  • My shop rental in Barrow-in-Furness Cumbria UK.
The last tenants moved on so now I can't take a mortgage as there's no proof of income to show to the bank so I'm going to have it valued and sell it on.
it's probably worth £43,000 to £53,000 but let's see what happens,
I have no plans to give it away for a little price I know that.

As populations go down throughout the world this story will become more and more common. Towns will become desolate and remaining people will probably move to urban centers like London. People just aren't having children.

    Hi dear friend
You'll have nicer weather tomorrow and the following days
I know Cumbria and Northumberland and the countryside is magnificent.
    Such a sha
me having to sell the property .It looks fairly new..I would be happy to live in that town if there is a bookshop.I don't mind a quiet place,I prefer it.
I hope the sale goes well.
You don't say anything about the flight.Could you sleep?
How is the Darjeeling tea?And the breakfast cereals?
Looking forward to your vids from dear England..

You say 'Barrow is going down' ,I thought, like Diego Suárez.
If I were you I would try to rent it..and then remortgage..
Pity to do away with property and I read the auctioneers will poket some money..

I have put it for sale on the open market at £59,950 I will give it some time to sell with an estate agency as I'm not in a rush to sell at auction and lose potential profits.
The flight was a good one with no problems I watched films and slept, the airport in Ethiopia was expensive at $25 FOR A Burger King meal, $6 for a small bottle of beer.
Yeah Barrow is exactly the same as Diego Suarez but colder

@@passivenomads That's my man.Trying the open market first,as you say there's no hurry..You are moving so quickly, visiting your properties, getting your properties ready..I guess getting up early pays off.But pls buy gloves, woollen scarf,a hot water bottle for your bed..You sound as if you had already caught a cold.
You can drink hot milk with some whiskey or brandy just before going to sleep..The following days are not going to be very sunny.
I read that Halifax is offering 5 years fixed rate mortgage at 4,8% ..I think is a good thing shopping around, you can search it in the internet.
When I got my present mortgage I got it from Barclays and I persuaded them to improve their offer..You can be persuasive if you decide to be.Tell a Bank you have a very good offer from another Bank, that might make them change their mind.Say you are not allowed to say the name of the Bank...

Ethiopia has gone a long way from their Marxist regime in their 70's and 80's....Those prizes for McDonald and a tiny beer (many birr).
I know where I' m going to start a subbusiness inside the airport.I can get the zebu meat and the THB on a secret cache fright on the plane when coming from Mada..

@Terrapin Alive there is a lot of opportunity in Barrow but I'm not interested in doing property here I don't have the time to buy and fix them up I will sell it and reinvent the cash elsewhere

If you going to auction it, why clean it? I figure the people bidding on it would know it's value regardless of the rubbish. That's what people do in America.

do the bank want evidence of the full years rent getting paid by tennant or are they happy with the latest 3 months? i.e. would you need it rented for 3 months before you could apply for remortgage or have to wait a full year?

    • @passivenomads
      @passivenomads  Год назад +1

I could get a lone with just 3 months rent but there's a few reasons I don't won't to from the high likely 6% rate to the lone fees at 3% it will push me into the 40% tax bracket, I won't to get out of Barrow not have more connections.
On top of that Barrow is having problems with shops being empty.

the trouble is with these old houses is that the council will force you to update them to become net zero compliant, and that would cost more than they are worth.@@passivenomads
