For Elvis singing was as natural as breathing. Often when recording a new song he would sing it perfectly, but if something wasn’t quite right, he’d do it again and again. But when you listen to some “First takes to master” recordings , Elvis is always on point. Sometimes after numerous takes, he’d opt to record the first after all. Such natural talent. Self taught and mesmerising. 👌💕🕺
Happy Sunday! When you hear Elvis sing Country it feels as if he was born to do just that! It’s uncanny how well he mastered each genre he chose to sing, as evidenced by his induction into 5 different Halls of Fame!
AMAZING CLASSIC 👏
So glad you played 2 versions of the same song! It’s a beautiful song and I had not heard Elvis sing this. As always his voice was amazing!
The "From Elvis In Memphis" album has amazing stuff -- I don't know when I've heard better work than from that album, much of which rarely gets played. If you type in the album title into google it will come up w-all the songs from it. Thank you again - have a pleasant week.
I agree-I listen to this album all the time! I like every song on it-it really showcases Elvis’s voice especially in the blues and country genre.
Elvis loved Anne Murray. She made this song famous.
Singer Anne Murray sang it and I’ve heard she was one of Elvis’ favorite singers.
You can find Snowbird on his I’m 10,000 Years Old Elvis Country album. ❤
Whoops 😂I posted while watching and you have it❤
Glad you decided on a studio version as well. An Anne Murry song from Canada which was a big hit in the US. Fond memories of Elvis's country album.
Anne Murray - our Canadian singer - was Elvis’ favourite female singer. This song was all over the radio in the 70’s
Love this song!! Thank you for reacting to Elvis' version!! ❤️
Lovely country song - sounds like he was enjoying himself and having a lot of fun - loved the original version as well 👑🎶
Morning from NY. Yes, Thursday the 23rd is Thanksgiving. Sorry but i didn't pick up what he said that you laughed at because i think you had said something at that moment. It wasn't an intimate concert
- it was his usual Vegas show that he did in the Main Showroom of the hotel. Don't know if you seen
"I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" where he walked through the audience kissing lots of girls/women - but that will give you an idea of the size audience & huge stage. Elvis was the only one who could do things like talk to the audience in the middle of a performance, or hold a song sheet because he was unsure of lyrics, or stop singing to do something or say something. I don't think anyone could pull off that type of thing but for Elvis it was very normal & natural. Thanks for a nice
Sunday morning. (Sorry if this looks strange -- I'm having computer issues.)
The Elvis Country Album has some great songs on it Nick, give it a listen.
On the strength of this one, will do!
Thank you! Better early than late! Song from Elvis' favorite female vocalist, Anne Murray from Canada.
I think the first person who ever sung that song was recorded by Anne Murray and yes it is a country song
You're right Thanksgiving is the 23rd here in the United States Happy Thanksgiving Nick
Elvis does a lot of country and later on, in the 70's he really gets into a little deep country.
Such an easy sounding song. Sounds like he’s enjoying himself while singing. He can sing any genre, any song and he’s fantastic. I’ve heard this recorded I believe. It doesn’t sound like the one I heard. Maybe I didn’t hear the live version. It was much clearer than this. 😊❤❤ Ahhh…. You found the one I was thinking of. Good for you. This was much clearer. 😊❤❤Thanks so much. 🙏🏼🙋🏼♀️🙋🏼♀️
Thank You for finding the album version of "Snow Bird" ❄️ I always enjoy Elvis Live but sometimes the Quality of the Live Recordings aren't the best. Please add this to your List:

Added! Thanks 🙏
You didn't ruin anythingand! Its fun to see that you enjoy the sundays!
The live version was new to me and therefore very interesting.
I love this song!
Thank you for another double Elvis sunday!💚☀️
Thank you! 🙏
First one sounds like audience recording. It was a huge hit for Canadian singer Anne Murray.
Lovley!❤
Love this song by EP....another one on my daily Elvis playlist. Brilliant 💯⚡❤
For that list ruclips.net/video/9lm5m0H0LQk/видео.html called "the sit down outtake" -- not the best film quality but at least all the songs are there -- others have improved picture quality but cut out a couple of the songs so it loses the full essence of the performance; sound is very good. 2 of his chains & tabs were ripped because he had gone down into the audience & said he'd never do it again. He was totally wiped out & needed to sit. (Not usually recommended -- a shame to overlook.) Thank you kind sir!
Great ❤
The song is one of the selections from "Elvis Country" back in 1971. That's a fabulous LP.
Anne Murray did this first. It was her first big hit. I went to one of her concerts back in 1971. The theatre was big enough, but there only about 50 of us in attendance. We clapped with all our might. And she responded with "My, you're a small but loyal group."
I found it funny in the live section before singing the song he said "God bless America and parts of China."
😂
That is on Elvis I love song Song there ain't a song of his I don't love
I really enjoyed hearing both versions. It is a song that I don't play very often, but is a country gem. Thanks for this great reaction. Elvis Sundays are fantastic!!❤❤❤
🙏🙏
The KIng!
Yes I understood is there any way you can do the song the sound of your cry
Never heard the live version before, interesting. Heard the studio version many times, but frankly, it just doesn't strike me as an Elvis song (Anne Murray recorded it originally, I believe). Just strikes me as a touch too "feminine" for Elvis. Not sure why.
As someone below says this doesn't seem a natural fit as a song for Elvis, although he can sing ANYTHING. I read that the first time he heard Anne Murray's version he kept playing it over and over so he obviously really liked it. I love hearing Elvis sing country which was one of his main influences from the beginning. What a talent ❤
This song was a big hit by the Canadian country singer Anne Murray, who was Elvis s favorite country singer. It s a pretty song..but, it doesn t do it for me..Thanks anyway...
Why is the sound like broken up?
Did you watch the whole video? I realised the first live version wasn’t great quality so found the studio recording also. One of the perils of doing a live reaction is that I don’t always know what I’m going to get 😳
