+DPunk if you only look to the hardstyle hardcore djs, you see hardstyle and hardcore is one big family :) especially many of the raw hardstyle and hardcore djs are good friends.. and of course there are hybrid acts like denekamps gespuis ( Angerfist, Crypsis, Dyprax and Bloodcage). rather hate on commercial house ;)
I think mostly I've found a a gradual slip from hardcore from the end of the 00's to a now monotonous slow paced thump kick which is uniform among 85-90% percent of the artists which is sad to see, hardcore will always be it for me hardstyle is one step closer to your house you speak off, commercialisation and conformity nothing more..
