Hellblade with headphones was one of the best experiences I've ever played I cannot wait for this to drop. She nailed everything about this role

@@feelsgoodman420 I thought it was good combat. It's the long puzzles that brought down the game. But from what it looks like, you're trying to start a hate train.
I don't get the fuss about the audio. - They might have recorded using special techniques, but to me it just sounded rather plain. I like the sounds, but nothing of that binaural stuff for example was effective. - And no, it's not my setup. - The sound is just alright to me, the visuals are only good as well, not great. (Though it helps a lot to set it to a higher resolution than 1080p to compensate for some horrible textures in there. Unreal Engine really isn't that pretty.)
@@praisethesun6078 - The combat is very basic, but serviceable. It's not good by any means, but it's not an action-game, so I don't really hold that against the game. - The puzzles are absolutely annoying though. Not because they're difficult, but just obtuse and asinine. - One time, I seriously couldn't find a thing, and while I usually don't look anything up, I just had to, because I was walking back and forth in the same small area while running out all of my patience, of which I have a lot. - So I paused the game to tab out and look up where to find whatever thing it was (I guess it was one of those things you had to line up or whatever). But when I found it in a guide, then went back into the game, the screenshot was basically exactly where I left the game. It was right in front of me and I couldn't see it. - That's not on me, I have a great eye for detail, but that was just so asinine. I actually raged on the inside, and I don't rage at games. I'm a "shrug it off" kind of person when it comes to losing games and such. But these "puzzles", they ruined the experience, and that was just upsetting and disappointing. - I really hope that stuff is either removed or improved for this next game. - Oh, and yea, it didn't help that Senua's movement-speeds were either a lazy walk or a casual jog (apart from the scenes where you actually had to run from something). - If those things weren't that way, you could finish the game in possibly hours less.
I am so excited for this game. The first one was so emotional. Such a unique experience that everyone who appreciates games as art should experience themselves.
Melina is unfairly attractive. I don't just mean her looks. Her personality is so genuine and you can tell how much she loves what she does. She pulls you in with her smile, but you want to stay to just be around someone like her.
I love her energy. You can tell she's living a dream. Props to the guy too.
She is fantastix. Love her positive energy. You can see she loves what she is doing. 🎉❤
Melina Juergens' first acting job was Hellblade 1. She was a video editor/producer in Ninja Theory. First she was a stand-in, and then she was asked to be the face of Senua i.e. the franchise in whole. This is just impressive since it's her first role, and she did such a good job that she won the Best Performer of BAFTA Game Awards! That's pure talent. Anyway, Hellblade is a fun game.

Bandai Namco owns the rights to Enslaved so unfortunately that probably isn't gonna happen
It was a really good game, but it didnt sell enough copies to want to make a sequel. I really enjoyed it and it was really cool that Mose from Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide was the main character
This game being exclusive is the reason I bought an Xbox for the first time ever. So stoked for this game
First game was such a special experience. In retrospect I am here looking at myself in the past going: "did I REALLY have the pleasure of experiencing that by my own?" - and I did! Playing the game, so special, and then learning about who Melina is all the way to her winning the award for best performance - life defining for me. I was born in 1984 and videogames have been a huge part in my passion about being alive. This game was a new high point in that, a VERY BIG high point in that. I cannot wait for the next one. And honestly, ever since the cat is out of the bag on who Melina is, it's that much special to me. Millions of "ordinary" people have passions and unfortunately they cannot bring them out - but you can totally relate when you see someone who does.
@Melina I'm from Portugal and I felt your performance in the first game: it touched my soul. I cannot wait for the next game, but also I want you and all the team to have the necessary time to bring to life all that you wish. Just cheers and huge thanks for impacting my life.

@@georgeberthiaume4496 😂 so now you think I’m a Sony pony because I think it is silly for someone to say, prior to the game even releasing and them having played it, that Starfield will be GOTY? 😂 Get real kid! I am an Xbox fan and I am optimistic that Starfield will be everything promised but it has to deliver upon release not now! As for Hellblade 2 that is far far away and I have genuine concerns as to how performance will hold up on Series consoles so let’s wait and see.

@@feelsgoodman420Well they said that they've worked A LOT in the combat for the sequel, we're still to see any of it on trailers but I enjoyed the first one and I'm sure that I'll enjoy the second one.

Im so curious to know what the chanting shouts were about in yhe background. Esports? I know that during the IGN studio live interviews they could often hear the Starfield presentation music and reactions.

Honestly, I didn't really play much of the first game but I plan on fully completing this one just based on how insane the graphics are.
The graphics are great on the first. It's on gamepass story wise you should really play the first.
I hope we get gameplay and release date at the Game Awards this year. This is the next 1st party game in line.

@@bbbazzingapeople underestimate just how much better the asset quality has become. As well as the amount of content needing much more audio.
The more they don't talk about gameplay, the more I begin to worry, I'm sure it'll be a great experience but its still a game with gameplay, right? Has that been improved? What can gamers expect in the gameplay department?
I think that a hellblade 2 is so weird. The original game seemed to be an experiment to use atmos to convey the feelings of a person who has a fragmented mind and how she could work her feelings through the process of overcoming her grief. It was a joint project with psychologists to convey empathy for people with mental disorders. This sequel feels more "videogamey", I dont know if it is trying to say anything.
I honestly played because unreal engine 5 and the graphics. That was the best part of the game undoubtedly but that about it.
I don’t have high hopes I’m afraid. I just think performance is going to be pretty terrible using Unreal 5 on the Series X and S.

It worked well in what game? Look at Immortals of Aveum, shocking performance. Hellblade 2 is going for even greater graphical fidelity. The trailers they have shown thus far have seen multiple screen tearing, low frame rate and choppiness so far - and that is supposed to be showcase trailers! I really loved Hellblade 1 and I really hope Hellblade 2 pulls it out the bag but as early adopters of Unreal 5 and the really terrible way the industry is getting to grips with it, I have very low levels of optimism I'm afraid. @@ktdagoat1289
I just hope this follow-up will be more engaging than the first, because it really didn't do it for me, as much as I wanted to love it. - It has its moments, but there's too much gameplay-wise that hold it back, and it's also very much overrated in terms of the visuals and sounds. - People act like they've delivered work above their level or something, the whole "AAA-quality from a AA-studio" thing, but it's really not the case. - I'm just being honest. It has significant issues that people just choose to ignore. - I feel 'Heavenly Sword' was a much better overall game they did and that was a decade earlier. - Hopefully they can get "Hellblade 2" more like that. Not necessarily with the same gameplay and the over-the-top action, but just more fleshed out.
I'll agree. Didn't play the first game for more than 1.5 hours. It had too much "movie game" vibes. Hopefully, this game has some genuinely scary encounters. That giant from the original footage I saw looked legit terrifying. Hopefully the dread can carry into the gameplay like it did for me in games like Evil Within.
