Love this series. Great work I love it, so freeing and love the collage mixed in there as well. This is right up my alley. Just found your channel tonight.
Wow, Marabeth, this series on your art retreat is SO INSPIRING! I’ve slowly been working my way through your Botanicals and Landscape classes, and it’s all too easy to get discouraged or impatient with where I am in the moment. But seeing how your 15/14 challenge really opened up new avenues for you - it’s motivating me to keep going. I’m so glad you gave yourself the gift of this retreat, and are giving us the gift of watching how you are using the time. Thank you! Can’t wait to see Part 3!
It’s so rewarding to experiment-Last fall I felt pretty discouraged and lost, but I’d been there before and knew I would somehow figure a way through. I’m glad you’re finding inspiration in the retreat series. Honestly, I thought I would really enjoy it but I had no idea how many ways it would really support what I’m wanting to do.
Wonderful your new results and I am blowing away by the landscape in this video. Thanks for sharing. You are such a nice person Marabeth, always waiting for your next video ❤
Inspirational as ever! I recently got back into your 14/15 where I had some breakthroughs. This time I started by creating a compositional design in black acrylic (radial, axial, cantilever) then pursuing the rest of the experiment. I was blown away today as you have also started each experiment with a strong compositional design in charcoal. You’re affirming my new beginnings! Just thrilling.
I love hearing about your breakthroughs in the 14/15 experiment! After this period of deep diving into prolonged experiments, I’m a complete convert. And glad to hear you also love starting with those bold darks. I just love it.
Really love your work and processes!
Love the idea of a solo art retreat. Thanks for sharing your retreat with us!😍
I love this series and seeing your process during it. Can’t wait for part 3!
