Previous FSU Rho Gam here (GO NOLES and GO GREEK). We call it recruitment due to the stigma associated with the term "rushing". It used to be rush because sorority members would "rush" towards women coming off trains to convince them to join their chapter. Since the process has changed and become more formal, they changed the term to "recruitment" since they are trying to recruit you into their chapters. I believe the term "facility" comes from the idea that the chapter facility is more than just a house, but most people on campus call them chapter houses. And finally for the term "women" rather than "girls", its the idea that the term "girl" is associated with the lack of autonomy and can be used as a way to speak down to someone (like if you were to call someone "boy", it would be seen as speaking to them like a child), so using the term "women" is more associated with respect, independence, and intelligence. You may have used other terms that are unique to FSU, but these were all I could remember.

What made me happy today was having a good day and watching my favorite family on RUclips good luck to Brennan Katie and Caden at fsu
I unfortunately had no time to join a sorority, due to my school schedule. I started class at 8am, and did not completey my classes/labs/clinics until 6pm (and 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays). Plus community services on Saturdays. Plus working 20 hours part-time work, on the weekends.

With the many colleges they do have some of the craziest rushes and many students that have died from alcohol overdoses and a student that has died at penn state for the many parents is to check where your students where they stay at . The one call you dont want is that your student has died or overdosed from drugs or alcohol .

Hello all the way from Australia, thanks for explaining a little about the sorority, I was wondering if you can explain for the likes of us Aussies etc who have never had anything to do with that kind of thing before, what the benefits are of being in a sorority, like what do they do and I had no idea there was costs involved in it, could you Explain that too?

So like I know the main thing about finding a sorority is to have life long friends and experience, but is it really to find a place to live for the rest of the time you're in college?? I went to college but it was a commuter college so I didn't have to worry about that kind of stuff.

Long story short. Female student wants to join a club. The club decides if they want you in their club. Female student visits each club to see which club is the right fit. The club also looks at the female student to see if she is the right fit for the club. At the end of the week, female student is invited to join the club.
Not a cheap club. Bring money. Make sure parents have deep pockets.
Been in a sorority don't keep you far from university's facilities and clubs??

Usually colleges have specific dorms that are open for summer classes, and then dorms that students are assigned to during the regular school year based on grade.
The issue with Greek life is that if you look around, you usually only see white women. Something to think about

So what do you do in sorority once part of it? since Caden just arrived, I guess he isn't joining something like that? Would this mean outside of classes and homework, you will spend much of your time with the sorority - will that conflict with time with Caden? not sure how that works.
