The people filming Candy knew that she couldn't make it in the wild because she wasn't raised there. They also knew that if they didn't help her and get her out of there that she was going to be killed. A damn blind man could have seen that, but I guess it was okay to let her suffer so that they could make money off of her!!!
The people filming were the ones who made her this way more than likely. They knew she would get more views if she was just a monkey with lots of issues. They knew she wouldn't survive but they didn't know how long she could so they just kept on filming until she died. They went and got another one to make this way or probably already had one.
Abandoned Candy never stood a chance at being a monkey. Over and over, and over again the troop tried to (often lovingly) teach her. Only for idiotic humans to consistently demolish her chances by throwing her that dumb blanket she hides under, separating her from the troop and any hope of appearing "normal" to the other monkeys. They were beyond patient with her constant extreme clingyness, psychosis, dramatics and CONSTANT squalling and squeaking. I heard a sad rumor that she was gutted and killed.
You're not the only person who talks about this monkey and what humans did to her to ruin her socialization. Where do you all learn about these details from? I have been trying to google sources and welfare groups but all I get are more videos like this on RUclips or Facebook. :\

She was a pet monkey that someone threw away…..she is having to learn the hard way because of cruel people that should not have had her…. Charges should be brought against people that throw monkeys away too soon that can’t fend for themselves……
Actually it's against Cambodia law to own a monkey there but haven't any cruelty against animals laws in that country. They know it a monkey trade going on but they don't enforce the laws.

She was a disaster and a risk for the troop and could never have lasted too long. She gave nothing to the troop not even grooming others. Her crying and clinging marked her for being attacked. And she was and died of her injuries.
It wasn't her fault. The very first time I ever saw Candy was about a month ago and I said then that the people that were filming her needed to get her out of the jungle because she didn't belong there. I also said that if they didn't help her that she was going to be killed...and they DIDN'T help her. I've seen them help other small monkeys that were not in good condition, so why DIDN'T they help her? They DIDN'T help her because filming her made them more money, so OBVIOUSLY they don't care about these little monkeys like they pretend to. It seems like all they care about is making money.
You have to be really cold hearted and frankly a pathetic example of a human being if you cant have a little sympathy for a young female monkey who has lost her mother and is trying to survive in a situation she has never been in before
