    15:09 If the alcohol manufacturers' grains are coming from the North, they pay VAT when they buy farm produce. Nigeria collects VAT on farm produce. So, that's not a good reason for collecting some part of VAT of the final product.

    • @kabifest8897
      @kabifest8897 Месяц назад +2

      You don't even know the meaning of the word VAT ,it's simply means VALUE ADDED TAX

    • @seuna.8438
      @seuna.8438 Месяц назад +1

      @@kabifest8897 You've not said anything. Explain yourself. VAT is added at every stage of the supply chain, except the Government of the country intentionally exempts the product. At the final stage where it reaches final consumers, sales tax will be added. As far as I can remember, it's only seeds and farm machineries Nigeria exempt VAT in our Agricultural sector. I think that's fair to help farmers.
      A farmer added value to seeds. That's a stage. Govt exempt VAT on seeds. Farmers won't pay VAT. The seeds multiply and become farm produce, maybe grains. The alcohol manufacturer adding value to the grains is another stage. They will pay VAT. Go and buy farm produce from a reputable registered farm in Nigeria, check your receipt, then you will understand better.

However, I blame Mr. Tinubu himself for not coming out and say exactly what Mr. Sanni is saying eloquently. You cannot just allow all these so-called senators to mislead people about the bill and just sit there without doing anything. All he needs to do is come out and make these short but powerful points about the bill. How hard can that be?!

    If this isn't lip service, Sen. Sheu has done Nigerians good calling for proper acclimatization and awareness of what is contained in the tax reform bill.

    Why not talk on derivation?

  • @alexoshike3367
    @alexoshike3367 25 дней назад

    Senator VAT is a comsumtion tax. The tax remited from purchasing the grains have already paid by the consumers. And it is the location of the cosumers that the tax will be derived from. Like wise the tax for the consumtion of alcohol is paid by the consumers and should be derived from the location where the consumer resides. So stop this your bullshit senator. Your northern region do not contrubute to the VAX from alcohol since your location forbids the business of alcohol and subsequently you people dont consume alcohol for a flawed religious reason.

    Shehu Sani is the new Daniel Bwala or Omokri or Fani Kayode - some that tasted high class and is now broke , looking for the leanest bones and scraps. Tinubu destroyed Nigerian economy in one year with 300 percent inflation. Every thing has tripled except may be rent. Petrol went more than 5 times from when Tinubu came. The so called budget of 47 trillion is less than Buhari's budget of 15 trillion in real terms. Is this the man you are supporting - in which 70 percent of the population can not even eat comfortably once a day. Yet the man went to buy a 150 billion Naira aircraft for his creature comfort !!!
