    I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you focusing on something other than balls and geckos. I mean they’re obviously cool, but man there’s so much these shows offer that never get the time they deserve.

    • @MikeTytula
      @MikeTytula  Год назад +4

      Totally agree, and that is why I make these kinds of videos... I would rather people learn/see some other species that deserve more attention.

    • @Melisski
      @Melisski Год назад +1

      I’m a newbie to the hobby and went to Tinley for the first time on the 7th, and my retinas were basically burnt out by the monotony of ball pythons there, and I love ball pythons.

    • @tanneradams20
      @tanneradams20 Год назад +1

      @@Melisski it’s the fad and they’re easy. I get it, but there are way more options for beginners that a lot may never get to experience because the market has become saturated.

      Ya there was more this year than there was last year! But that is why I tried to get footage of more than just ball pythons!@@Melisski

    I love that you focused on the unusual finds rather than the billion balls 😅 I love ball pythons but 90% of our local expos are ball pythons and it just gets repetitive

    • @MikeTytula
      @MikeTytula  Год назад +3

      Ya that is what all reptile expos are. I get it, but for those of us that aren't into ball pythons at all.... I would be looking for a video like this one too haha.

      Of course that is the goal with my videos showcase the rarer and less often seen animals. Cresties and ball pythons are great and all, but I'd love to see people start to move away from them and enjoy some of the other incredible herpetofauna the hobby has to offer.

    Thanks for sharing. Love seeing the animals. I hope to go next year. Did they auction off the AnimalConUSA23 autographed schedule? I worked really hard to get everyone's signatures lol. It definitely had me crying watching this. The love from the reptile community is like no other. Like today on Brian's video, the sculpture Jay got outbidded on. He talked them into donating it to the new Legacy Aquarium. Was a giant leopard gecko. Again ty for sharing. Great video 💚🪖

    Im jealous with the amount of reptile expos you guys have over there.
    In the UK they've become very rare all because of the PRAS interference.
    The 90s had shoes like this every month without fail & now they're very far & few aftech.
    It's a shame as I used to always spend a ton of money at these expos.
    Wish there wasn't so much interference from animal liberation services, they do my nut in.

      Great video but I kind of agree this that guys comment. I think it’s cool to get breed some nice traits and what not but when it becomes a detriment to the animals I think it’s bad. For example intentionally breeding albinos which have poor vision or are blind, can get sunburned, and generally live a shorter and shittier life. Also that crested gecko you were showing I saw another video where the owner said all the other babies from the pair die for whatever reason.
