The amount of formula he receives is the only source of hydration he receives aside from her leftover Milk Plus which is laden with sugar, which will cause him to be thirsty. I've never seen him be given any vegetables or nuts. It's quite possible that he's very thirsty by the time she is through playing her control games and he's given the ounce of fluid.
