I hate this subscription crap. Why can't I just pay for it? A friend of mine is letting me use their Rush, but I am interested in Premier Pro. I'm probably going to end up going with Final Cut X because of this. One price and I'm done.

This definitely helped a lot! I recently moved from PS4 to PC and was completely lost in what to use to edit my videos since I use to just use the Sharefactory on PS4 to edit and upload my videos (which tbh, was actually really good). I think I will definitely start off with Adobe Rush first then work my way up to Pro once I feel I'm more comfortable with it!

Hi there. Let's say that I I'm going to shoot video with an Iphone 12 pro and stabilized gimble. I may even shoot with my DSLR. Then I'm going to create transitions, maybe some text, reduce noise, deal with the standard color and contrast settings such as vibrance, color correction and sharpening. And this end product will be delivered to a client in resolutions anywhere from 1080 to 4k. What would you suggest I do? I have no experience with video editing software but I am a professional photographer with the Adobe photography package.

I have two 4k videos of 16 and 6 GB each. When I add them to a Rush project, add music, and output, the merge video is only 6GB even if I specify 4k output. The largest file I got was to use typical RUclips output, which is 4k, and it is 16GB. The comparison shows that neither output video has the same clarity as the recorded video using DJI action 5 pro 4k. Do you know anyway that I can get the same clarity? I suppose that is when the being merged files are about the same size as the output file. Or Rush will just muddle the videos to some extend no matter how?

I keep trying to get the hang of Premiere Pro but its so much frustration when I do so. I end up switching back to rush and have it done so quick. Its rarly I want to do something in Rush that I cannot do. Its probably a dozen tools I wish Rush would do. I feel like the software is so unrelated as even simple tasks in Premiere I have to watch a video to find out how to do it. Gonna keep trying to get the hang of Premiere Pro hopefully I will get there. Stabilization is probably the #1 thing I wish Rush had some sort of.

What got me to my decisions was first and foremost the cross platform and the way he describes the user friendly and the technical aspects of the matter.
For beginners and understanding video editing basics and getting the knowledge for it, starting with Rush is a no brainer.
I'm definitely going to start with rush and get to know the basics before I get overwhelmed and frustrated. You won't be any better without the knowledge starting with a complex system that you can't navigate in time of need. Start slow and go strong. Work smarter, not harder. I'm going to learn from my mistakes and listen to the wiser, Thank you @SoulOfTech for a great comparison video.

Decided to boot up rush for a basic edit to try it. It's painfully simplified in my book, but the biggest issue was that preview wasn't working. I'm sorry, but if my preview isn't working on my first experience, I don't want to use your shitty software. I get that's dev work, not the features, but this thing is just a waste of hard drive space. It runs worse than premiere pro (a feat in and of itself) and had no real purpose!

if you are a vlogger the only thing interesting about premiere pro is the stabilization function 😂😂

See, finding yourself on google is how you learn. I learned all my software by google and breaking shit. It's just how you learn. Hell, back in the day, you didn't have google. Just breaking shit. Learn premiere. It's not that hard once you know what everything is, what it does, and where to find what you need. And you can edit things super easy. I'm not even a long time premiere user (maybe a year since I decided to learn it because, while I liked vegas pro, it crashes more than premiere these days (somehow) and premire is a good thing to know), but I can bang out a quick joke video in 5 minutes.
