So happy for you! Greenhouse is looking awesome! Thank you for sharing your tomato varieties and the lovely "goatie" walk! Blessings on your growing season Kiddo!🌻🐛Carolyn in Ohio 🌿
Hi, for my experience, tomatillos in a greenhouse can get more than 8 feet tall if you don’t control it. And if there is to many branches with fruits, the fruits tend to be smaller. Be sure to put support for the fruits branches, they will almost break under their weight
I'm so excited you are trying the Black Krim!! You have so many varieties this year. I look forward to seeing if you have any new favorites. Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!🙏❤
I love planting time!!! This year I started a paper garden journal, I draw diagrams of the beds and what I planted. Then on the same page, I write down where I got the seeds from.
I didn't want to mess up the bed potentially, I'm not sure how the tape would react with the paint and I'd love these beds to last as long as they are supposed to!
Wonderful to see Talia looking better and Elsa looking like she's been there always (fitting in so well). Of course, watching the youngsters hopping around is ever the treat, too! Funny about the Malabar Spinach: You're growing that and I chose a "Strawberry Spinach" as a heat-loving substitute for spinach this year. I had considered Malabar, but have a limited trellised space, so might try it NEXT year depending on how it goes. I agree with the "Brandywine" varieties - here we've noticed they also seem to be less hearty than other heirloom or hybrid tomatoes. I am so happy you chose to share this with us today - Thank You!

North NJ here, we just got all our heirloom tomato plants in over the past few days. This year we are growing pink beefsteak, Black Krim and a Beefsteak. We save our seeds. Hoping to get our striped roma and san marzana's in later this week. My favorite Black Krim is my all time favorite for BLT's. This is my first year growing San Marzana. Been growing the striped Roma for about 10 years now and they are an indeterminate and last year grew to over 12 foot tall and just loaded with tomatoes.
Black Krim is my favourite beefsteak, and Brad Gates has an open pollinator cross of it called Brad's Black Heart that I grew out here. Both seriously good. The hairs on the tomatoes are not what create the roots, they are what make your hands green/black with acylsugars that are protective secondary metabolites. They are also what make me hate the smell of tomatoes, but some, like my Son love them. If you can get a hold of Stabilo permanent black marker pens, they are pretty good for tags. That's what I use. The other colours don't last, but the black is pretty sound. Your Tomatillos are going to make plans to take over your world in there! I grew two in the space Jed and I just created the new no dig bed a few years ago. It measures 6x5 foot and they took it over lol Mind you, I wasn't mad, they make the most amazing green chilli.

Do you normally use Trifecta for your plants? When you planted that tomato plant with the tomatoes that stay green, it reminded me of my first adult home and my garden when I was 18.
