Kinda but most sellers are either Christian or Hindu or Atheists Indonesian selling non-halal food wearing tudung/hijab. Even in Indonesia, selling pork satay wearing hijab is normal. Sorry, you're right, but need more facts check.

I really love it when travel vloggers explore different food cultures for people's dietary preferences, even if they don't follow them. Thank you! We appreciate it very much.
Happy to see there is no sorrow in Taiwan in April 2020. People can still having yummy food and fresh air. LuknSab, happy to see you in perfect condition. Many thanks for this kind of journalistic report on cuisine.
This video is very helpful for Muslims to get halal restaurants. Especially now that Muslims are celebrating the month of Ramadan, very pleasant. Thank you very much for making a video like this. Lovely 💓
Hi Luke, thanks so much for posting this video - it is so helpful! As an avid muslim traveller, often it is a challenge to find halal food in non-muslim countries. Videos like this really make my life, and I'm sure many other muslim travellers' lives, so much easier. All the food looks absolutely delicious! As an Indonesian myself, I was unaware of how much Indonesia was represented in Taiwan.
paksuman62 Because we have been confronting China for a long time, our government and people do not believe any words that China says. When China says everything is fine, we know that it must be shit
Dennis Chu 1. Taiwan’s aboriginal population is Austronesian. The aboriginal people from Hawaii, the Philippines, New Zealand, Indonesia, and Madagascar are Austronesian people. The most adopted theory of the origin of Austronesian people is actually TAIWAN. At least check google or wiki. I don’t think Tsai would say Taiwanese aboriginals are from other places. 2. Tsai herself happens to be 1/4 aboriginal from her Paiwan grandmother. 3. Most people in Indonesia are Austronesian people. Indonesia is also the country with most Muslim population in the whole world. Also, there are about 275,000 Indonesian foreign workers in Taiwan in 2019. 10k Indonesian students studying in Taiwan. 4. Taiwan’s “local” Muslim population are mostly Chinese Muslims who came to Taiwan after 1949 with KMT. They are within the population of Chinese Mainlanders or Waisenren. The beef noodle shop is likely opened by someone with the background rather than Mainland Chinese who moved to Taiwan recently.
Hey, Luke and Sabrina. Thank you so much for this guide. This would definitely help me find Halal food in Taipei. Hopefully gonna get there soon. Be safe, and have great trips!

Hi Luke, I hope you are good and doing well. Your videos are keep us going in these lockdown days. Very refreshing and yummy videos. Lots of love from India. Thank you.
When I miss Taiwan, it is often a food memory that triggers the feeling. I love and miss Taiwan cuisine. Sharing a meal makes people like each other or as the feel closer with strong bond. Eating the same food leads to trust and cooperation because they feel closer with the feeling of intimacy among those eating together, share the experience with eating and drinking. Get away Corona Virus, I miss friends and family…
Thank you Luke Martin for the insight of the Halal Food in Taipei! Youre indeed unique and insightful to share hidden gems in every city you visited. Well done and I will add my Taipei to my next list of city since it is also have Halal & yummy food! May God Bless You, Pal.

I always love, love, your videos from the USA! Thank you Luke for presenting HALAL food ( my food domain ) but there is one problem is you are too late to make me enjoy it through the day because now it is Ramadan month for muslims, i.e. fasting month...
Yup. Most of muslim indonesians tend to close their food shop/vendor when it's ramadhan. Beside it's for Ramadhan it is also of course not worthy to sell when there is less seller. Only few of these Indonesian Muslims that still open in the day. Some even 24 hour.
The Indonesian restaurants near Taipei Train Station do not serve HALAL food and they are a little expensive too. The fried chicken store in Gongguan has delicious food, and there are three more stalls of HALAL food, one Turkish and two Pakistani food stalls in the same night market. There is another HALAL food store 15 minutes walk from the fried chicken store on tingzhou road.

For Luke and anyone else wondering about the bread in the beef soup, the best way that I have found to enjoy it is to take one of the pieces of bread in your mouth and then chew into it slightly, only then should you take an entire spoonful of the broth again and let it blend with the now opened bread, you will still have some chewiness and some denseness, but the bread itself will have soaked up even more of the broth from your mouth itself. The more you chew with every single bite will make it even more texture different than the last moment. Some people really enjoy the texture feel so they order things like this instead of noodles or rice. For westerners this can be considered similar to the way that crackers are used. Some people like to eat the crackers from the top of the soup very quickly while they are crunchy, and others will wait till they are slightly soggy and then let them kind of break up in their mouth instead.
I have been to Taipei in 2013 attending for a seminar/workshop. It was pretty hard for me to find Muslim food during that time.
