Building a Bed with DIY Rattan Headboard for My First Time!!!

Things are looking a little bit different lately and as person who typically goes into stores to grab my items, that is not something I can do at the moment. Shoptagr has shown me a new way to shop and shop smarter during this time! Makes me happy knowing I can continue to update my spaces but also get notified on items coming back in stock or going on sale which I typically don’t get in store. Now all I need is to install some hardwood floors xx.
It’s so rad to be in a community of such badass broads building all the things all the time that it inspires you to challenge yourself to level up. This was scary for me but I am so pumped on the outcome of my first bed.

I'm a decorator, in Canada, Love the entire room EXCEPT for that Nike blanket! Squish it up so that you see the colours but not advertise for them. Unless they're paying you?? If you look at the photos of your room, you eye is drawn to that blanket NOT the head of that gorgeous new bed! You BUILT IT!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏😁😀😄🥂

Made the same bed following their free instructions. Very easy build for a first time woodworker. I don’t have a table saw so opted not to rip any of the boards down and it still worked out amazing with a little tweaking.
Also, copped your floating bedside tables and stained to match the bed. Really enjoy your DIYs!

years ago when my cousin started med school she moved into a really small flat near her university and she had a really narrow room so we decided to DIY a bed that would fit perfectly in there, none of us had any clue, none of us probably ever held a drill in our hands, but we went to home depot and bought a crapload of wood and just wung it without even looking at any tutorials. it's been years and it still looks and feels absolutely great. building a bed really isn't rocket science, just wing it guys! (obviously this is done more professional and the headboard is gorgeous (even tho I would be anxious about moving a lot in that bed if you know what I mean) do you won't get such a beautiful result but really, go for it guys. this room is absolutely gorgeous and I adore your style!!

Love love love this makeover! I'm very picky with styles but loved everything about this design. Perfect mix of boho and a cleaner chic with just enough personality yet not overwhelming the space allowing guests to feel comfortable. Very well executed!

Soooo happy you weren't able to put the lights through the rattan, I gasped when I saw you about to do that, I think it would have ruined it and the look. Lights above the bed look way better and the headboard remains the show piece. Great Job!

Just wanted to let you know since I noticed the board tearing up when you drilled it, you can put painters tape over where you plan to drill it and then drill through it, then pull the tape off, and you won't get the face of the board tearing up, like it did at 13:17. It would also be helpful to drill a pilot hole first. I hope that makes sense. Love the bed!

I appreciate how you shoot your videos and don't wave the camera around. Just saw a different room makeover video that has the camera showing the room then back to the person's face then back to another part of the room. Am currently nauseous from that. Anyways I've seen some of your other videos and it has inspired me to change up the look of my room and gives me the urge to decorate with a lot of plants :)
