Excellent doco 👌
I just watched all 4 episodes. What an incredible documentary! Much appreciated. Sending gratitude from upstate NY.
Wow, thank you!
Just great days, Australia at its very finest. I was there. I wish those time would return
I just watched all four series. Excellent . I fished with my father from Port Adelaide to KI . Crayfish/shark (Pelourus). And the names and stories of early Tuna fishing He told was always fascinating and some good times He would say . Thank you Garry for your great work on doing this Doco. Cheers THOSE WERE THE DAYS.
Glad you enjoyed it
,,,,,,while I'm at it. The Tasei Maru, a 35 mtr Japanese Built Fresh-Chilled Longliner is currently for sale in WA. I skippered it before for 6 months myself. A real weapon. Ray has to retire. Keep it in WA with loads of quota, or export to the SW Thailand, where I know the right people. Thats why I'm here. Cheers. I was the Chief Engineer / Fish Dresser where we caught over 90 tonne of SBT off the Terminator, a 32 mtr Korean Built Longliner in 3 months out of Eden.
Hi garry , ive just watched all 4 in this series . I poled for only 1 year out of esperance and albany, in 1984- 85 . what a time and experience it was. i remember hearing the names of these sa boats on the radio at times . have you got a similar programme on the vic / tassie cray industry? my relatives were all involved fishing out of apollo bay
Can only imagine how much bait fish would have been around then, far outt
Hopefully the world learns from this and the tuna can rebound it’s pretty sad to be honest to see a species almost wiped out
