I've watched your videos for so many years even though I'm a 24 year old vegetarian who lives alone. You just have such a lovely energy and I love to watch while I'm cooking or eating dinner alone
Lol. Another vegetarian here. I watch because my husband is a southerner and definitely NOT a vegetarian and won’t eat my food. I need ideas for him. He loves all of the meals I’ve made from Kristin’s videos. He definitely has the same tastes as her.
My husband was watching over my shoulder and said he wants the garlic chicken sandwiches because they look so good. I'll be making them for dinner tomorrow. :)
I’m a 25-year-old mama of 2 boys and I’ve been watching your videos for years! You’re such a bright light and I appreciate the dinner inspo for my little family!💛
I usually put the seasonings in the flour when I bread the chicken. It makes it much faster and not a lot of it is wasted. Thank you for another great video.
I’ve gotten those paste in the tubes. They are like super concentrated, especially the ginger and the Italian herbs. I usually use about half of what the recipe calls for. I think baby Bella’s are better for Italian seasoned recipes and for drier heating methods like oven roasting or air frying. For Asian style recipes I try to go for Asian style mushrooms like oyster, shiitake, enoki, etc. I take a tiny piece of plastic wrap and cover the open end of the tube before twisting the lid back on. It keeps fresher longer and keeps the threads of the cap from getting dirty or sticking like stuck toothpaste tubes. Love your channel!! Always love the lunchbox videos, the husband ones are my fave. I take my lunch to work every day and I’ve used tons of your ideas! Even got my own heated lunch box and mini crockpot after I watched how easy it was to keep the food hot. 😉☺️😊🤗
Thank you for the ideas. Cabbage is such an underrated vegetable, I love it & you can't beat the price. You pronounced miren correctly👍. See you next time.💟
I’m definitely putting that marry me chicken on my list! Quick cutting board tip - if you put a damp paper towel,or dish cloth under a cutting boar, it helps to keep it from moving around. I do it all the time. 😊 Thanks, Kristy for another cool video!
Yay! all of the dishes looked great! I think the corn dogs with homemade chili would be awesome for football season! your last dish, I like to do the kielbasa with potatoes, onions and cabbage! I brown the kielbasa, then cook the potatoes so that they brown some, then add the cabbage, I put the kielbasa on top of the cabbage so that it does flavor it somewhat, I just add a little bit of water and put a lid on it until everything is tender! It is one of the dishes that I make frequently in the winter! it is just my husband and I, but we both love it! thanks for sharing! xoxo
Great recipes. Revisiting this from last time I watched it bc I'm planning to make the merry me chicken tonight. Over angel hair pasta adding in some chopped kale from our garden.
Looks delicious! I recently learned that there is two types of sesame oil. Un-toasted which has a high smoking point. This type you could heat and then pan fry vegetables in etc.. Then there is toasted sesame oil that’s darker in color, that you can drizzle as is-over noodles, vegetables etc as a condiment if you will! Just a tip:) 💕
Love your videos so much! With the mushrooms, they cook a lot quicker than the other veggies so maybe throw them in halfway through..another idea is just stick with white mushrooms since Baby Bellas are more" meaty."
Kristen this is a spectacular video I am looking forward to making the garlic Parmesan chicken sliders with the Italian seasoning on top of the buns its definitely going to be a meal I make weekly or biweekly
I always enjoy your videos. I love mushrooms of all kinds. Maybe slicing them thinner might help. If not, no worries. They're not for everyone. At least you tried them. I'm not a huge fan of ginger so I ALWAYS go light if it's in a recipe, if I add it at all. Sesame oil is a pretty strong flavor as well. I didn't know that the first time I used it. Lesson learned 😉
MAYO, vinegar & sugar = MIRACLE WHIP That's what I use and all of my coleslaw pasta salad potato salads tuna salads (Less calories fat and cholesterol too)
I'm with you on mushrooms. To me they taste like dirt but mostly it's the texture of them. Those steak tips might would do better in the air fryer. Adding a little brown sugar will help them caramelize.
I used to love mushrooms until I developed an allergy to them..I miss being able to eat them. The chicken sandwiches are a great idea for this weekend!
Mushrooms are like cilantro. You either like them or hate them. I keep trying different fungi but I just don’t like the texture or flavor so I think I’ll give up after 60 years 😊
You and I have some of the same food tastes. I don't like onions or baby portabella mushrooms. And don't even get me started on the huge portobello mushrooms with the big gills. Never would try mushrooms as a child, I only tried them for the first time in my 30's. Only use white button mushrooms, and only like a few slices! Have never tried that marry me chicken recipe. Oh Yum to corn dogs!
Kristin, I am 99% vegetarian and you and your family are BIG carnivores; however, I still love watching your videos. Surprisingly, there have been recipes I was able to modify to my tastes. Plus, it astounds my (carnivore) daughter when I can suggest menu items to her 😂. The only thing I worry about is the amount of carbs in your planning. But, that's my problem. I am diabetic and have a heart problem so I count fats, carbs and sodium. Like I said, it's a "me" problem. Maybe I live vicariously through your menus. I still enjoy your channel mightily and wish you continued success!
Most margarines do spread better. It’s the plastics they put in it. And hydrogenated oils that clog arteries. Cardiologists say real butter is best and they got tired of scraping out arteries in the 70s and 80s from diets filled with margarine.
Enjoy it while you can....there's no way I could get away with 4 sandwiches for 4 ppl for dinner with a grown man and 2 teenage boys 🥴 ok well I spoke before I saw the triple carbs Hibachi uses a more tender steak like sirloin or filet plus soy sauce not all that other stuff
The State Fair all beef corn dogs are the only ones I can eat. I don’t like the hotdogs made from pork and chicken. I only eat Hebrew National beef hotdogs as well.

OMG SAME HERE! I’ve been here for years watching even though I’m a 24 year old vegetarian! Her videos bring me so much comfort! ❤️
I'm vegetarian as well and completely agree! She's lovely
I’m not vegetarian lol but I think it’s awesome in this day and age that you’re living on your own at that age. Everything is so expensive👏🏽👏🏽
Lol. Another vegetarian here. I watch because my husband is a southerner and definitely NOT a vegetarian and won’t eat my food. I need ideas for him. He loves all of the meals I’ve made from Kristin’s videos. He definitely has the same tastes as her.
me too a35 yr old that lives along andwatch these when eting my dinner xxx
When I make marry me chicken I put it over cheese tortellini, it’s so good!

Also please give yourself credit for the love you show your family through cooking😍
Perfect timing, watching as I finish up our meal plan for the next month. I would love to see a video how you decide what recipes to make.
That’s a great idea! ❤️
Like to see you take us shopping too.
@@KristinSteppI agree!!!!!
Change that vinegar to dill pickle juice game changer ... i make coleslaw the same way but with pickle juice
Wow that sounds good
Oh my goodness, you have unlocked something fabulous here, no doubt! Excellent tip!
For the steak bowls I’d recommend cooking the steak whole to get that hard sear on it, rest, then cut it.
I usually put the seasonings in the flour when I bread the chicken. It makes it much faster and not a lot of it is wasted. Thank you for another great video.
Added this video to my recipes playlist literally within the first 2 minutes. So much good stuff!

I feel the same way about mushrooms as you do onions.
Aldi sells the brioche slider buns, I bought some the other day 😃 love your videos!
I’ll have to grab some, thank you!!
@@bohemiantwilight7434 Hey BT! It’s so nice to watch someone who can cook and we want to make her recipes for our families!

I think I’m going to cook up the leftover cabbage like this
I have Marry me chicken on my meal plan for Sunday! It's always so so so good!! I always add fresh but frozen spinach to mine for.. health lol.
Having something over cabbage is such a good idea!
Wow! I really love the corn dog idea!! 😊
Mirin is really good mixed into scrambled eggs. Makes them sweet and savory. It’s a popular food in Japan
I’ve been wanting to try the chili cheese corn dogs, thanks for the reminder!
Thank you for the ideas. Cabbage is such an underrated vegetable, I love it & you can't beat the price. You pronounced miren correctly👍. See you next time.💟
I agree grated slaw is better than shredded bc it gets more 'sauce' on it. Everything looked great TFS!

Sesame oil is very strong a little goes a long way. I’d marinate the steak longer and slice super thin instead of chunks
It's your first shot! Don't give up. Now you know where to make it to your liking.

I really enjoy your video so much your presentation and the recipes are always on point! Keep them coming all of them I would make for my family!❤️
Awesome video Kristen 😊 I liked that you added mushrooms.❤
Yummy 😋 ideas Kristen!!
Great recipes. Revisiting this from last time I watched it bc I'm planning to make the merry me chicken tonight. Over angel hair pasta adding in some chopped kale from our garden.
I'm gonna try that sausage casserole!
Thanks Kristin. I love sun dried tomatoes too and I still haven't tried that recipe. I think I will have to make it soon!! Love your channel!

Yummy and on budget
I just got me some of those cooking chop sticks you're talking about yesterday! LOL I got two pair for $4.99 from amazon!
I can’t wait to make these hibachi bowls!!!
Ooooh I’m gonna make that sausage rice casserole for sure! Looks so good

Fun fact: white mushrooms and baby bella mushrooms are the EXACT same mushroom. Baby bellas are just more mature & thus more flavorful. 😊
Mushrooms r so bomb
I once found sun dried tomatoes at Dollar Tree if you can believe it. I agree with you they are good.

They have brioche sliders at Aldi 💛
I don't know what I'm making for dinner but I have a concept of a plan 😂
Sorry, I'll see myself out.
This got me. 😅 Thanks for the good chuckle!
The walmart bakery carries Marketside brioche slider buns. Just for future reference. ☺️☺️
You have the best videos. ❤
Awesome video
Omg that is genius. My son loves corn dogs and cheese Coney's from sonic. How about it corn dog coney . He will absolutely love that. Tysm
I love to slice the big Portobello mushrooms and batter and fry them. I don't care much for the baby ones either!! All of these look great¡!
Excellent video😊👌✌
For the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Sandwiches, it looks like it's a good thing you put it on top of the chicken mixture as did melt out a little bit.
Thanks for sharing the recipes that don't turn out great - that's how I roll! I always stick to the white mushrooms. Never tried the portobello
I'm with you on mushrooms. To me they taste like dirt but mostly it's the texture of them. Those steak tips might would do better in the air fryer. Adding a little brown sugar will help them caramelize.
I am the same way about those exact corn dogs and hot dogs haha. All beef only
I used to love mushrooms until I developed an allergy to them..I miss being able to eat them. The chicken sandwiches are a great idea for this weekend!
cool
Love the video can you tell me what the cutting board is you put the chicken on ?
Maybe the hibachi would have worked out better on the blackstone? I also don’t like mushrooms lol
WHY have I never thought of using my cheese grater for things other than cheese?!
I 💯 agree with you on the hot dog preference. All beef or nothing lol I can't stand the other ones...they taste like bologna to me 😅
👏🏼👏🏼
Just FYI raw ginger has an enzyme that will make your meat mealy if you leave it too long, it shouldn't be more than a 1/2 an hour to marinate.

They’re omnivore (meaning they eat meat and veggies). Carnivores eat only meat. 😂
Don’t feel bad for not liking the baby Bella mushrooms. I don’t like them either. I love white button mushrooms but that’s the only kind.
Try leaving the steaks hole let them rest and then cut them up.
Most margarines do spread better. It’s the plastics they put in it. And hydrogenated oils that clog arteries. Cardiologists say real butter is best and they got tired of scraping out arteries in the 70s and 80s from diets filled with margarine.
Next time don't use ginger and do it on the blackstone!!!! It makes a huge difference 😅 or use chicken!!!!
You did nothing wrong. I think white mushrooms are better because they are more soft and tender, too.
Enjoy it while you can....there's no way I could get away with 4 sandwiches for 4 ppl for dinner with a grown man and 2 teenage boys 🥴 ok well I spoke before I saw the triple carbs
Hibachi uses a more tender steak like sirloin or filet plus soy sauce not all that other stuff
💜🙏💜
The State Fair all beef corn dogs are the only ones I can eat. I don’t like the hotdogs made from pork and chicken. I only eat Hebrew National beef hotdogs as well.
Packs the whole kitchen for the husband for lunch but he gets a half of a small steak or half piece of chicken for dinner 🤔
Cooking chopsticks are just regular chopsticks. I bought 8 sets of chopsticks off Amazon that are made of reusable plastic.
The mushrooms looked wet in the video. Did you rinse them? -Kryste
Yes
@@KristinStepp Next time, try just wiping them off with a paper towel. They absorb water. 😊 -Kryste
Girl, i can't stand mushrooms either 🤢
