Actually the song reminds me a lot of Doja Cat "Say So" cos of that subtle funky disco-esque beat with her soft vocals (not saying that there's any copying or what, they are 2 different songs just with similar vibes!) Well I love the disco funky beats hehe

As usually Taeyeon always bringing something different to the table.
I'm glad you mentioned "LILAC" because that was the first thing I thought of when I first hear. Like a mix between that and Doja Cat & SZA's "Kiss Me More." Working in that same dreamy palette like those songs.
Melodic rapping like this needs to be more of a thing. There's so much of the talk-rapping thing in K-Pop (where it's not quite Watsky-esque spoken word either) to the point where it's overly ubiquitous and stagnates as a result. Like it's become a tick-box feature for cutesy concepts or an attempted "badass" (but not really) vibe. I just can't get immersed in the song if a group does a rap break and there aren't any emotions and dynamics behind it.
Def the kind of song that would instantly make u smile once it starts playing 💕💖💞💓

Heeeey I knew I wasn't the only one who thought it had the same vibe as Lilac! Of course they're totally two different songs and two different artists. I really love IU too. And it's amazing they released these songs in the same year. It's like getting two different flavors of the same candy. 💗💜
i doubt tiff's jelly because she said she doesn't really like pink that much anymore hehe. her liking pink, she said it had something to do about having her own distinct image iirc (although i can't exactly remember hahaha she explained it on MMTG)
She's only really rapped in two of her tracks: Eraser, and I Do.
Both are really good and I recommend the albums they're in (My Voice Deluxe Edition, and GirlsSpkOut).
