I don't see what's so bad about comparing bands. it's not like saying "tame impala reminds me of cream and the doors" is an insult and the world is going to stop spinning. I love tame impala, and i'm glad they're bringing back the goods.
Yeah I’m tired of the pop. Currents was pretty good but the slow rush was well he fell and became a sell out. It’s sad but it happens. Luckily there’s still the Perth Australia and California psych rock bands coming in fresh

Juan Carlos Rivera sold out? Nah lmao. Lonerism is by far my favorite album by Kev, but the new stuff is still really good imo. I just don’t like the single “Patience”. Prolly the only TI song I don’t like. If he continuously made this kinda music then nobody would still listen due to the repetitiveness.
There is definitely a late 1960's early '70's under tow going on with Tame Impala. But, I wouldn't peg them as any previous band. Tame Impala seems to have established their own style .
I know dude it sounds nothing like the doors. if anything it sounds like Deep purple or Cream....But They're the Tame Impalas. old souls with a classic sound. So glad I discovered them

@@peanutbutter9345 exactly, if it weren't for Let it happen, I wouldn't have discovered him, and my pretty most people only discovered him through Currents
a lot of their early demos could definitely be said to be very similar to certain bands, albeit with the Tame flavour. This one for example recalls Cream for me... BUT, to say any of the stuff they have released in their LPs is the same as the Beatles, Cream, Can etc. is ludicrous.
I don't think this was ever played live in a band setting. It only exists as an early demo on Kevin's old MySpace, which he used to attract attention to record labels, eventually. He about gave up before Modular approached him. Of course, he lied and said " We're a band".
Sounds like Cream, Beatles, Doors, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath all at the same time! Unbelievable.
Listen to Dee Dee Dums(tame impala before they became what we know) they basically Black Sabbath with a touch of Wolfmother.
+Shaonli Nath no they sound like tame impala
+Shaonli Nath sounds simply like tame impala ;) :D
yeeeeea, Kevin is a just a genius
How bout....sounds like Tame Impala bc. .well shit...it IS Tame Impala

for me it's Supertramp + the 1st album of Deep Purple (Shades of Deep Purple) + a bit of the Beatles' psychedelic phase
People that say good music is dead have not been paying attention
NOTABLE.....sin duda el mejor grupo de lo que va de este siglo.......
all of kevins music is amazing and i love him.

The earliest written song released under the tame impala alias
la primera canción de tame impala?
unas de las mejores para mi gusto
Guitar treatment sounds so much like Cream. And also vocals, like Jack Bruce of Cream.
I love everything about Tame Impala, they are so amazing ♥♥
I can really see this song being in a Quentin tarantino movie.
asd ed WOAH I listened to their EP recently and thought the same thing as I played this song on repeat.
+asd ed finally someone! for instance, the very pulp fiction scene when Butch is leaving with his girl on a motorbike
+asd ed or when Django and dr Schultz are horseback riding with the pastoral scenery behind them
