Same. My Saab was already 2dB quieter than a Velor, measured on the same road, same speed (70mph) and same equipment BEFORE I added all that sound proofing in the boot. There is virtually no road noise from the rear now. And this job reduced the wind noise and now my wet glass gets wiped like it should 👍
Its simple . When you make one saab 93 video i run into mine and make same repairs . Every video its excellent and very helpful . Please make some more like this . Little details with a do it yourself craftsman work .
This probably does more to reduce noticeable noise than putting dynamat "soundproofing" all over the car. Also getting a good quality set of tires rated high for quietness helps a lot with road noise. Also, creative ways to tighten up the squeaky and loose trim, panels, mirrors, and dashboards inside the car can greatly transform the level of serenity in an otherwise non-luxury car. These methods are usually a lot cheaper than having to buy a Lexus. I'm speaking as a 2018 Toyota Camry Hybrid owner.
Thanks for your videos! I have a problem, that mostly occurs during hot weather, when I roll down my windows they squeak A LOT. I have tried cleaning and lubricating the seals with no success ? Saab 9-3 2009
I have a 06 saab 9-3 2.0T I'm looking for the amplifier under the drive seat the only ones I can find people want $200- and more and there used do you have any idea were I can get one cheaper or new ?
AFAIK they are not available new, so 2ndhand is your only option. They are getting rarer, so not surprised they are starting to command good money. Open yours up and see if it can be cleaned up or repaired.

You’re a genius! This will also reduce the amount of water that enters inside the door panel (splashing against the vapor barrier).
YES, it will. Thanks
I've been waiting for this. Hate road/wind noise.. and my car (GTC) is very slient.

Glad to help. There's plenty more where this came from 👍
Very helpful, as always. Someday I’ll need this tutorial on my C1… Thanks Cyd. Cheers - Martin
YES, I've already done the C1, defo made a small difference (door seals are the worst source on the C1)
so you repalced them and list the tools- but were can I purchase the new trim peices? I cannot find it anywhere
I got good condition used ones
I didn't get the info about weather You used same seals or you bought new one? How about the prices of them in the UK?
Reused the original seals, except for one that was replaced with a good 2ndhand one.
This is great stuff. Thank you!
You're very welcome!

Any chance of doing a video on how to adjust the windows on the 9-3 convertible?
Unfortunately, I don't have access to a vert.
Damn, this video hit the point, just like I got more wind noises lately in mine SS. Seems to be helpful a lot!
Reduced the wind noise in mine AND the seal wipes the rain off the window too now
Thanks for your videos!

Yessssss, what about the outer and inner seals?
Do you mean the primary and secondary seals around the aperture?
@@CycloneCyd the one you messed around and the one on the inside that has a contact surface like velvet.
Great tip cyd...👍
