilt.
Even though the skies are grey ad the weather is cold, this town is still so beautiful and picturesque. Misty churchyard with purple flowers, yummy cakes in cosy teahouses, bookshops and bric a brac, an ancient castle and the rest and.....of course...you guys are always a ray of sunshine that brighten up our day. Thanks again Kirsten and Joerg for the wonderful video 🌼🌞💕
I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit to Montgomery. I met my husband there over 50 years ago. I live only 2 miles away. We are so lucky to have such lovely shops. During covid lock down the spar shop delivered groceries to our farm, and bunners supplies bits for our farm to fix almost anything.. P. S. Your Welsh cakes will taste even better spread with butter. Best wishes Sue. Xx
Thankyou for sharing your wonderful travels. It's great to discover these beautiful places with you. Your videos are so relaxing, and are a real moment of escapism for me 🌟🤗
Aww, love Montgomery. My grandparents, Aunt and Cousin lived there and I used to go and stay with them. Remember when it was a post office. Did you see the Robbers Grave in churchyard?. Many thanks for film
I love to grab a cup of tea and sit and watch your videos when I have the time. Just very soothing and charming, always. You are absolutely lovely, both of you.
18 seconds in to this video,I recognized this to be the location from one my family’s favourite Christmas specials. 1987 version of a Child’s Christmas in Wales with Denholm Elliott. Just lovely. Thank you 😊
Swooning over the choices of paints and fabrics, the modernization without destroying the timeless soul. It's so inspiring given what gutting "renovation" programs are popular here in the USA. Thank you for sharing. 🥰
😊 Ever so thankful for your enchanting and fun videos. I love how there's so many beautiful places to visit and so much to do and see and learn. Or just relax . Have fun and just be.
What a beautiful place you visited, so picturesque and very peaceful. The cottage is Devine, would make a super family based holiday home. Thanks again for sharing your delightful experience.
Liebe Kirsten und lieber Jörg. Vielen Dank.
I was in Montgomery a couple of years ago...very charming place. Very authentic, not touristy at all, like time's stood still. Welsh cakes taste even better when toasted with butter on top. 😊
Absolutely loved this tour of this small town. Reminded me of my childhood when we visited a great Uncle in the small town where my Grandfather was born, there was a “General Store”right down the street just packed with things. It had been in the family for 3 or four generations and they never threw anything away. They just kept adding. Originally lived above store but built a “new” house next door and just added things or moved them up (3 floors) and added a “shed” out back. It was a great place to explore. Eventually in the 1970s or 80s turned into an antiques. I found so great things there when we bought our first house.
I can imagine how pretty Montgomery would be in the spring.. such interesting little shops and the moated castle truly a lovely place to spend a weekend 😊❤
I absolutely loved seeing my favourite couple in my favourite town!! I adore Montgomery it's a very very special little place and it's wonderful seeing it through your eyes too. Bunners is a great store and you can get absolutely everything. I loved the holiday property really homely just gorgeous!! You must look up an old t.v film it's called 'A Child's Christmas in Wales' it was made in the 80s I think starring Denholm Elliott it was filmed almost entirely in Montgomery and it's one of the most charming Christmas films you could wish for it's on RUclips too. 😀
This place is just gorgeous. I would move in tomorrow! The light coloured sofa is the same style as one I bought some years ago from John Lewis, but I have never been able to sit on it as it causes me pain in my back. But I still like the style, looks great in that room.
Such a gem, Montgomery! Thank you so much for displaying it so tastefully! And the ironmongers Bunners is so adorable, I could spend hours there😄 A special thanks for sharing the pie book with us: hopefully looking forward to a cosy pie-cooking video from you guys 😉

Hello Kirsten and Jeorg, so good to see you both again. I am really enjoying this video so much. I think this village is so beautiful. I hope that you are having a wonderful time. Enjoy your self's have a wonderful day.
Hi Guys, loved this episde and as I was watching my partner texted me to say that he had just meet you at the Jane Austen Centre in Bath, he plays Mr Knightly at the door!!! He sent me a picture. What a coincidence !!!! Love watching your adventures, can't wait to see the Bath One! 😍
Oh it’s so nice to hear from you! We had such a fun time at the Jane Austen Centre and please tell Martin again that it was an honour to meet him. Sending lots of love.x
This vlogg is absolutley wonderful ! I hope you dont mind me suggesting a place not far from Chester Town Centre , Its called the Little Tin Chapel, we stayed there for a few nights and it was truely wonderful!! I think you would love it there❤, a very thought out and cosy place to stay xx
I love the little ironmonger store. So cool. We used to have a hardware store in our town in the Kansas USA that was here for 100 years. It carried everything just like the Ironmonger. The old gentleman knew where every single item was located in the store Sadly it closed a few years ago. Thanks for the video. The town was so charming.
It’s actually not dead at all - as always we tried to film most of the things very early in the morning as otherwise we would not have been able to film what we wanted.
Wales is special to this now Australian. My mother's family is Welsh and my father's youngest brother lives in Cardiff. He presented a consumer affairs program " The Ferret" for many years. And of course I have visited many times. Never went to Montgomery so your vlog was very welcome!
I hope I haven't been rude, when I say - I just feel that you, guys, are almost like my family. 🙋🌞 It is again - strange feeling, but it is a history behind it. Who's already booked their trip to visit the Montgomery shop? ☺ What a great little store! And that cutting board is delightful! 😍 Beautiful castle views, too! Wonderful trip! Thank you for sharing and showing us around the town and your gorgeous accommodations! What a great location to spend the night! 🥰
The blue china looks great against the dark wood of the Welsh dresser, doesn't it! Thank you for the tour of the house and Montgomery. It is just the sort of place we love to explore. There are so many interesting things to see there and from the location you chose, everything is to hand :)
I love the ironmongers shop and miss the last of it's kind in my area that closed about 7 years ago. You could find all sorts there. What a lovely cozy bookshop to visit! The post office building is an appealing mix of old and new. The Welsh cupboard is beautiful. I could live in a place like Montgomery. You go to the most interesting places and often it's quite an education in interiors that ideas immediately start forming in my head! Not to mention some of the views!
Oh yes, so special! These kind of shops closed down in our German villages decades ago and got replaced by the big markets, quite sad really. Yes, Montgomery is a gorgeous place to live.
There are still a few of those General Stores that are open in the summer in very small towns in our Lake Resort tourist areas in the Upper Midwest U.S. Hardware /kitchen , to bait and tackle, souvenirs/gifts and magazines, casual clothing, bread and milk and a few groceries, beer, Ice cream cones etc. Not too many are left.
Hi Kirsten and Joerg, "wow" so many beautiful things to look at, I love this house and yes, it's charming. The open plan does not take away anything from the seventeen-century era of this home. The etching on the windows is just stunning. I absolutely love it. The stairs are amazing, I to love the carpet. The upper floors are so quaint and cozy. The window views are amazing. I love this place thank you so much for sharing it with us. Love from N.Y.
Y'all visit the most charming places! Love that shop that has " everything"!! I miss shops like that. Could spend hours in there finding things I " need" lol! Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you so much for showing us this beautiful town. I loved everything about it. The buildings, the shops, the flowers, the church and the castle ruins. If I lived in Britain, I would definitely visit it.
My first thought with your visit to the large garden center was all the small businesses shut down by such corporate endeavors. Thank you for restoring my faith in individuals and a community which supports their loves and beautiful shops and eateries. I love sharing your visits, a world away but close to the heart!
You visited the new garden I am making at 24.28 - would have loved to have shown you around. My house is on the lane up to the castle. Thank you for showing Montgomery in such a good light!
Cymru is lovely everywhere you go :) I hope it wasn't closed due to the recent scandal with the Post Office. The etching is interesting and colours and furnishings are as well. I love the bit of stained glass. Lovely little town to explore :) I hope to visit one day :) very inspired :)
