To be honest, I’m not really feeling this one. Maybe it’s the Awkwafina fox’s odd design, maybe it’s the fanfic-esque plot maybe it’s both, maybe it’s something else entirely but there is something about this one that doesn’t sit right with me.
I don't know I feel slightly disappointed by this trailer I'm still keeping my hopes up because DreamWorks has been doing pretty good stuff recently and the Kung Fu Panda franchise is always pretty decent but I can't help but feel slightly let down by this trailer
@@lavendercoffee7037 In all fairness, literally all Kung Fu Panda trailers have sucked Seriously, I know it’s been like 8 years since the last one but go check out the old trailers for Kung Fu Pandas 2 and 3. The Kung Fu Panda 2 trailer shows Shen in like, one shot, and then the rest of it is wacky shenanigans with a licensed rock song in the background
I was worried that we wouldn’t see the furious 5 but they announced that they r going to be in the movie, and they also said that they didn’t want to spoil sum characters we might know
here's my assumption kung fu panda 1: tests po's strength kung fu panda 2: tests po's emotion kung fu panda 3: tests po's spirituality kung fu panda 4: tests po's intelligence kung fu panda 5: tests po's compassion kung fu panda 6: tests po's sexuallity kung fu panda 7: tests po's fatness kung fu panda 8: uh i don't know a twist villain mr ping kung fu panda 9: generational trauma kung fu panda 10: po fights aliens kung fu panda 11: po grabs a gun and kills people gruseomely like the punisher and deadpool we're gonna give it an r rating kung fu panda 12: po gets the symbiote kung fu panda 13: po becomes darth vader
I still see Kung Fu Panda 3 as the final movie instead of Kung Fu Panda 4. Po is meant to become the Dragon Warrior and it is Po’s Origin story. I still see a “Furious Five” prequel movie. Seeing Po continuing his first appearance in the background while the Furious Five movie starts.
My gripe with the movie is. It feels like po won't really have any real conflict or character in this and any conflict he will have will be something he already had in the previous movies
I feel a bit disappointed, not animation wise, but in some other aspects, like the characters we lost, like the furious five being gone for some reason, and apparently we will have some random side characters like the Bunny Kids, and that gives me Raya and the last dragon vibes with the random side characters from each tribe, and the villain's power just sounds like a weaker version of Kai's powers. Kai could summon multiple masters, and he became stronger with each master. He turned into the jade things, and then this villain can somehow take other masters powers and also turn into them, but they can only turn into a single master at a time. That just sounds weaker than Kai.
They are in the film they've just not been shown in this trailer yet. If you look at the cast for kung fu panda 4 the voice actors are there. If shifu is in it they will be too.
I think the trailer suceeds greatly at setting a tone for the film, carried mistly by great gags, epic music, and just seeing some of these beloved characters. There are some red flags though, I was glad to see i wasnt the only one to double-take at the moment at 8:21 something about it just struck me as Nicelodeon's Kung Fu Panda show. I think the canera work and blocking + staging that this series used to be so great at might have possibly taken a turn for the worse. The lack of the furious five could be excused with a story beat about them all going on their own personal journeys, which i think could help sell me on Po needing to do the same. I lobe the first two and i havent seen the third, i was sure that it would never live up to the second one and passed on it, but I might go watch this for fun
I like this take, you seem pretty level-headed about it. Like it could be good, could be bad, could be meh, but it’s at least somewhat interesting right?
I mean I agree, don’t let anyone stop you, but I don’t think we’ll know until the movie actually comes out. I’m usually wrong when I comment on trailers anyway
@@lavendercoffee7037 Nah it's okay it's just how fans are, they just take one look at the trailer and start disliking it; Like the FNAF movie's first trailer for example: they wanted to change the eyes, and when comes to toxic fans they would just dislike it and me I just say “what's wrong about it” and the movie will be delayed when it comes to fans hating the trailer and would make producers delay it.
Everyone complaining "where is the furious five 😢😢😢😭😭😭😢' need to do more research other than look into the trailer. It's confirmed they are coming back for a bit and they are going on their own individual missions for a bit. Honestly I enjoyed this trailer and am hyped. Titles like this also ruins the hype for the movie not gonna lie 😐
I mean fair enough, I should have seen that they were in the movie. Don’t let the title ruin ur hype tho, it’s kind of just a catchphrase and I didn’t put a huge amount of thought into it lol

Po’s sexuality is prob noodles🤣
It looks like it's turning into ice age with this kind of jokes and new character designs.
That’s a good way to put it
tai lung should be dragon warrior. if that rabbit becomes dragon warrior no fans will be happy
That could be cool! Like he learns his lesson and gets a cool redemption

I’d love to see a furious five spin off!
I agree. While 3 is the weakest in the trilogy, it’s still a great ending. Kung fu panda 4 is clearly out of ideas.

Same tbh
I haven’t seen that reported by any mainstream media, but I have seen others corroborating this so I hope it’s true!
For some reason, I feel like wanting to rewatch the trilogy again
