Hahaha.
Ian is the biggest bass nerd I've ever seen in my life. I love it!
🤓
Would def be a fan if you guys did more of these bass themed vlogs
Dear God that sunburst Jazz tone is EVERYTHING 😳
So many sweet sweet basses !!! BTW - Love the SBL pod and these style vlogs - great addition to the already awesome SBL platform - cheers mates !
I do like listening to Ian doing his stuff
Seeing Scott slap the bass is just so hilarious, I knew it was coming and it still kills me. I love slap but never took him to be that kinda guy
I just acquired a blonde ‘74 Jazz, all original parts, no refinish, with the original bill of sale from the single owner.
The owner had bought from a local licensed Fender dealer back in ‘74 (which is now closed), so it has some local history.
Needless to say, I love it.
Great vids Scott/Ian, I’ve been a long time watcher and fan! Keep it up. See you in the shed.
I am a bass player, who was also born in 1978!!!!! My 1978 P Bass, while not my fav, was a must as my birth year!
That stack-knob is insane.
YES
So happy that I found that one bass that I need way back in the 90s.
have no idea how you guys choose one bass to take home. All of them are amazing
Every time you set up these giveaways, I get completely stoked! I WANT that vintage P-bass, but any one of them would be totally amazing. Thanks for keeping the excitement.
It’s always so much fun & full of excitement for us bass players to go shopping,
it’s also fun watching you guys having fun, thanx for sharing
I thought Andy Baxter sounded familiar. A few weeks ago, I bought a 2022 Rickenbacker 4003 from his shop. What a treat to see him in a video!
Dude alert! 🚨🚨🚨
Just recently acquired a '79 Precision, which is older than me by several years. It is on the heavy side but it plays and sounds fantastic and has mojo aplenty. Can't put it down!
I bought @ 1980 Special, back in sept , they are heavy ,but great instrument.
I never have seen these kind of shops before. Guess I got to plan a trip to the UK!
Please make more of this bass shopping content!! Love it!!
That squirrel accelerator program sounds nice!
Can you do a top ten tool bass lines video?
I already own a '68 Jazz Bass, so I'll go for that 4005 Ric 😍😍😍
Scott, dig it, 54 Fender PBass AV2.
You gotta review it man.
That 78 J is just gorgeous 🥰
Got a black 72 Jazz from Andy a few years back. Growls as it should and is my #1 ever since!
Sounds tasty! 🤤
I like how the truss rod on that sunburst Fender Jazz sticks out like that.
🔥🔥🔥
I've got a Reissue of a 75 jazz bass and it's the love of my life
70s Jazz... Can't beat it!
I have the best bass ever. Geddy Lee Sig. Sunburst.
Would love to see you guys review an Antigua finish Jazz bass.
OK, A bit of a troll post but I love how they look.
OH IM DOWN
2:18 "I'm not gonna do it...." Ian's definitely gonna do it... Methinks he doth protest too much... 😂
In the late 90s I was given a loan of a 78 American fender jass bass with idea of buying it. He wanted £450 for it but I instead bought a 1990 warwick streamer II for £650. Although I love my warwick hardly a day goes by that I wish I bought the jass. Still love a jass bass..
Jazz, no "s".
Damn awesome lil trip!!!! Would love to see the b roll that ended up on the cutting room floor.
Ian, Scott and me all born in 78? And that is the bass I most want in the giveaway, too.
That yellow P bass is beautiful.
Oh my, I would cuddle with any of those basses but especially have a crush on the Fodera and Fbass, that masterbuilt PBass too eek!
Sooo much bass goodness in one room! 🔥🧡
1978 I was 11 Years old an litened to Boston Don’t Look back 👍🏼🤘🏼
That matching red headstock… 😮
I imagine that cost too much to even take off the wall.
Dude, your car is freaking sick! I'm a sucker for a BMW wagon 🥹🥹🥹🥹
There was a Rickenbacker 4005 in the back that you guys didn't even see!!!! This is sacrilege!
I would love a 1972 jazz bass 💯
Love Ian! Wish he lived down the road from me and we could hang and talk about basses,
Look at those RD artists 🤯
I miss owning a jazz bass, having a pbass with a jazz pup isn’t enough sometimes
Sick BMW Wagon
70s jazz for life!!
Wish you guys played that Rick 4005
So weird watching a RUclips vlog and seeing Soldier's Field where I played football when I grew up in the background 😆
Same mate. I went to roundhay high up there. Played footy for hours on the soldiers field. Alex T
Love this style of video 👌🏻
Where I live, the grey squirrels are the mild-mannered ones and the red squirrels are evil. Oh yeah... the bass part of the video was kind of cool, too.
What a fantastic bass video I like to play one
Surprised Andy Baxter's just allowed his home address to be revealed to all the tea leafs of the Greater Leeds area for them to "case" 🤔
Thought the same initially, having lived up there for most of my life, but as Funky Monks says….
I'm nuts for SSL 🐿️
🤣🐿🤘🏻
I need a bass... I don't have money. I need to get back to playing. I miss playing.
Oh my goodness I'm late for work!
i looked for a 70's jazz bass natural ash body. most were $3,000 , $4,000. to much. i ended up with a gibson lpb-2. $1,600. its in great shape. for being 30 years old. its a 93. real nice bass. have a good day.
Nice!! Thanks for checking the vid!
Nice sounding instrument. Hoping to have one someday.
👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
Did you say "Slap Accelerator? I'm your boy!
I got to have that JB as I was also born in 78, and have a 76 Pbass
A thing of beauty! 🤘🏻
I’d doooooo anything to win the NG3 but if i don’t win it I’m saving up to buy one 😮. Another great vid lad
i saw a 2 knob jazz bass here usa for like $15,000. very rare very expensive.
🤯🤯🤯
I would love to win ANY bass, but would prefer to win a lifetime membership to Scot’ Bass Lessons. 😊
There are definitely some great cheaper options out there these days! Thanks for checking the vid!
The true crime is that Rickenbacker 4005!!!!!! chillin on the wall and staying UNTOUCHED!!!! Like hwhat?!?!?
Right? So right man
Guess it's 30k by itself 😪
Scott and Ian born on the same year? At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised that they wer born on the same day in 1978 and are actually twins.😂
🤣🤣🤣
I've got a '72 Precision. Guess what year I was born in? Am I a cliché?
Paradise is there 😀
4:51 whats that yellow bass? It looks like a sandberg and a thunderbird but not

I tried to enter but it appears that I must be willing to give all my personal data to some Chinese company on social media to be entered. I'm not gonna do it. Too bad.
@Funky Monk Bless his naive little heart.
Both born in 1978…. separated at birth 😂
Skip to the good stuff @ 3:15. Scott loves the sound of his own voice way tooooooo much.
..... Also year of my birth
🧡🧡🧡
That was nothing but fluff. Did anyone learn anything?
1) the title clearly indicated that it won't be a lesson
2) it's a vlog about buying a bass, it is supposed to be light hearted, fun and entertaining
3) For newbies like me, I learned a bit more about the differences between 60s and 70s jazz basses
Are there Jazzbass area when they are lighter than other period ? I heard in the video that 70's JB are a bit heavy, is it the case for all 70's JB ? For me the weight is critical, i play 3,2 kg Andy Schack Unique IV and his light weight is a part of the pleasure to play it. But vintage basses are attractive.
