On the original 1989 album, this song is probably my least favorite. Yet, on this covers album, it's one of my favorites. He completely reinvents it, makes it his own, and makes me appreciate the song more. It is beautiful and enchanting.

If you knew music composition you would understand its much easier to be bop a song than to compose the music to fit a slower version. Its takes much more imagination, now you might like that kind of verve, on some songs its OK, on some songs both styles can be OK. But it matters not that hes famous, hes just one of the best at matching or composing music to lyrics since Dylan. He has basically no bad songs. Even Elton John has 60 percent bad songs. This dude is just gifted.
I know its hers, thats why I said what I said. Everything she writes shows a slight glimpse of good 'lyricmanship', but her songs are 90% generic dumb pop boring. She should just write the lyrics and let other people do the rest, thats what I meant, and it was pretty apparent.
